Good morning!

IMAX2 was on the books for this morning, but I shelved it and did StepMax followed by CW core, instead. The reason for this.........last night I found out I am pregnant!! :) :) :)

Cathe's guidelines for pregnancy workouts are to be able to do the 2-5 word talk test; I know that in some of those intervals I don't have the breath to swear at her, so I figured IMAX2 was too much. In the first trimester one of the most dramatic changes is an increased resting heart rate, which makes everything you do feel like you're working at a harder level than it used to. I've been noticing that in all my workouts this past week; I feel like I've got 75% of the conditioning I used to have. And my lower back is very tired. So, I'm going to be turning to Cathe's steady-state cardios for the most part, and taking everything down a notch. I did StepMax on the 8" step this morning, to make it a good intensity, and I got a great workout. It's a slower paced workout than her more recent ones, and there are much fewer high intensity moves, so I was able to stay within my comfort zone, and still break a sweat and get a good workout. My fitness goal over the next nine months will be to simply stay active as much as possible, without striving to reach new fitness levels. Since interval workouts are designed to increase your cardio capacity by pushing you out of your aerobic comfort zone, I will be putting them on the back burner. I might do a modified IMAX2, skipping the hardest intervals, and IMAX moves can so easily be modified to take things down a notch. And I'm really hoping LOMAX is pregnancy-appropriate!!!

These are very early days yet; I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that this one "sticks", unlike the last one. The due date is Sept 18.

Sandy, are you past the worst of the cramping, etc? Are you feeling better for your workouts?

Hey Mama! hope you got my emails! you were the very first thing i thought about this morning when i woke up! :7 i'm glad you answered all my questions up there! i was going to ask you what mods you were going to have to do immidately. after your message last night i went to the prego-section and read all about "the rules"

yes, L&G is on the books today. i have that visitation at 4 :-( and i didn't sleep much last night, so i might go back to bed and do it this evening. abs are not happy!!! i answered you kpc post.....

Good Morning Ladies,

Sandra~I know I congratulated you in the PG forum but CONGRATULATIONS again!!! :D

In the past couple of days I have gone off the rotation I had made for myself this month so I have no clue what I'm gonna do today!x( I should probably just do what's "on the schedule" for the day so that I can get back on track, huh? Who knows what will happen by the time I actually start to work out but if I stay with my schedule today will be 30 mins of Power Max and 30 mins on the Gazelle.

Sandra....CONGRATS!!!!! That is so cool....I am so happy for you...:)...and I agree about putting the intense workouts on the back burner, but as I know from your posts you are a very smart lady! I know my sister continued running thru both her pregnancies as long as she thought it was safe. Of course, that was 26 years ago!!

Today I'll do Eion Finn's yoga and maybe some Chest,back and ab work. Hoping for more snow...:7 Enjoy the workouts ladies...:)...Carole

Sandra, what AMAZING news! :7 :7 :7 I'm so excited for you!! I like your plan of action re: Cathe workouts, too -- and am delighted to see that you're already ratcheting it back a notch (knowing as I do that you ARE the cardio queen! ;-)) Take care of yourself and please share all the details with us!!!

Today should be IMAX II but as I said yesterday, my legs are toasted and to do IMAX II would be asking for trouble. So I'm doing a long interval program (50 minutes) on my elliptical trainer, some abs, and perhaps CTX UB Split if I have time left over in the afternoon. Our son the high school senior is having a big party here tonight so I've got lots to do getting the snack stuff together and tidying up the house... uh, in order that they might TOTALLY mess it up again! :) Just kidding -- last time Alex had a wing-ding the kids left our place spotless. We were impressed and frankly flabbergasted!

Good morning everyone,

This morning I was going to do IMAX 2 but decided on IMAX Extreme. Later I plan on doing SH biceps. I have decided, thanks to Sandra, to add on a body part a day from SH to increase my strength and get better definition. I decided to really push myself so last night I did SH triceps-they are fried this morning. So I skipped that compound exercise.

Sandra-Congrats(again)! Great workout this morning, especially for a pregnant woman:) Oh, and thanks for encouraging me to fry my triceps!;)

Wendymin- I agree with Lisa-get back on your rotation.

Carole-you're hoping for snow, and I'm hoping ours will melt. It's so cold today and I hate it when the snow gets crunchy. Walking on it is like fingernails on a chalkboardx(

Kathy- have a great party tonight. Do you get to stay or are adults not invited?

There's also football on today which I would like to watch too. I LOVE NFL wildcard weekend!

Still doing well with the eating (except for the pizza I devoured last night).

Wendy....cool...another football lover!! I can't wait for the games today!! I am kinda pulling for SD in the 5PM game....not really sure who will win with Seattle and St Louis! And we just got this new Tivo DVR so I won't miss a second...:+ :D :)

No more snow but it is real windy and still quite cold....:)...Carole
 
Congrats, Sandra! Plus your news was really special to hear because my son (now 2) was born on September 18th! So I know exactly where you'll be in your pregnancy during all 9 months. I think I remember reading one time that you had a 4 year old daughter, and I do as well; also a September baby.

I did MIC for the first time today. I thought it was going to be super tough, and of course it was challenging, but I certainly wasn't dying. I do have to say, for the first time ever I watched a Cathe workout thinking to myself "what is with those outfits?" I mean blue polo-type shirts that are fitted at the bottom? Plus, all the ladies other than Cathe REALLY needed some extra support sports bras! The whole workout those goofy blue shirts distracted me, and that stuff usually doesn't bother me.

Tomorrow is MIS for the first time. Wonder what the outfits will be like in that? }(

Hi all,

First of all...Sandra I know I mentioned this earlier but just have to say it again......Congratulations:7 :7!!!!

Thanks for asking my cramps have finally gone away, only to become violently ill last night for no apparent reasonx( :-( I was up almost all night and had chills like I haven't experienced in a very long time so unfortunately today no Cathe at allx(

Awesome workouts everyone! Keep up the fabulous work! Please cross your fingers for me that I will be well enough to do some kind of Cathe workout!!

i just completed RS (for the 1st time) and L/G (also the first)
i am SO tired and walking a little funny to tell you the truth! during that floor work with inner thigh and ankle weights i am cussin her and she LAUGHED in my face! i was "floored" (pun intended!!) i can promise you this one will not ever be done more than once/ week IF that ! Maybe next time i should not do it the day after KPC. i should either do it after a day off, or UB split. YOWZA!
RS was fun and challenging and i know i will use that one alot!

Hello everyone,

Well I'm probably going to be the last one today. So busy with DH's family coming over. They didn't leave until 4pm. But right after they left I got in SH Shoulders, 15 min Abs, and Cardio from All Step.

Congratulations Sandra! I just love babies. And yes I am a Christmas decoration hound.}( Actually I think I should say my DH is. He is the one who makes the house look so beautiful. Every room has something in it.:)

Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow. Hopefully I will be able to get on the forum. Big homework project needs to be fine tuned for youngest DD. And football is on. Go Packers!

Sandra! My biggest CONGRATULATIONS! Please do take care of yourself, but since your normally a really active gal, don't give yourself the thumbs up to lay back. LOL! Really it's great!

I wish I could post here with ya'll but all of you seem to post really early. I don't get to workout until 7:30 or 8:00PM. Too bad. I really like all of your vibes.
