Good Morning Tammy and Fit Women,

Yesterday was Boot Camp cardio (did with son) and Legs and Glutes. So many interruptions that I wanted to scream, but made it thru.

Today will be triceps, KPC and Core Max 1.

We have been finially get some much needed rain here so eventually I will be mowing again. Haven't mowed in 3 weeks and lost 3 small pine trees due to the dryness.

Happy Canada Day from me too.... Also Happy 4th everyone... I leave today for a mini-vacation and will be back on Sunday.

Yesterday was suppose to be a light cardio day but for some reason, I was feeling worse than usual, not sure if it was from caffeine withdrawal or from not sleeping well Tuesday and Wednesday nights. In any event, I wound up doing nothing. I will just have two rest days this week instead of one which can't be bad.

I am taking KickMax with me so I'll get that in today when we arrive. I am going to take a lot of Cathe DVD's with me as I'll have some time on my hands. I am going to have a chance to look at the ones I haven't had a chance to yet. I may find some leg floor work on some of them I can do.

I did MIS Wednesday and I still have DOMS in my biceps. I did use the barbell for the first time on curls and used 20 lbs., I am use to 8 lbs. dumbbells, so this is definitely the reason. It did bother my wrists some but I was have a "good day" Wednesday so on my "bad days", I'll probably have to go back to dumbbells.

Tammy - enjoy your run. I have yet to look at BC but that is on my list to do this weekend.

Today is errand day! Go pick up DH's check, go to back, & blah, blah, blah! We are going to get fireworks and get ready for the 4th! HOOTIE-HOO!!:D

Today will be Imax 3. Maybe I can convince my SO to go inline skating with me.

Charlotte...wow...BC abd L&G! great job. I'll take some of your rain, it'll be a hot one here.

Jane..sorry you are feeling bad...rest would be good then. Maybe go down a bit in weight with the bicep curls and the barbell next time. It really shouldn't hurt your wrists. It could just take some getting used too.

Carla...sounds like a good 4th coming up for you..

Shelley...you are getting alot of work out of that Terminator DVD.

I am doing my freestyle legs work, abs and a 3 mile run. Foot seem better today..thanks to all of you that asked...:)...Carole
 
Good morning everyone! It's going to be a loooooong day in the office.

This morning I did All Step (just the step part) plus Coremax #2. It was a light day today. I have full-body DOMS and it hurts to just sit down in my chair. It feels great in that sadistic, psychotic way! ;)

i have inner thigh DOMS from L/G yesterday! not too bad though. Today is HC C/T and cardio from something......i don't know! lately everytime i say a certain cardio, i change my mind as soon as i go anywhere near the dvd player:p

i didn't do too bad for my first week back at it:

tues: step from c/w
wed: w/u HSC, BC upper body, imax 1-6
thurs: step of LM, L/G, coremax#3

i have to take pj to the vet today and run errands, so i will work out later after i mow most likely

Hi good morning, today is stretch P90X and stationary bike. I need rest after the first week doing the P90X.I have gone to my bank and they did not know the bank practise Beachbody talks about but when I came back home I have seen I have the money of the first charge come back my account. Thank you very much for all your support.Happy, happy weekend.

Today is legs and glutes. Then I am going to try KPC again. I have only done it once and remember not really loving it. I will give it another chance as you all seem to like it so much.

ETA Tammy I did bootcamp core work last night. I am not fond of bootcamp as a whole because I feel I miss cardo. Anyone else feel tha way?

This morning I did Step Heat. It's weird to see Cathe wearing a bikini top.

Jes - Yes, she still hollers down my throat at the baby, on occasion. She is also always wanting to lift up my dress in public to show people my tummy! Yes, definitely keep us posted about Jay's progress. How are you doing on the no-smoking campaign? Still abstaining? LowMax AND LG in the same session?? Phenomenal! Can you walk today?

Katie - I tried flipping my cardio and weight workouts for a while, and just didn't like how tired it made me for cardio, so I switched back again. I guess it depends on where you want your priority to be, huh? Doing PLB before any cardio would fry me, especially that bloomin' ball work!! Good for you! I did the same thing with my BC/ME and Pyramids dvds! I had them for quite a while before noticing the "Bonus Premix" menus. I never done the Pyramid bonus combo, although I previewed it and took notes. I did the BC/ME premix once and thought it was alright, but prefer the Gauntlet when I want to combine those workouts. The Pyramids combo is the Up-Only portion of all of the upper body work and lower body standing work. No stability ball work is included, from either workout.

