Daily Check-in Monday April 3

Good morning fitness folks....

Yesterday was my marathon w/o day. I have more time on the weekends.

Today is rest day which I am making an active rest day. I get in trouble with my eating when I don't work out at certain times.

I plan on taking a leisure walk today, doing an ab routine, and a stretch.

Wild storms in our area last night and into today. We are under a tornado watch until 11 a.m. This same storm system wreaked havoc in Tennessee overnight.

Have a great day even though it is Monday, oh wait, it's Wonderfulday, of course it's going to be good.:p :)
 
Hi Jane, Hi Phyllis ! Good morning Everyone!

We had storms here too but not as bad as you Jane. Still, it's the second night in a few that we've gone to bed with thunder , lightening and heavy rain ! SPRING is here!!

I'm doing GS Back today and either step or the bike for my cardio. I'll decide when it's time to begin!! I FEEL more like Step but I have lots of shows on TiVo waiting to be watched and I try to watch mainly when I am on the treadmill or bike. (motivation! ):p

It was a great weekend,.....just not long enough!!!!

Gooooood Afternoon everyone,

I have a major case of DOMS in my midback and obliques.

I took a Bodybalance class at my gym yesterday. And I'm so sore today from all those sun salutations. I liked all the poses in this class, but the class itself I didn't like. The music was too loud (couldn't hear the instructor and yes, my hearing is fine ;-)) and not what I would associate with yoga and tai-chi. There was no flow as the instructor would stop when a song ended. And she was constantly telling the class how difficult the poses were.

I decided to repeat my March rotation as I really liked it. So this morning was S&H chest/back/planks&abs. I actually worked out in my PJ's ;-).

This evening I'll take a spinning class and probably finish my day with Crunch candlelight yoga.

I started a PHH rotation today and did Abs Burner this morning. Tonight I will do Thigh Trimmer.

I am really anxious to see new results by totally doing something different (no Cathe :eek: ).

I was up early for Day 1 of the Get Ready for Summer Rotation. Today was the Push Pull upper body 3 set premix, then C&W abs! WOW! Good one.

Hi everyone -

Yes, spring is here. We got some big storms too, just to the north of us. Thank goodness they didn't hit our place - tornadoes, baseball-sized hail, etc. The humidity, however, has hit us! Yick. I was positively drenched after my workout and drained, as well. Oh well. I'll get used to it eventually.

Today will most likely be Low Max. But strangely enough, I'm having a faint urge to do Charlene Prickett's We Love Step. It used to be my favorite workout... before Cathe! But even though it's fun, I know it won't be as intense as Cathe's and I'll regret it.
 
Daily Check-in

Good morning! This is shaping up to be a fun workout week. After doing Step, Jump, & Pump yesterday morning, I did Rhythmic Step this morning for the first time this year. Fun, fun, fun! I would love to have a Rhythmic Step 2. This one has all the mambos, pivots, twirls, and spins I love. I feel so good right now! :7

I had fun with my friends last night and was so excited to fit into a favorite pair of pants again. My butt is a whole size smaller after just 2 weeks of my cardio and circuit training rotation. :7 My scale weight does not drop quickly with Cathe’s workouts, but my size does! Aside from being smaller, I look beautiful now! My skin is radiant and glowing. My eyes are sparkling. My hair looks healthier. My dark circles have faded. Not to mention, I am bursting with energy, and my emotions are more stable. I am not crying all the time for no apparent reason. My friends seemed relieved when I told them about my new rotation. I think they have been praying for me to tone it down a bit. It appears that I was overtraining. I am loving this new approach. Balance and moderation. I never dreamed that those words would ever apply to me. I am so thankful that Cathe advised me to back off from the super advanced rotations until I get closer to my goal weight.

Cathe responded to someone yesterday and told her that the new workouts (when they are filmed) will have some functional fitness exercises. I am looking forward to seeing Cathe’s approach to this as I am enjoying the new style of training but have no desire to abandon the tried and true traditional work.

I did GS Back, Coremax#3, and 45 min. on the bike (while watching Desperate Housewives)

Time for a smoothie and then it's Cleanmax!!

Dutchie, DOMS is a good thing but I'm sorry that you didn't like the class.:-(

Jane and Becky, ooohhh T-storms...hate 'em w/a passion. I know lots of folks think they are cool but they scare the pants off of me!:eek:

In my current rotation I am alternating a week of the SS series/cardio and a week of the April 05 strength rotation so today starts strength since last week was SS...Today calls for GS Chest and Back. The rotation actually calls for S&H but I don't have that.

No cardio in the plan but after yesterday I feel like I might need some...a short one @ home...we'll see what happens... ;)
 
Good Monday Morning All!

This weekend was a very relaxed family time type of weekend.

I've decided to follow Cathe's April '06 rotation so today I've got S&H Legs w/ segment 2 of Coremax of course since it's been quite some time I'll be lowering my weights.

I was looking at my logs from the last time I did the S&H series and it was 2 yrs ago :eek: plus I was lifting 60# on squats of course I'm not even going to try that weight but I loaded up my bar for just 30# and I'll gauge it after my workout to see if I can go heavy or just stay low... we'll see ;-) plus I may end up taking a walk if the rain stays away.

Late morning straggler here, lots going on at work this morning, so it is taking me longer to post.

Step, Pump and Jump today, after doing All Step and stretchmax yesterday.

I really didn't like the April rotation, so I am doing one of Cathe's older fat burning ones.

Carole- I admire your dedication to run in the rain. How did your long run go yesterday?
My 5.5 run was on the treadmill today. I'm not brave enough to run in rain yet!

Becky- I'm having the post workout smoothie now and will getup to start the Monday Clean Max shortly too!
