Good morning fitness buddies...

Tammy, Becky, Wendy... thanks for the congrats on the TM. Tammy - I'll definitely be adding some Cardio Coaches to my Christmas wishlist. Can you give me some guidance on where to start?

Since I didn't get in B&G yesterday, I'll do that today when I get off work. DD has company coming for supper, so I doubt I'll get to double up on the w/o's today.

Have a good one!

Good Morning Jane,
Hi everyone else!!

I didn't get a walk in yesterday, but today I have to fit it in no matter what ! It's going to be 65 and sunny here. A true GIFT , in the end of November in Ohio !!!

Eating is okay. Not big portions but also not very healthy choices.
Too much stuffing & mashed potatoes around here still and not much in the way of greens .....I can't remember my last salad!!!;( :p

I can't wait to hear how you like your treadmill Jane. I LOVE mine!!! I record shows to watch on the monitor/tv screen and just go , go , go !:D One of these days I'm going to think about Cardio coach too.

Have a good one!:D

Jane, Have you tried the beloved Leg Blast Premix on B&G yet?? }(

Becky, Enjoy that walk! It was GORGEOUS here y'day too and I think today should be pretty nice as well! It really IS a gift to have weather like this where I am as well in NJ!:)

Today is my rest day and thank goodness for that! My knee is still giving my trouble. x(

I start a new rotation tomorrow involving the GS series and running. I will have to take it to the elliptical until my knee is better unless it recovers magically between now and tomorrow!

Have a great Saturday everyone!

Hi everyone,

Looks like another beautiful day here in NE Ohio, I am having no issues with this nice warm weather!

I am just getting ready to workout, having kind of a lazy Saturday morning ( a true rarity in my life..) and I have a good amount of time to work out today. I am going to do Tracey's KickBox and Sculpt DVD, her step workout yesterday was soooo much fun!

Have a great day!

Daily Check-in

Reality check! I was thrilled last night because I made it through the Thanksgiving holiday without stuffing myself. I thought I had a good game plan. I decided to celebrate Thanksgiving for a week. The turkey breast was clean. I fixed it myself. I basted it with butter but did not eat the skin. The mashed potatoes were made with whole milk and butter (and not clean). I ate turkey and mashed potatoes 7 days in a row and pumpkin cheesecake 4 days in a row. I ate on a child’s plate (the size of a desert plate) and kept my portions very reasonable. Eating a small portion every day allowed me to approach the food with control. I did not stuff myself or binge. I was so proud of myself. I ate turkey breast, mashed potatoes, Hawaiian bread, and pickles for my Thanksgiving meal plus pumpkin cheesecake for desert. I did not eat a bite of the stuffing or the other Thanksgiving junk. I was careful not to eat anything that would cause an allergic reaction. My portion sizes were not out of control. My calories were not over the top. But I feel sluggish and drugged this morning. I have no energy. All my clothes are suddenly uncomfortably tight. I was feeling great earlier this week. I do not know when this happened, but I faced the music and stepped on the scale this morning. Eek! I stripped down to my birthday suit and tried again. It did not help! I gained 10 pounds this week! How on earth did that happen?! I did not consume enough calories to gain that much weight. I am not convinced that it takes 3,500 extra calories for my body to gain a pound. Eating more animal protein and fat always invites a visit from the fat fairy. This is so discouraging. I just want to cry. I weigh 220 pounds again and never imagined that I would be this fat again. I am 40 pounds below my top weight.

I am off to watch my Bible study video session and do my morning workout. Hopefully, Beth Moore and Cathe will encourage me or give me a kick in the butt.

Blessings,
Heather B.

RE: Daily Check-in

Good Morning Fit Chicks!

I had IM#3 on my rotation for today, but then kept reading about all the fun}( }( }( }( everyone was having doing the B&G Leg Blast Premix}( }( }( }( , so I am going to do IM#3 intervals 1-5 and then the B&G Leg Blast Premix}( }( }( }( }( .....

Jane: I love ALL the cardio coaches, with volume #1 being the shortest and easiest to volume #6 being the hardest. Wait until they have one of those sales and just scoop them all up:7

Becky: Enjoy your walk today in this unusually warm weather.

Tig: Enjoy your rest day and I hope your knee feels better soon.

Conni: I love lazy Saturdays too...have a good workout!

Heather: ((((HUGS)))...hang in there and don't give in! My scale has not been nice to me either, but today we will batten down the hatches and work a little harder and eat a little cleaner;)

Hello to all that follow...have a great day!

RE: Daily Check-in

Hey everyone!

Becky, I know what you mean about the greens. I feel like I've been banned from fresh vegetables. I'm ready for Spring NOW!

Jane, have fun with the TM!

Heather, you did a good thing with your food planning. Now you know what doesn't work for you and you can revise your plan. I think you're doing really well?

Did everyone see Cathe's good morning message?

Daily Check-in

After watching my Breaking Free video session and working out with Cathe this morning, I am back with a determined focus. I am declaring war on this stubborn fat and taking no prisoners. I set goals for 2007, and I am ready! My game plan involves plenty of fiber and water. I am discovering that ratios are more important for me than calories. My body can process carbs, but fat goes straight to my butt! My body does not process meat well either, but fat is what really packs on the pounds. I drank a gallon of spring water every day this week and nothing but water, so I cannot blame it on sweet tea or sugary drinks. It must have been the butter and cream cheese.

I did the Drill Max cardio leg blast premix this morning. What a great workout! :7 I love this premix and will likely do this one more often than the workout as produced. It was enough of a cardio high to blast away the blues and make me feel good, and my butt was on fire again. I originally wanted to call this new series of DVDs the Fun Max Series, but the Butt Max Series is more like it! :7 If these workouts do not whip my rear into shape, nothing will!

Tammy, thanks for the encouragement. I will definitely be eating clean! :)

Phyllis, I will join you for Cardio Fusion in the morning! :)

Blessings,
Heather B.
