Good morning fit ladies...

MIS for me today. I'm working today, so I'll get on it as soon as I get off.

Have a good one!

Good Morning!

Today calls for CM2 & TBS1 and I'd like to get in a walk later if I can too.

Rain today but 75 degrees!!! :)

Have a good one everybody!

Good morning everyone,

Did you all get in on the roadtrip? That thing sold out quick! I think Cathe either needs to add people or add another trip, that is just too small a group to accommodate the majority that should have the opportunity to go. JMO.

Today is Christi's Solid Gold Cardio and Coremax 3. Have a great Saturday....Go Buckeyes!!!!

Good Morning Fit Chicks!

Today is PUB.

Jane: Enjoy your day and good luck w/MIS.

Becky: I want to take a walk today too.

Conni: I can't believe how fast the RT sold out. Last RT took a few days to sell out.

Phyllis: See you in August!;)

My cold is beginning to subside thank goodness.

I am thinking of going for a run today. :)

My plan is to pick the X rotation back up starting Monday.}(

Have a great day.

Rest day for me today. It's not particularly cold out - damp and cool.

Jane, how are FIL and friend?

Tammy, I can't believe I managed to get in the the RT! I'm sorry for those who didn't make it. Yes, I'll CU in August!!

Daily Check-in

Good morning! This has been a long and emotional week, but I am feeling so much better today. It is amazing what a night of restful sleep can do!

After my quiet time Thursday morning, I enjoyed one my favorite happy workouts just for fun. I had a blast with Step, Jump, & Pump. It always makes me smile!

Yesterday was my rest day. I woke up at 4:00 a.m. to practice my speed typing drills in anticipation of signing up for Cathe’s Road Trip. Yes, I did. I had a game plan too, and it worked for me. I have been dreaming about this Road Trip for over a year and a half and cannot wait to experience it. I felt like a child on Christmas Eve Thursday night. I woke up with butterflies and was anxious and excited. The Road Trip sold out in 3 minutes, so I feel blessed to be one of the 105 women who gets to attend. What a joy! I have been coasting for a few weeks, and this is the burst of inspiration I need to get back in the race. I am disappointed about not getting to meet everyone. Shelley is planning a trip to Dallas next year, so I will get to meet her then. I am hoping that Wendy and the others who live in New Jersey will crash the party!

I enjoyed the stability ball segments of Total Body Stretching after my quiet time yesterday morning. My cycle finally started too.

My friend’s memorial service was beautiful. The immediate family had a private grave side service early yesterday morning then gathered at the church with the rest of us to celebrate her life. I was wondering if crying was out of style because everyone was so emotionless. Everyone but me. I was a crying ball of tissues on the back pew. My pastor reminded us that grief is healthy and normal. He shared that he cried himself to sleep every night after his little girl was killed by a drunk driver (when she was 6 years old). I love my pastor. He is so real. The service ended with us singing “Days of Elijah” and some good old-fashioned Southern Gospel music. It was very uplifting.

I bounced on my rebounder for a few minutes last night to unwind, slept like a baby last night, and woke up feeling refreshed. I finished my first 12-week Cathe rotation this morning with Kick, Punch, & Crunch followed by the planks and abs from Kick Box on the Ab Hits DVD. I am planning to start a FIRM and TLT recovery week next week. After Easter, it will be time to start training for the big weekend at Cathe’s place.

Tammy and Phyllis, I am so looking forward to meeting you in August. Is anyone else from our check-in going?

Conni, Cathe has already shared that she will either plan multiple Road Trips for next year or one big one in Atlantic City. Her place is not big enough to hold more people. They were originally planning to invite 150 people in 2005 but decided that they could not fit that many people in the room after they did a dress rehearsal with all the steps and equipment in place. I think I would prefer smaller groups at her place. It is a nice size now, and I like a more personal feel. Not to mention, I cannot imagine doing Cathe impact on a concrete floor at a convention center! I honestly do not think it would be the same experience with over 300 people. Next year will be interesting for sure. I would love to meet you someday!

Blessings,
Heather B.

RE: Daily Check-in

Ooh, Wendy. I saw your post on the <---- thread! How cool that you're planning to be there! I was thinking that Cathe closed the gym to all but the RT for that day, but it is great that you can get a day pass!! You gals seem to have a lot of fun on that thread. Can I join?

RE: Daily Check-in

Heather: sent you a PM. I think it's just you , me and Phyllis and of course that crazy party crasher Wendy!

Phyllis: Come on over to the <--- thread....ANYONE can post!

RE: Daily Check-in

Hey that's not a bad idea Wendy! I have not idea of I'll be joining you on the party crashing, but it is definitely something to think about!

Tammy - I meant to comment on you wanting moving to my part of the country. It is indeed a beautiful area. I wouldn't live anywhere else but, of course, I've been a Carolina girl all my life.

MIS is complete.

RE: Daily Check-in

Phyllis - I meant to respond to you also... this has been a long day!
FIL is doing well. He goes back to the dr. on Apr. 2 to find out his final biopsy results and also to schedule his surgery.

My friend, well, she is just going through the motions right now. She has a lot to keep her busy right now and I'm glad of that. The only thing that is going to help her now is time.

I don't know if I've told all of you, but my DS went back to work this past Monday. He is working only 6 hour days (his days are usually 10 hour days) and he is doing well. He is on light duty since he is still in his back brace. He goes back to the neurosurgeon this coming Thursday for x-rays and to see how he is healing.

Better get my kitchen cleaned up and hit the shower.

RE: Daily Check-in

Jane: Ditto what Phyllis said about your DS....truly miraculous! Your friend is lucky to have you to lean on.

RE: Daily Check-in

That's right! Just call me the Party Crasher!!! LOL }(

I did the lower body circuit premix of LIC today.

Toodles!:)
