Cathlete
Good Morning. I hope you're all enjoying your weekend. Bright and sunny here in PA and loving it, but it's still COLD!

I was up early this morning, but it took some self-negotiating to get out of bed! LOL. Hit the treadmill for a run and logged 8 miles before the boys came down to join me.

I'm starting the March rotation tomorrow! Excited about that!

Gayle

Morning Gayle and all who follow. Today was BC for me and the end of my rotation. Time to find a new one to start tomorrow. I lost 5 pounds and 2% body fat on this rotation, so I'm extremely happy.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Katie

Good morning.

Nice run, Gayle.

Great results, Katie! ^5!

I am going to a gym today with my SIL...who knows what I'll do...treadmill, a class, weight machines...maybe I'll just run around and do it all!:p

Catch you ladies later!:)

Good morning ladies

Gayle...it is pouring here!! Going to be a wet run for me today! I bet you will have fun doing the March rotation.

Congrats on the great results Katie!!

Hope you have fun at the Gym Wendy.

I'll be heading out for a run soon. Hope to get in about 14 miles.

Have a good day...:)...Carole

Morning all!

Gayle - do you find treadmill running boring? What do you do to occupy your time?

Katie - what rotation were you doing?

Wendy - have fun at the gym!

Carole - 14 miles in the pouring rain? I hope it's a WARM rain;)

I got up and did L&G this morning - first time ever doing this workout in its entirety and I'm feeling it. I don't have ankle weights so I didn't even use them and could STILL feel those exercises! Later on I'll fit in a 3 mile run and core work.

Have a great Sunday!

Hi, ladies! Great job staying active on a Sunday!

Shelley-My treadmill ismy saving grace. Since it's just me and my boys, I basically can't get outside to run. I usually watch TV...the news, a movie, etc. But, that started to get old and tough on the longer runs (I'd get into a zone and feel like I was actually IN the movie, lol), so I recently started using my mp3 player with music. I told the kids that if they call down the basement steps and I don't answer, they should flick the lights for me! Yesterday, I downloaded an audiobook and listened to that today. I was really surprised I was able to concentrate on it; I was really into the book! LOL. I'm really looking forward to my next run so I can continue with this book!

Gayle

Good afternoon everyone!

Great run Gayle, I never thought of listening to an audiobook while on the treadmill. I may have to give it a try. I'm starting to get bored with my current exercise playlist. (The first song is Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas," so you can see I haven't updated it in a few months :)) If you don't mind my asking, how long does it take to run 8 miles? I can't imagine ever being able to do that as 3 miles is a big accomplishment for me and it takes me 40 minutes. :p

Carole, hope it dries a little for your run. Have a great one anyway!

Shelley, wtg on finishing Legs and Glutes! I thought I was the only one who couldn't do it. :) I haven't tried it in a few months, but I've never made it past 20 minutes.

Great results Katie!

Wendy, have fun at the gym.

Today was PUB for me, another first, and I'm supposed to do a 20 min ss run. I only did 12 minutes of the run (super slow jog actually) as this stupid chest cold made breathing nearly impossible. I took some cold medicine, so hopefully I'll be able to do the cardio later this evening.

Sandra, I really like PUB. I am really feeling my arms and shoulders now! Also, I like the ab work. I still had to modify, but mostly just the plank work. How about you?

Have a great day everyone,
Pamela

Hello everyone....

Yesterday I just did SM #1. Today I am going to run with my new running shoes I bought.

Having some problems with my left shoulder. I did it Thursday night I believe doing Circuit Max. I was tired and I'm not sure if my form was off or those reps on the compound exercises with 8# DBS were too fast for me.

Anyway, I felt some twinges in my left shoulder Friday but nothing bad. By Friday afternoon and night, it was raging with pain and I couldn't move it. Can't raise it away from my body laterally. It hurts worse when I lay down so I didn't sleep at all Friday night and kept DH up all night too with my moaning and groaning. He wanted to take me to the ER. Still stiff and sore yesterday and I slept last night but it woke me up about every hour to two hours throbbing.

SM helped some I think but I couldn't lift it very far. Hopefully I can run today and just hold my upper arm against my body to immobilize my shoulder. Not sure how that's going to work.

