Daily Check In Saturday, January 13..

Conni

Cathlete
Good morning everyone,

Just finished GS Legs and ab hits, no time for CM 2 today, I will put that in tomorrow after my cardio. DS has an early Basketball game this morning so we are off and running ( or dribbling, if you prefer..);)

Have a great day, it is my 11th anniversary today. DH is working today, so our celebration is postponed until next weekend probably, but that is okay. After 11 years, one more week is irrelevant!:7

Good Morning Fit Friends!

Connie, Happy Anniversary!!!!:) Wow, you are off and running early this morning girl! I'm still drinking my coffee here. :9

Well, no DOMS from y'day's work out. I am hoping to get some still. }( I will be going to the gym for a TM run this morning in lieu of KenpoX. Tomorrow is a rest day and my first week of the X will be complete! YEAY! :+ :+ :+

Have a great day!

Good morning Conni and all that follow!

Happy anniversary Conni! You know, I had to work the weekend of our anniversary too last month, 27 for us, and you're right, one more week doesn't really matter. What have y'all got planned?

I did CC#3 yesterday and my knee did fine. It is getting better. One thing that is in the back of mind (especially since I can't remember hurting my knee), is the fact that my RA may be progressing. I am tightly controlled right now, even my wrists that have given me such a fit for about three years now are healed up for right now. I can't imagine progressing as tightly controlled as I am. I go back to the rheumatologist for my routine visit... we'll see.

Today I GS CT and BSB... I didn't do GS CT on Thursday so I'm going to combine them today.

Oh those LCD's got me yesterday, been a while since I've done them and CoreMax also! Plenty of muscle confusion going on yesterday!

Have a good one!

ETA - Hey Wendy! We were posting at the same time.

Happy Anniversary Conni, today is also my anniversary, I have been married 17 years today. What a surprise to find we share the same anniversary. My dh and my oldest son are on their way to NC to get some furniture from my parents house that my father is selling(the house) (after he remarried after my mom's death a year ago this coming Monday). So we aren't celebrating either today.

Don't laugh but with my shoulders really hurting weight lifting is almost out completely, so I bought myself a Yoga Booty Ballet workout to try for days when my shoulders are hurting. So today I did the Light and Easy one. Hummm I really need to work on loosening up my hips some,LOL!! But it was different.

Have a great day!!

Jane: I'm glad to hear your knee is feeling a bit better. Good job confusing all those muscles}( }(

Tig: Congratulations on surviving week #1! I hated KenPo...enjoy your run!

Annette: Happy Anniversary!

Phyllis: Another acceptance yesterday...this time to a state school. I've got to start working on my FAFSA....BLECH!

Daily Check-in

After sleeping for 10 hours last night, I started feeling better this morning. I had more energy and did not feel like my head was in a fog. I still cannot believe I slept that long! My body must have needed the rest.

After my quiet time, I did Cardio Kicks followed by the Kickbox planks and abs on the Ab Hits DVD. Even though I modified some of the jumping (to keep from getting too hot and triggering a coughing fit), I enjoyed the workout. It felt good to move, and my heater got to rest for an hour. Cathe kept me warm!

I usually do my grocery shopping late in the afternoon, but I knew that I did not have time to waste with the weather continuing to deteriorate. I needed groceries and wanted to get cough syrup as well. I suffered for weeks last year because I waited too long to start taking something for my cough. I braved the cold and rain and drove to HEB, which was a real zoo today. The parking lot was full of shopping carts because people were abandoning them everywhere. My umbrella was worthless with the wind blowing cold rain in my face. Thankfully, I survived my shopping expedition and returned home for the day while the temperature was still hovering above freezing.

I curled up under my favorite quilt this afternoon, rested, and had a nice phone conversation with a precious friend. My pastor called me late this afternoon to let me know that he decided to cancel our Saturday evening worship service. I could not have picked a better weekend to stay in and rest. My body needed the rest, and I am not missing church or fun times with my friends because everyone is staying in tonight. Hopefully, the power will stay on all weekend. I have bananas, oranges, whole wheat crackers, natural peanut butter, and a few Clif Bars, Luna Bars, and Odwalla Bars just in case. I am prepared for whatever comes my way.

Blessings,
Heather B.
