Hi all,

Didn't post yesterday, didn't even touch a computer!

About yesterday's w/o: I wasn't in the mood for a run, but late afternoon I did go out for a 7K run. It started off as a bad run, but then after 3K it got better. As I followed a bend in the road and ran along an open field about 500meters from the dike, I was suddenly pushed by the wind. All of a sudden it was unbelievably stormy. Have you ever had anyone on a bicycle ride beside you and have them push you in your back making you run faster? Well, kind of like that: I had this big windy hand in my back pushing me so fast my legs were moving like a maniac trying to keep up. I must have looked like an out of control Mary Poppins trying to lift off of the ground :) I could barely keep up. Ofcourse I could have stopped and walked, but the stubborn side of my ego did not want to give in to this wind. After 2K I was protected from the wind again by the trees. Sadly, quite a few of them had not survived a previous battle with the wind. Anyways, when I got home I thought I had had an amazing run. That big windy hand was a totally new experience for me.

This morning I did Imax3 (interval 1-5) and Body Max UB split. Was finished in less then 70min.

Have a great w/o ladies and a wonderful day.

Morning Dutchie and all who follow!

Oh, yes, I've felt that big windy hand on a run before. You describe it perfectly! The downside is turning around and having to run AGAINST the big windy hand:p

I did MM last night. I managed to up my weight to 30 lbs on the barbell bicep curls, so I was pretty pleased about that:)

Tonight is Lowmax.

Hope everyone has a great Thursday!

Oh my Shelley, #30 on biceps!

I was already on my way home, running in a big circle. On my way out I had no problems with the wind.

But I did run against a storm once with my son. We were laughing all the way, cause our caps were leading a life of their own, trying to escape from our heads all the time ;-) And we had to literally lean forward cause otherwise we would have been blown over. And we were moving our legs as best we could, but it seemed like we weren't moving forward. Kind a like being on a treadmill on the open road ;-) We had so much fun that day, we still sometimes talk about it.

Dutchie, I would think the wind at your back would be a GOOD thing!:)

Shelley, you mean 15# DB's right? Holy cow! Good for you! I'm jealous!}(

Okay so today is LowMax followed up by the 2ND HALF of IMAX 2!!! OMG!   I am soooo scared!

If you all don't see me posting the rest of the day after I log off to exercise please call an ambulance!;)

I'm still jealous! That's great! I don't have a barbell...is there a difference when doing curls with a barbell as opposed to DB's?

>in my experience, my weaker side (left) has to work harder
>with dumbells than with a barbel.

I have heard Cathe say that the barbell can tilt to one side when you get tired and the stronger arm will take up the slack....I KNEW there was a reason that I really needed to get a barbell!;)

Shelley, the barbell doesn't tilt on you does it?:p

Good Morning Fit Chicks!!!

Today is supposed to be a LB workout for me, but I missed my cardio yesterday. The doctor is in today at work and he runs the office in a fast and furious pace. Bottom line is that if I don't get some cardio in today, it ain't gonna be pretty;) . So I've decided on LowMax...cardio with some leg burning.

Dutchie: You are a riot!:7:7 Keep em coming!

Shelley: Congrats on the 30# bicep curls...it looks as if we are on the same rotation lately. Have fun w/LowMax!

Wendy: Oh MY!!!! Let us know how it goes!

Hello to all that follow...have a great day!

Good Morning Fitness Friends!

Today is a 45 min. treadmill run and coremax #2.
First I have a dentist appointment for a crown, so I hope to fit the run in this afternoon.
I'm going to do coremax before I leave.

Wendy.....doesn't that make TWO long cardio days for you this week???
The one you are doing today is killer but it's also fun. I like lowmax and especially love Imax 2, and it was a great combo!!!!!

Have a great day everyone!!!!:D

Good Morning everyone!!

