Now, I know what kettlebells are! I googled them because I had no idea. The look interesting. Tam, what kind of exercises do you do with them? It seems to me like it would be hard on the wrists?

Wendy, I think a visit to a med center is in order. Can you call your insurance company to see what your new Dr choices are?

LIS today and then shopping ...again! We are having our Chanukah celebration together with Thanksgiving on Thurs. So, that means this is my last shopping weekend. I'm almost done, but I need to shop by myself this time instead of with DDs. My dad arrives from FLA on Mon and he will enjoy helping me wrap.

Good morning!

Have fun today shopping Phyllis... I haven't even started!!!

Today is jam packed full and I'm so glad it is a rest day on the rotation (two rest days in a row with tomorrow being a rest day too). There is an optional cardio today but I believe I'll have that covered by the time I get done today.

We are going to pick up the flooring for the house today. I have to pick up paint, etc.... I'm going to start priming my bathrooms today and getting the ceilings done.

I also have my bedroom, office, living room, hall, and workout rooms to paint but that won't be today.

Need suggestions on a color for the workout room. Can't decide what to go with in there.

I'd better get busy. This day is going to go by in a blink.

Later!

Hi Ladies.

I've decided to do an upper body work out today. A kick-arse circuit of my own design is what I am thinking!}(

Phyllis: Yeah, I can find out what docs accept my insurance but I am being lazy about doing that because I don't want to switch (not that I have a choice!LOL) and wouldn't know who to choose anyway!:-(

Jane: I would go with a bright, cheery, energizing color for your work out room! Something that makes you wanna get up and dance!:+

Have a great day ladies.

Hi Girls!

Jane, oh man, you're BUSY today !!!
I like the idea of an energizing color for the workout room!

Phyllis, congrats on getting combo #3 ! I think I'm almost there. I viewed it over and over a few days ago and it was starting to click with me.

Today's a rest day. I've already been out shopping and bought a new vacuum and also a Christmas present. I am cleaning today.

Yesterday my 16 yr old daughter got her drivers license !!!!!!!!
A big day for her !
Of course now she wants to go EVERYWHERE and with gas over $3 a gallon we can't let her do too much of that !

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hummm seems we have 2 check ins this morning.

This one seems to be the popular one.

I did the warm up on PLB then did the floorwork and stretch, then added in the warm up dumbell squats off of MM and the dumbell regular squats and plie squats from that also, then did abs off of PSBB&A for my workout. It all felt real good and my weight was down again this morning so I am a happy camper!!!!:7 :D :) :7

Have a great weekend.:7 :) :D

Becky, I just bought a new vacuum last week myself! What kind did you buy? I bought a Bissel for pet hair. I'd love to get the Dyson but that's more then our budget can handle! LOL

I did a work out of my own design today for upper body and then wrapped it up with BM2 abs and a stretch.

Here's what I did for upper body:

Round 1:
standard push ups
reverse grip chins
side tri rise
dips
band bicep curls
inverted shoulder press
band o/h shoulder press
band upright rows

Round 2:
wide fly push ups
wide fly pull ups
band kick backs
dips
band bicep curls
band front raises
band side raises
band upright rows

Round 3:
dive bomber push ups
close grip o/h pull ups
side tri rise
band isolation bicep curls + bonus reps
band o/h shoulder press

I did between 12 and 15 reps for most of the exercises. There are a few I did more on and a couple I did less on. I felt I got a good work out.

Have a great evening folks!:)

Wendy,
I ended up with the Shark Infinity with the Pet Care System .
I looked at the Bissel too!:)

I would love a Dyson or Oreck one of these days but that wasn't going to work right now, especially right before Christmas!

Your workout looks like a killer!!!

Oh My! I forgot to check in today x( Today was 4ds kb/legs/core. I went shopping with my sister as she is getting married and wanted help picking out a wedding gown. She surprised me when she asked my to be her matron of honor. We found a beautiful gown for her and she told me I could pick out my own dress :D

Wendy ~ Hope you are feeling better...(((HUGS)))

Phyllis ~ The kettlebells can be hard on the wrist if your form is not right. CONGRATULATIONS on nailing combo#3 in HIS :D :D :D

Annette ~ Great job! Keep up the good work!

Becky ~ Hope you enjoyed your rest day...congrats to DD on her license and condolences to you....one more thing to worry about x(

Jane ~ Pick your favorite color! Wow! As hard as a house remodel is, you must be loving the results....as soon as I'm done with all these dang college tuitions I hope to do the same!

Daily Check-in

I had a fun Friday workout. I enjoyed the Kickbox cardio premix. I believe this is the “best of” Cathe kickboxing. I see elements of her other kickboxing workouts in this one. Kickbox is also the first kickboxing workout that gives me a great workout without weighted gloves. I have not even attempted adding weighted gloves to this one. After I complete Cathe’s November rotation, I may combine the cardio premix with the Kick, Punch, & Crunch cardio conditioning premix for a longer cardio option.

I faithfully finished the second week of Cathe’s November rotation this morning with Boot Camp. I have decided that I need a less intense Saturday morning workout. I am tired by the end of the week and have cleaning and errands to do too, so I do not want a workout that wipes me out. Not to mention, I usually stay up late every Friday night. I was dragging my wagon this morning. I gave my all to the cardio and had to push myself to finish the weight work. It was a struggle this morning. I am amazed when I read reviews that this series is too intermediate for some people. The cardio is not as intense as IMAX3, but the weight work is heavy for me! These were my workouts this week:

11-11-07 a.m. 4-Day Split Higher Intensity Step
11-12-07 rest
11-13-07 a.m. 4-Day Split Kickbox
11-14-07 a.m. Stretch Max
11-15-07 a.m. 4-Day Split Lower Intensity Step
11-16-07 a.m. 4-Day Split Kickbox (cardio premix)
11-17-07 a.m. 4-Day Split Boot Camp

I shared the New York Times article with my hairstylist this morning. She got a kick out of it. I took a long nap after my hair appointment and cleaned for an hour. I did my holiday grocery shopping tonight. I need to plan menus for the other days and do my regular grocery shopping tomorrow. Thankfully, tomorrow is a rest day.

Phyllis, I am looking forward to reading your review of Tracey’s new step workout. Step Sweatfest is fun. I am tempted to order the new one because I love the set and outfits, and Allison is so much fun to watch! Let me know if it is dancy or athletic.

Conni, feel free to chime in too with your review if you ordered this one. By the way, you must be strong if the 4-Day Split weight work is too light for you. Wow! I do not even own 30-pound weights yet.

Blessings,
Heather B.