I either have a bad case of rotator cuff tendinitis or I've torn my rotator cuff. I'm calling for a dr. appt when they open in the morning.

Anybody ever have anything like this?

Good Afternoon Fit Chicks!

Today I did CC#4 on the treadmill and Ana Caban Pilates for Abs.

Gayle: Nice treadmill run this morning!

Katie: Congratulations on the lost poundage and reduced body fat...way to go!

Wendy: Have fun at the gym...let us know how it goes.

Carole: Enjoy your long run, albeit in the rain. Be careful!

Shelley: L&G is one of my favorites. Have a good run today!

Pamela: PUB is an awesome workout...great job.

Jane: I hope your shoulder feels better soon. I just bought new running shoes too!

Hello to all that follow...enjoy your Sunday!

quick post cause Norton is refusing to be enabled. Can you tell I have been trying to set up my network again? I'm starting to think I've got a virus, since I can't install anything.

Did an 18K run (minus 60 meters) on the tread mill. Was watching Red Rose (some two part tv film) and listening to Groundpounder (a 2 hour long mix by DJSteve with a 180bpm). When I listened to Groundpounder on my computer I didn't like it very much, but while running, I loved it. Wasn't bored for one sec.

Got a little into trouble at 12.5-15K, legs were tired, but after 15K I think I had my second wind cause I was flying all the way to 18K (well almost). Anyways, finished my run in 1:58:24 way faster then last Sunday when I ran 17K in over two hours!

Better shutdown the computer now.

Shelley - I did Cathe's January 2004 New Year's Resolution rotation with a little tweaking. I had to substitute some of the workouts I didn't have and I did some extra cardio work on days that she had a weight only workout. This is the second time I've done this rotation and I always seem to get really good results. I was also REALLY strict with my diet for the last two weeks, so I'm sure that made a big difference.

Katie

Pamela-I am averaging a 9 minute mile these days. That has just recently increased. I was pacing myself at 10 minutes per mile, but after my marathon and recovery, that started to feel too sluggish to me, so I increased my normal training pace. I now warm up at a 10-minute mile, then pretty much maintain 9:00 pace.

I've become addicted to running. And the idea of the audiobook just popped into my head the other day while we were at the library and I found out they now offer us free downloads for the next year! SO...there ya go. I honestly didn't think I'd be able to concentrate on the book AND run at the same time, but it worked today! YIPPEE!

Happy Sunday everybody!

Gayle

p.s. I'm so glad to see so many people active on these boards ont he weekends. I post at the WW site as well, but it always slow on the weekends!

I finished my run, 5 miles! My new running shoes are awesome!! My DIL let me borrow her Turbo Jam workouts, so I TJ Ab Jam, great ab w/o. I had to modify on my left side due to my shoulder but still got a good w/o.

Hi everyone - better late than never I suppose. Today I did Step Blast, GS Legs and Core Max 1, plus a half-@$$ed stretch. I need to do a more thorough one, maybe tonight.

I also cleaned out a couple of flower beds (yesterday and today), since things are starting to spout down here. Got to get those leaves out, so the light can reach all the tiny green things!

See you all tomorrow!

Hi!

This morning I did PUB and, instead of a 20 min run, I did MIC hi/lo. My glutes, hamstrings & calves are full of DOMS from PLB yesterday, and I have a feeling that my upper body will be having some of that tomorrow!

Katie - terrific job on the weight and fat loss!!! You must be doing some very clean eating, on top of all your hard work.

Pamela - PUB is my favourite upper body workout. I love the pump in my arms when I'm done. I think the ab work is some of her best, but yes, I have to take a quick rest break between the bent knee roll-ins, and the start of the pikes. My arms are so tired from the workout that they can't support me that long for all the planks and pikes. Kudos to you for doing even 12 minutes on the treadmill with that nasty chest cold! I really hope you can get through KickMax tomorrow. The combos probably won't be that bad, but the blasts are really intense.

Jane - Oooooh dear, that sounds like a nasty injury! :-( Let us know what the doctor says!

Great workouts everyone! See you tomorrow!
Sandra
