Good morning all!

So what did everyone do with their extra hour? i was able to sleep in a little and still have time for BM - that is if I get off the computer anytime soon;).

Conni, how was HSC yesterday? Did you decide on a rotation for this month?

Tammy, keep your chin up! You'll feel better about things when all of your pain is gone.

Vilma, what KB weight did you start out with? I'm investigating as I'll put them on my Chanukah/Christmas list this year.

Annette, I hope you had a quick workday!

Good Morning Glories!

Today is cardio, most likely a treadmill run and then some ab work and a nice stretch.

Phyllis ~ I could use an extra hour of sleep every night! ;)

Enjoy your Sunday ladies!

Good Morning Gals

Today I slept in- got an extra hour of sleep:) And its a rest day for me.

I got my first kettlebell yesterday:D :)!!! DH knew I have been researching them and discussing them with my brother, so he surprised me and during our errands yesterday we ended up at Dicks sporting goods!!! I am going to try the tutorial in a few minutes. After reading alot of info both here and at Art of Strength, the video there suggested a 12K for women who lift and are active, so I ended up with the 25# one from Dicks. I am worried it may be to heavy, but I got it with a 20$$ off coupon, and when I bought it I now qualify for another $10.00 coupon, so if its to heavy I will wait for my coupon and get the 20#. I am really excited!! I hope I like it:confused:!! I am leaning toward buying the kettle bell way dvd. The dvd from GoFit that comes with it has a tutorial and a short workout. Right now I am going to try to incorporate it into my routine as my once a week full body workout.

Phyllis ~ hope that answered some questions for you. ;)

Vilma ~ Thank you for all your help!!!:)

Tammy~ enjoy your cardio today.

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone

Hi everyone,

Extra sleep is a great way to celebrate turning the clocks back, yes??? That felt really good today, considering my sleep patterns border on the nonexistent.

HSC is pretty cool on the rebounder, I could really get some great air going on those air jack, tuck jump things!
I decided to do Fitnessfreaks Get Ready for Summer rotation, I have renamed it Get ready for the Holidays! I did this one in June and really liked it, so I am going back into it tomorrow.

Have a great day everyone.

Go Browns!!

Good Sunday Morning Ladies

What did I do for my extra hour ?
Ha! I slept in!:D

I didn't get to bed until just before 2am last night anyway. I'm a natural night owl at heart - I was up reading and chatting with my oldest.

Today I have On The Edge (Lauren Brooks kettlebell dvd - this workout has such a long name lol) planned

Phyllis - I started with the 15# Go-Fit kettlebell that I found at Target as it was the only one I could find. They had a 20# but since I wasn't sure and playing it safe I got the 15# .

I don't even use it anymore but plan on keeping it for turkish Get Ups and Windmills into Overhead squats, which I use a 10# dumbbell which I hate as it feels so off in my hands doing those moves.

I am now using my 8kg/18# which is what is recommended to start with and I have my 12kg/26pound on backorder. I'm sure once I get my 12kg I'll be using it for many swings and stuff.

Many places say women should start with 8-12kg kettlebells.

Here is a link to a thread I started about kettlebells http://www.thecathenation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=252489
I have shared it with both Becky & Deanie many folks here where very helpful to me that weekend :)

Tammy I ended up doing KPC yesterday instead as I didn't want to fuss with my step, but I'll join you for a nice stretch....my body is craving a nice relaxing long one today.

Enjoy your TM run I have one planned for tomorrow .

Deanie
Congrats on getting your kettlebell... just be careful. If you find it a bit heavy don't take it back as you'll soon progress to it esp. for swings ;)

Come back for a follow up report after you practice with it.:)

The Kettlebell Way is AOS Providence but with the tutorial section --- Its a really great dvd. Today I'm doing Lauren Brook's dvd - that one is super good too.

Your welcome I hope you enjoy and have fun with your new toy. I love mine :p

Conni
- I did that rotation and really enjoyed it. Sounds like you had a great workout w/ HSC & the rebounder. I would like to get one but I have so much fitness related stuff clogging up a corner of the family room already .

Unfortunately, Phyllis, I had to work a double I am now sick (sore throat, hurts to swallow, stuffy head, generally don't feel well at all) and I have to go back to work 2nd shift today. And I only got 4 hours of sleep because of my throat. I can't call in.sigh.

I am a mess.:(

Thanks for asking.