Wendy - excellent work on doing KPC!! It took a few times for that workout to grow on me, but I really enjoy it now.

Connie - very interesting new routine! What is Qigong, and what exactly is "summer" yoga? How'd the walking lunges go? I've never tried those; I'll bet they're effective!

Shelley - look up Catheworms; I think you'll find more relevant information there. I love how a solid workout stimulates the appetite. Makes me love eating even more than I already do :)

Morning Everyone,

Happy Canada Day!

Today is very busy here at work, we are getting ready for our annual shutdown starting tomorrow. I have so many departments complaining about us shutting down their power that I'm ready to have my boss hit the switch right now. }( Anyhoo I will be doing HSC today. DH and I are going to finally see Star Wars after work. I probably won't get HSC in until 9pm.

Morning ladies. Well I slept like crap last night. I woke up about every hour until around 3:00 and then woke up about every half hour. So, I was hurting during my workout this morning from lack of sleep. I did IMAX 3, intervals 1-5 and then the KPC portion of my Timesaver DVD. All in all, a decent workout.

I'm not feeling too great today. For some reason I'm really nauseous. I don't know if it's because I've been eating super clean this week and my body is in shock, if it's because it's TTOM or if it's because I'm getting a stomach bug. At least I still got my workout in though.

Ok, I did Slow and Heavy Chest and during the back's first exercise I was really hurting in the lower back so I switched and did the pull overs for back off of PUB, then did Abs off of PSSL&A and abs only off of PSBB&A, my lower back is giving me a fit after spending a day with my abs hurting. So my dh thinks that my back is only hurting because I was compensating for my abs hurting soo much:eek: .

All I know is ab work today wasn't too painful and I will have to give my poor back a rest for the weekend and see how it is next week.:D

Hi Sandra,

I enjoy Step Heat, and always chuckle when Cathe says "looks hot". ;) It's a fun workout.

Qigong is a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It's made up of simple and flowing movements to stimulate and balance your qi, which is your vital energy. Gong is translated to practice of cultivation. This short practice is designed to "increase energy flow, improve flexibility, promote balance, improve circulation, reduce stress and balance yin & yang" (quoted from body + soul magazine). I've done it 4 times so far, and I can see at least a little improvement in each of those. And it helps me center myself and set my intention for the day.

Summer yoga is a group of poses that body + soul put together to "counter the fiery energy of the hot summer". The sequence is bow, thunderbolt, spinal twist, leg lift, downward dog, corpse. This sequence is supposed to energize without overheating. I've only done it once so far, and I like it but it didn't feel very "cooling" to me. Oh well, I'll keep at it and see what happens. If nothing else, it's a great morning stretch. :p

The walking lunges went pretty good. I was able to 75 after PLB. I was hoping to do 100, but considering that I upped my weight a bit in a few of the PLB exercises I'm happy with that starting point. Thank you for asking! Sometimes I feel a little lost in the crowd here.... :)

If you're interested in the Qigong or Summer Moves, I'll be glad to email you a copy. I've got them scanned in my hard drive.

Happy Canada Day! And Happy 4th of July weekend! Hope everyone enjoys their long weekends! :)

Yesterday I did PLB + walking lunges, and a segment of Core Max (my first time and I really liked it!), and 15 minutes of StretchMax. I was able to up my weight in a few of the PLB exercises, that felt awesome! And no DOMS this morning! Whoohooo! Does that mean I can go even heavier?? }( :p My first attempt at walking lunges turned out a total of 75. Not too bad for a starting point. My left leg gave out before my right...interesting. I'm going to increase by 10 reps each time I do these, that's my goal anyway.

Today I'm going to be brave and give IMAX2 a whirl. It's the FitTV version, so it's not TOO bad. :p If I don't feel like I've gone through enough interval cycles I'll pop in Intense Moves. }(

Happy 4th of July to all my American friends.

It is rest for me today, I did HSC and the Viper the next day, my body was in much need of a day off.

I took the day off from work too, Yeah!
 
Checking in from my hotel lobby....

I did KickMax today in the hotel room. I also did 110 walking lunges before I started KickMax, so I'm up 10 on the walking lunges...

By the time I hit the leg drills at the end of KickMax, my legs were screaming. I can see more definition in my legs, especially inner thighs.

Tomorrow I am going to swim a little. They have a little fitness center here that has a treadmill, elliptical trainer, and two recumbent bicycles. I may go for a walk on the treadmill, I have a feeling I'm going to be sore tomorrow in upper and lower body from KickMax.
