Good morning.

ME today. I'm tired of leg presses! I use a DB instead of a plate. By the 3rd set. I used no weight at all!

Who is planning on going to the road trip? I saw Heather's and Tammy's responses on Cathe's thread. I'd like to commit now, but I need to wait to see what life is bringing me. We have a summer vacation to schedule and DS's college scedule to consider.

Janie, I love your exercise room! How wonderful! Can you tell i'm a bit jealous!

Have a wonderful day. I hope everyone's westher is warm! I'm a little worried. The custard stand in town is due to open soon. I have a hard time saying no to custard.:eek:

Tammy - I hope you feel better!

I posted my preference on the roadtrip thread. July is pretty much out for me, so I hope it will be the first part of August.

I'll undecided again on how to proceed with this week's rotation. I am behind a day. I was going to do L&G today and the run and PH tomorrow but when I took a closer look, that would mean ME on Saturday... don't think ME the day after PH is a good idea..

I'll decide hopefully before time to work out. I'll either do PH or L&G today but ditch the idea of doubling up tomorrow.

Thanks Phyllis for the heads-up on the roadtrip post! I had no idea Cathe had posted about it! I am going on vacation with my family at the end of July so I just posted the 2 weekends that I CAN'T go. Otherwise I am not picky. :)

Jane, Have a good work no matter what you decide to do!:)

It's a spin class for me this morning and yoga later today.

I'm still sick :(...the chest cold has exploded into an all-out head cold...YUCK! I'll have to use my best Jane rotation tweaking to make up my lost workouts...:7

I plan on attending the roadtrip if I can grab a spot! Something tells me more people are going to want those coveted spots this year.

Phyllis: I use a dumbbell for leg presses instead of a plate too.

I hope everyone is having a good morning. Today was KPC, but I am over the kickbox for this week ( I did Tracey's earlier this week ) so I subbed Marcus' Airborne ( 75 minutes ) and the stability ball section from KPC.

Morning ladies. Ugh, I'm so frustrated. A little background, I get really bad migraine headaches during TTOM, well last night I had a horrible headache, but planned to do my workout as scheduled for this morning. The alarm went off this morning, I was awake, I was psyched and ready to do my workout (PUB). I got through the first set of chest and my head just started throbbing again. So, I decided to stop before it got too bad, took some Advil and went back to sleep for an hour. The headache is much better now, but I am TOTALLY bummed that I didn't get to do my workout this morning. I am going to see how my head feels later and if it feels alright I'll do my workout tonight when I get home, but I REALLY wanted to do it this morning. x(

So, I may have to change my rest day tomorrow to today instead.

Sorry to vent.

Good Morning Girls!

Yesterday I got in a walk outside. Today I did LIC cardio premix and LOVED it ! I did it once before but just really took to it this time, loved the music and the flow........Huge fun factor for me!:7

We JUST made plans to go on vacation in mid-july so I hope that's not when the Cathe get together is !!!:eek: I really would love to go this year!

I did some leg exercises (very few actually) off of L & G, then did the Hardcore Kickbox Circuit then abs off of MIS for my workout today.

This is what I did today with Gym Style legs, and on Marcy. I did as heavy with weight as I could do. Much of what Cathe used.

Warm Up
Standing Legs
Barbell Squats
2nd set 3rd set plus bonus reps
Front lunges w/dumbbells
set #2, 8#'s in ea. hand
Rear lunges w/dumbbells
Plie Squats w/dumbbells
2nd set
Leg Press w/band
2nd set barbell deadlift w/toes elevated
barbell stiff legged deadlifts on high step
slow motion lunges w/dumbbells
standing calf raises

Floor work Legs
Tibialis anterior toe pulls
Glute squeezes on the ball
One legged Roll Outs on the ball (this goes right into glute presses)
Glute Presses on the ball
glute tucks w/step and band
Roll In's on the ball
Inner thigh squeeze on the ball
Inner thigh lifts w/band
vertical outer thigh press w/band
outer thigh raises w/band
Stretch

Marcy
Squats 3 sets 10 reps with 35 #'s
Leg curls for quads, 3 sets 10 reps with 35 #'s
Leg curls for hamstring 3 sets 10 reps with 25 #'s

I pushed myself today. OY!

I am just getting into yoga now that I am doing the X. Tony has converted me believe it or not!

Daily Check-in

This was another stressful day at work, and I am extremely tired again tonight. I started my day with Bible study and bouncing on my rebounder.

I did High Step Training tonight for the first time in almost a year. This is not one of my favorite Cathe workouts. High Step Challenge is way more fun with better music too. This workout is more challenging, but I really need better music to energize me for such a tough workout. Thankfully, Cathe is enthusiastic and encouraging in this one. I love the cardio segments. The upper body work slays me. I modified some of the moves, and I confess that I skipped some of the endless leg presses. This one is a keeper for the cardio premix and a future challenge. I will know without a doubt that I have really accomplished something great when I can get through this one without modifying anything. It is not destined to become a favorite. It simply does not have the fun factor of Boot Camp or Drill Max.

I feel like I have hit a wall with my weight progress. My official weigh-in is still a week away, so I am going by the way my clothes feel. I believe morning workouts are more effective for a variety of reasons. For some reason, intense cardio early in the day bridles my desire to eat more than my body needs for fuel. Morning exercise also makes me feel good all day and relieves the desire to seek those good feelings in food. I also believe that the changes I have made to my way of eating this month are not beneficial for me. I have not included any meat (including chicken) in my menus since New Year’s Eve and have not missed meat at all, but taking the next step and trying to avoid all animal protein is backfiring on me. I am not consuming enough protein or fat, and I am hungry all the time. I just want to eat, eat, eat all the time. This is causing me to think about food too much, which is definitely not desirable! I am still planning to fast cheese and chocolate for the rest of this 40 days, but I need to add organic yogurt smoothies or organic boiled eggs or something to my menus. I am simply not satisfied with a 100 percent plant-based way of eating. I need tiny portions of dairy and eggs to keep me sane and satisfied! I admire the people who have the discipline to eat perfectly clean all the time, but my goal for life is a place of balance and moderation. I do need to eliminate the soy again. I have been eating Ezekiel bread and non-chocolate Clif Bars and Luna Bars for protein, and I feel bloated and sluggish. I have determined that dairy and eggs are fine for me. Soy is definitely the problem. It causes digestive issues too. I prefer the taste of almond milk, so my dairy intake will still be limited. I need more variety in my menus too. I am looking forward to summer produce!

Y’all have sold me on the Cathe Road Trip!!! It was in the 80s in Texas today. I can handle the Jersey heat, but my hair does much better in a drier climate. I imagine that New Jersey is humid being so close to the coast. I can get good prices on plane tickets to Philadelphia, so I am excited about that. I will need someone to pick me up at the airport. I am hoping that I can get a spot. If Cathe starts the registration during the day while I am at work, it may fill up before I get to register. :-(

Tammy, I hope your husband gets a job in Texas. It would be fun to have you down here (especially if you receive free samples of Cabot cheese)! ;-) Just kidding! :7 I would love to have you with or without the cheese! :)
