Yea - Friday's here! Meaner Legs - done! I'm trying to do pikes on the ball. I can't seem to bring my body all the way into the pike position, so I thought that if I work on it a little everyday, maybe I'll see some improvement. It's such a cool move. I'll take helpful hints from everyone.

Wendy, my sister lives here in NJ. Her friends son is training for this marathon in Greece, so she thought she and her friend would join him. She's 61 yrs young

Good morning Phyllis and all that follow...

No hints on pikes!! I've only been able to do one and that is after doing the Butts and Guts rotation. I don't think it is a strength thing for me... It must be technique.

Today is LowMax.... third day of the rotation and I can see this rotation is going to be a burner!

Good Morning!

It's a step class for me at the gym this morning and then Baron's Long and Lean Yoga this afternoon.

Phyllis: Your sister is da bomb! Good for her!:)

Jane: I can't do a full pike either. I AM however, much better at them now then I was even a year ago. I can get to the top of my toes, not the tips though. They are TOUGH!

Have a great day, ladies.

Happy Friday Phyllis, Jane & All Who Follow!:D

I KNOW it can't be a strength thing Jane, because I can do them ALL! It has to be technique! I was showing my DD how to do them the other day and she has amazing u/b strength and it took maybe 10 tries before she could do ONE.......you need to think about allowing the ball to roll under your feet, so don't dig them into the ball too hard, also think of having a pulley under your middle and pulling you UP, UP , UP! It works for me.:p Good luck Phyllis!

Today is the first day all week that school is on schedule!
It's still only 1 degree here this morning but no additional snow.

This morning I'm doing the cardio & weights premix from DM2. Well, I should say I'm going to ATTEMPT it. I've been keeping all my workouts to 45 min to an hour and this one is 70 minutes long, so I'll do what I can! If you don't hear from me for a while, will someone come by the house and check on me????
 :p

I'm adding on a HI to you Wendy!!:D We posted at the same time.

Good Morning Fit Chicks!

:7:7TGIF:7:7

This morning for me will be DrillMax.

Jane: Yup...this rotation is a burner!

Phyllis: Becky has some great advice on pikes....concentrate on lifting your butt in the air. Also try putting your ball on your sticky mat to stabilize it. You'll be reminded tomorrow that you did Meaner Legs today.

Becky: We'll be checking on you later.

Tig: Enjoy your step class.

Conni: BM#1 is a teeny, weeny, tiny bit easier than BM#2, yes?:+

Annette: Nice mish-mosh yesterday.

Heather: I'm in an eating rut myself....salads, salads, salads. How about some homemade soups? Circuits mixed with total body workouts sounds like a good rotation. I have discovered my body leans out with circuits, with an occasional week of heavy lifting. Hang in there!!!!!

Have a great day ladies!

Connie, I meant to ask......how did you like Survivor??
I loved the new beginning and the good camp / bad camp idea.
Of course, I wouldn't want to get stuck in the bad camp!:p

Also, I reread my post and I am not doing DM , I'm doing BM2 !

Becky: We'll still be checking up on you later;)

Hey Tammy!

I answered your question about long and lean late last night if you feel like going back and reading it. :)

Okay, I did my own premix of BM2 and I loved it!
I'm way behind and this is my first time trying it.. but what I did was all three step combos, then skipping back work, did all the weight work plus abs and stretch to make a 65 min. workout.
The step combos were easy to pick up and fun to do, I enjoyed the music, and the weight work went FAST and felt like it got right in there!
DOMS tomorrow for sure!}(

Tammy, no need to send EMT's this time! ;-)

Good morning everyone,

Well, someone had to be late posting, so why not me?

Becky - I did like the new beginning in the Survivor season, very refreshing. Now, if they would only do away with the Exile Island thing I would be happy. I just don't see the point of that, I guess.

Today was BM, and I made sure to get up early enough to do the whole thing. I have been worked out today, that is for sure! This rotation is killing my lower body. How about you guys??

Connie,
I'm with you on the Exile Island.......ESPECIALLY when the clue says SORRY, nothing here, look for the Idol back at camp!
She was there for no reason at all !x(

Hi all,

I did a premix off of Amy Bento's Kickbox Xtreme today. Nice workout, just got to get more proficient on her moves. Her counting isn't always right either but it is a very good workout.

Now I need to grocery shop and get my hair cut this afternoon.

Have a great day!!:7 :D

I still think this could be better than last season's Survivor, at least I am hoping it is!

Annette - I have to be careful on those premixes. If you don't have that workout down cold some of those can really be frustrating, imo!

LowMax is done..

Conni - I'm with you, this is definitely a lower body burner and I'm just on day #3:eek: Oh but I do love to work my LB!}(
