So glad you enjoyed the link on the new Beatles song. There is a backstory to this. Evidentally Sean Lennon, John and Yoko's son remembered John always writing songs or playing music around the house.
Somehow another Paul kept in touch with Yoko. In their conversations it came up that Yoko had tapes of the songs and other post Beatles stuff he wrote. There was a song in particular that he was working on that was sort of melancholy.
Yoko gave the tape of that songto Paul. Paul thought it would be a fitting tribute to John is the remaining Beatles could somehow perform with John and finish the song. I know George died a few years back. So that seemed not possible.
Then Paul remembered the guys did get together and recorded music and some off the cuff home video stuff before George's death. Paul shared allof this with Ringo and sent him the tape and asked him to come up with and record
an original drum track. Paul looked into seeing if there was a way to combine all of this as if the Beatles were all together in same room performing again. So the Song does have all the Beatles performing together this song.
This was a great feat and so fitting a tribute to John and fans everywhere will a enjoy and treasure the Fab Four once again. That's what I recall from another clip about the making of the muisc video. So cool.
The Beatles were before me but I still grew up wtih their music. My favorite is Paul. My SIL likes Ringo. Gotta love the Beatles. Enjoy your day
