Daily Check in Mon July 7

Good Monday Morning Phyllis & All who Follow.

Phyllis sorry you had a hard time sleeping. I hope you find some relief.

As for me I didn't have such a great weekend - my mood was so foul (I was depressed and very irritable) plus I had severe cramps and a horrible back pain and Aunt Flo is not even due until two weeks from now- grrr what is that all about?! So I'm blaming these stupid hormones that are making me feel like some type of Sybil. sheesh

I'm starting this week trying to get in a better mood than what I ended the past week with. It bothers me as this is so unlike me.

So I'm up & have a Cardio Coach mish mosh that I'll be doing shortly . I just need to finish off my coffee.

Here's hoping All are well

Hi everyone,

I hope you both feel better! Not a good start to the week, is it??

Question for CC people -

Are you supposed to follow the beat of the music? Can you powerwalk to these or do you have to run?

I have great walking shoes but no running shoes. Any type or brand that you can recommend????

I did cardio today - Amy's Hi Lo Knockout. I wish her premixes were listed correctly, they are all wrong. I did premix one, which is really combos 1,2,4, added on combo 3 and the knockout, then did the core and stretch. Still over an hour, and very intense!

Thanks Phyllis & Conni

I just finished my CC mish mosh and I feel better :)

I know that when I do cardio it helps my mood overall but just getting to that point was a struggle for me I just need to keep moving. I saw this quote over at VF last night 'Don't wait until you feel like doing it - just do it.' and printed it up so when I need that push I get it . That little quote helped me get on my TM and just do it lol . So glad it worked.

I still have Butts & Guts to do but at the moment I'm having a protein shake with raw oatmeal and frozen berries.

As far as me looking forward to anything hmmmm my youngest has her 1oth birthday this Thursday so I need to order her cake,http://www.pic4ever.com/images/Laie_7.gif other than that nothing much lol

Conni:

Yes you can powerwalk with CC you don't have to run. I have heard folks using rebounders to these too, they are very versatile as that you can use any type of cardio with them, its not necessarily geared for runners in any way.

CC are for any type of cardio equipment including just your legs ;)

As far as running shoes I am using Nike Air Pegasus 2008 :) For me they are cushy enough and feel good on my feet.

Many of the runners in Cheetehville thread recommend going to get your feet assessed at a specialty running store to see what shoes work but I don't have anyplace close by for that - the closet place is nearly 2 hours away so these work for me.

Vilma,

Thanks for the reply. Do you use a HRM? If so, what kind do you recommend?

I really enjoyed my workout with CC, I am hooked!

Hi gals,

I did chest work today... warm up and some chest work off of MIS, one exercise off of BM (dumbell press), then did incline chest press on S & H and then I did the 8 min. taebo for a little cardio.

The MIS and Body Max work was different for chest work at least the repetition was a change. Trying to keep it fresh.

Have a great day!!:7

I love my CC's and iTreads lol

I just recently got a HRM just this May so I can see my levels and calories burned.

Granted I did feel that when I was going by my HR levels I wasn't going as fast as I was used too so I still go by perceived exertion and see where I'm at with my HR.

The HRM I got was the Polar F11 I got it mainly for the soft material strap. It's very comfortable and has lots of features.

I love the fact that my HRM can 'talk' with the website and I'm able to log in and see my progress.

This is the exact one I have and from where I purchased from I had a coupon code at the time so I only paid 129. for it http://www.heartratemonitorsusa.com/F11W-pink-fizz.html

HTH

ETA: I use my HRM when I'm doing cardio & also weights plus when I go out for a walk/run with the hubby in the neighborhood as I like to keep track of my calories burned.

Thanks Vilma,

I am debating between running shoes and the rebounder. I like to be outside in the summer, but I don't have a treadmill, so I would need another piece of equipment in the winter. Maybe I will get the shoes for now, and see how that works in a walk, run combo, and then get the rebounder when the bad weather kicks in....hmmm

Thanks for your help!!!