Today will be:
AM
Terminator: Viper
PM
PLB

Has anyone seen Oxygen magazine this month??? The article on Barbie Guerra is so inspiring and just amazing!! I would love to see her in action..the article just filled me with so much, I hope everyone gets a chance to read about her.

Denise

:)

Hi, everyone!

Today is lower body for me. I think I'm going to do GS - Legs again, even though I think I'm actually scheduled for PLB. It'll be my 2nd time, and I just really liked the flow and feel of it last Sunday.

That's it for now. Got to get to hoppin' at work. I got a project with a big deadline. See ya!

Hi all!

Shelley - You are an animal! I can't even fathom using that much weight.

Shannon - I agree about GS Legs, the time seems to fly by and the transitions are so smooth. This is my favorite Cathe lower body workout, I think.

Today was cardio, so I did Christi Happy Hour hi/lo with abs. Have a great day!

Good morning everyone,

Dutchie, I love the way you describe your runs. It's obvious you really love running, and your descriptions make me want to get out there and experience some of that too! :)

WTG Shelley!

Shelley, Wendy Tammy, enjoy Low Max today!

Denise, I'll probably pick up the new issue this weekend. BTW I'm using the cover model for last month's issue as inspiration right now. My sister, who introduced me to Cathe but has been on hiatus for several months, saw the cover and decided she wants that look again by this summer so started back with Cathe the next day. :)

Shannon, I really like GS legs too, but I only do the standing part. Hopefully when I finish this P90X rotation, I'll be able to do the whole thing.

Becky, hope your dental appointment goes well.

Today is Yoga X. Hopefully I'll complete it before the morning is over.

Take care everyone,
Pamela

Good morning ladies

Thanks Sandra...:)...I ended up doing SJP instead as I wanted something different! Can't wait to see what you think about GS legs!!!

Annette...I believe I have those Taebos! I remember when I did the lower body bootcamp, the tubing slipped and slapped my leg..hard...yeoe, I can see why you would be sore as those are good workouts.

Pamela...great results from P90X!...Congrats!!!

Great story Dutchie! I too have felt that nasty wind. Shelley is right running against that hand can be a bear...you did a great job!

Way to go on the bicep curls Shelley!!

Wendy...sending high intensity energy vibes your way...:)..and yes a barbell for curls is a must

Tammy..have fun with Lowmax

Good workout Becky

Denise...I read Oxygen once, too many ads for my taste...:(

Shannon...GS legs does flow well and those slow motion lunges...yeow!!!

I am doing Yoga (Baron Baptiste) AbRipperX and a 5 mile run

Enjoy the day...:)...Carole

Thanks Carole!

Carole, I'm thinking of adding a run/walk today since I only have yoga on the rotation. I feel strong enough for it, but I don't want to overdo it. What do you think?

I think if you go easy and maybe only for 20-30 mins. I like running after yoga as my body feels all stretched out...:)...Carole

Morning ladies,

Last night, Imax 2 ;-) i couldn’t find the strength to combine a UB workout with it :( This morning Kick Max :p

Question, after KM what do you guy recommend for an evening workout.

I’m think maybe ME or Power hour or MIS US & Abs.

Teddygirl~

Morning all. Late check in today. We found fraudulent activity on my credit card this morning, so DH and I spent all my extra time trying to get that taken care of.x(
This morning was Rhythmic Step followed by abs from MTV Mix Pilates. Thanks to those who recommended this. The ab sections were short, but I sure did feel them. I'm looking forward to trying the rest. I just got it from Netflix, so if I really like it I might need to invest in it.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Katie

Hi everybody,

Oh and Carole, that would hurt, I don't have the bands but still felt it and will probably put on ankle weights the next time I do it for added resistance. I don't know what the bands are made of and since I am allergic to latex I didn't want to take a chance with them.

I did PS Back today along with the Billy Blanks' Cardio Bootcamp using weighted gloves since I don't have the bands, it added more resistance to the workout.

Hope you all have a great day!!:7
