I am planning on Leaner Legs and the U/B only portion of Ripped this morning. I might do a rebounder work out for some fun, light cardio as well and then I have my running class tonight.

Susan, did you love Pirates? I think Johnny Depp is soooo cool! Of course my girls love Orlando, but he seems like just a kid to me.


I didn't wo this AM as I had a headache, but I hope to do an extended Lomax this afternoon.

My family is excited b/c we are adopting a dog this week. He's part Golden and part Chow(we think). He's was dropped off at a shelter so we're not sure of his age, but we think around 5. We's a sweetie pie, fully housebroken and doesn't get on the furniture!

Thanks everyone who wished me a happy anniversary! We had a really nice day. Went to Mitchell's Fish Market and ate outside and just enjoyed the day.

Wendy, one question about the Ripped workouts. I have read that the high reps cause a lot of forearm burning. Is that the case for you? Do you have both Core and Slim and Lean and like them both??
How's the music?

Today's cardio is mowing the grass..... for weights I am doing GS BSB.

Hello everyone!

Becky, congrats on your anniversary yesterday. 24 years...wow! My 2 year is coming up 2 weeks from today.

I did High Step Challenge today. Tonight DH and I will go up and use the elliptical machines at our apartment complex gym...probably only 20-25 minutes (building up the cardio endurance of DH after an ankle injury).

Oh, and for breakfast today I tried a new Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal- honey,almonds, and flax...so yummy. I had never seen it before yesterday. Maybe it is just new to our grocery store, but be on the lookout for it! :)

Daily Check-in

Good morning! I had a blessed retreat this weekend. I rededicated my body to the Lord Saturday and feel refreshed and recharged spiritually. My focus has been renewed, and I am making some vital changes in my approach to this fitness journey. I was focusing too much on my physical body and coasting spiritually. Taking care of my body is a good thing, but I allowed myself to get out of balance. I settled for what is good and neglected the greater good. My weight loss goal was starting to consume my thoughts. I was devoting so much time to planning and preparing meals and snacks and planning rotations and working out that I allowed myself to get out of balance. Packing up the scale and starting over on the 4th of July was the first step. It is time for the next step.

I am sharing more about the spiritual side of my journey in other places. As far as this check-in, I am still keeping my commitment to do 5 Cathe workouts a week. I am just putting first things first and focusing on the spiritual first then the physical. Spiritual food before physical food. Spiritual exercise before physical exercise. My big challenge in the physical area is getting more sleep. I am determined to get to bed at a decent hour. My bedtime goal for this week is 11:00 p.m. I made it Saturday night and last night. My ultimate bedtime goal is 10:00 p.m. or earlier. I am making progress.

I did Step, Jump, & Pump Saturday night after returning home from the retreat. My workouts last week were:

Low Impact Step/Total Body Sculpting (cardio and weight circuit premix)
Kick, Punch, & Crunch
High Step Training
Step Works
Step, Jump, & Pump

I enjoyed a restful day yesterday, blessed my body with restful sleep last night, woke up early this morning, feasted on my Bible study, and did Kick, Punch, & Crunch.

Today will be S&H tri's/bi's while leaving the lowerbody alone completely for this week. I may put in some abs that don't require alot of lowering the legs.

Wendy-Your have great workouts and they sound like fun!

Tammy-I haven't done RS in forever, I hope to maybe pull it out sometime!

Phyllis-I hope you had a good trip and welcome back! There is nothing low about lowmax huh? Hope your headache goes away soon! Had one last night myself.

Becky-It is great that you had a good time on your anniversary! Enjoy GS today!

Beckymd-I have tried the Kashi Go lean Crunchy clusters and I love it! I haven't tried any of the other ones.

Conni-I have seen her tapes on the collage book and have often wondered how good her workouts were. They sounded like fun!

Elaine-PUB is a fun upperbody workout. That one I could do all the time!

Well I'm off to drink my MRP drink and get on my workout!

Morning all -
Today was S&H Legs only, follwed by a 20 min power walk and the Balanced Coremax premix. I felt so energized.

DD is volunteering at summer camp again this week. She loved it so much last week that she asked if she could do it again. Well sure!! Anything to keep her off the coach and away from the TV.

Phyllis - I hope your headache is better. Have fun with the new dog. We've adopted both our dogs from the shelter, both were mutts and both were/are great (one's gone, one's still with us).

Hey Becky.

Yeah, the high reps can cause the forearms to burn. I also feel it in my elbows during the tricep work and in my wrisits during the chest work. It's nothing I can't deal with though.

I currently have Ripped and Ripped to the Core and like them both. Slim and Lean is on its way and once I get it and give it a try I'll let you know what I think!}(

The music is fine but for a weight work out I don't really care about the music. I don't pay much attention to it so you might want to ask someone else who considers the music more important. :)

RE: Daily Check-in

Morning ladies. Horrible weekend for eating and for working out.x( Today I'm back on track though. This morning was PUB followed by a 30 minute run outside. It was 88 degrees and HUMID at 5:30 this morning, so it was a bit brutal. But I made it through. Feel very bloated today after all the crap I ate this weekend.

Hi all,

This past Friday and Saturday were spent gutting the last room we have to gut in our whole house renovation (while living in the chaos). Today I did CTX 10-10-10 doing the step work with no step since I have no room to step where I am currently working out. The tricep work about killed me and I am sure I will be feeling it tomorrow or even later today,LOL!!

I started a new rotation today. I did worked all muscle groups with weights, and abs. I did Plyo moves for one minute between sets. It was about an hour, and I was dripping sweat.

Hi ladies, today was supposed to be MIC got almost through the floor cardio section and then hubby came home with a friend who is going to do the siding on our house. Needless to say I had to stop. If he fixes the dvd player in my stepdaughters room then I would have somewhere else to go beside the living room and I could close the door and be left alone. But I guess some is better than none.

Hello everybody.....

Today I powerwalked for an hour. After the 95+ temps last week and rain over the weekend, it was so nice to get outside. 82 degrees this evening and it is humid but not too bad.

Great workouts going on today!
