Good Morning

Today is my first official kb workout day. My dvd didn't arrive yet :( :( So I am going to do the workout I found on the internet/you tube: the kb meltdown 300 workout. I hope I can get thru it. I will check back after my workout to let you all know!

Vilma~ How was Twilight?

have a great Friday everyone!!!

Good Morning Glories!

Today will be LIC after work.

Deanie ~ Good Luck with your workout! My Empire State DVD hasn't come either...and I'm in the Empire State!

Vilma ~ WELL????? How was the movie?

Have a nice day...***TGIF***

IT"S FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!:D:D:D

And my DH is off work !!!:D:D

I think it might be a good day to get some Christmas shopping done.

If we're very determined maybe we'll bundle up and go for a walk, if not I plan to get on the TM .
Dh WAS doing a great job of walking nearly every day. He recently had to go on b/p medicine and knows he needs to lose quite a bit of weight.
He was losing and exercising daily ..............and then the COLD came !:(
Now his walks are very sporadic and I am struggling to motivate but not nag, and get him to restart the walks.
He knows he is welcome to use my TM or bike, but thinks it is too boring.
I've TOLD him about CC & itread but can't get him to try it.
Any idea's for winter workouts or how to motivate ??

Anyway.....Have a great Friday!:D

'morning! I needed to rest from upperbody and I can't do cardio yet,so no wO for me today. I hope to walk on Sat and Sun.

Deanie, I'm excited for you! Have fun with your KB. :D

Tammy, I am wondering how Twilight was also. Vilma - spill!! It got a good review in our paper(4 stars). I'm anxious to see it tonight but not looking forward to the madhouse of teenagers

Becky, that's a tough question. Let me think about and maybe I'll come up with an idea for your DH. Does he like swimming?

BTW, my DH is going to Phillies Phantasy camp(Clearwater FLA) in Jan. He also needs to get in shape, but he's pretty active anyway. I did remind him about Cathe's stretch DVD.

Hi gals

Well, my workout is done:D It was hard and I sweated alot. Its such a different kind of workout, its going to take me a while to wrap my head around it. I know I got a good workout, but it was only about 20 min. Then I did SM#1. A great stretch after KBs.

Tammy~ Bummer about your dvd. I hope you get it today!! Can't wait for your review! Have fun with LIC!

Phyllis~ Phillies Phantasy camp?!?! Fun! Enjoy the movie tonight.

Becky~ No ideas for motivating DH's that need to lose weight. I could use some myself-- my DH is overweight (not alot, but could loose 40ish pounds) I wish he would just control his eating at this point. sigh...oh well! I hope you get alot of shopping done today. I went a couple of weeks ago, DHs store had a great sale, and got my Channukah shopping done!

waves to Conni and Annette!!:)

TIGF!!

Hi everyone ( waving back at Deanie),

Vilma - We are being as patient as we can, but......??

Getting ready for major snow today, hopefully after I get home from work!

TGIF!!!

LOL Hi All!

I got home after 2 20 am so I slept in .

Let me cut and paste what I posted somewhere else :)

I was happy with what I saw in the movie but I'm a diehard fan of the book series and I know its not some folks cup of tea. It was fun entertainment.

I was not disappointed with the movie Twilight and my 18 yr old was the one who was not happy w/ the casting and was afraid the movie was not going to live up to her very extreme high standards of the book. At one point she was very anti Twilight movie.

She was won over :D If she was, then I know it was good as she is very adamant about 'her' book and had been very skeptical and critical of when we found out last year they were casting the movie. The essence of the book is there.:)

I had to keep telling her to separate from her mind what happens in the book and to remember this is just a very, very condensed version of the book. The actors are just that actors trying to portray the characters the best way they could - once she got that through her head she was very pleased.

I'm going again to see the 2 pm showing with my youngest.:p Oldest dd will be dragging her bf who came back yesterday for a week to see it tonight

It was a very clean and decent movie... no cuss words and my goodness the kiss but it was just the one. It was not so bad; no tongue, no groping a nice first kiss and of course Edward always stops and pulls away from Bella before he loses control as in not kill her ;). I liked that they kept it chaste throughout the movie as the book is. So I am taking lil miss to see it as she sees us kissing and hugging all the time here so its no biggie.

The place was PACKED! Majority were females with a sprinkling of men.

Not many young folks but lots of women in my age bracket which made me feel very happy. So I know I'm not the only TwilightMom. Some of my 18 yr old's friends were there and thought we were sisters or cousins ;) so they were surprised when she said no I came with my mom lol

One thing though...someone brought a baby and the guy sitting next to me was peeved that it was crying

Ah well can't have it all but it was fun.
For those that know the book ... Edward and Bella's time of discovering each other is very slow, detailed and takes a few chapters ...in the movie it did feel a bit rushed, but its a movie and you really can't know all the struggle and thoughts and feelings. The actors I thought did well in trying to get the essence of the book.

But remember its a very condensed version of the book and it's its own entity. If that can be understood.

The movie was funny in some parts and Charlie - Bella's dad was great.

So I'm not sure if someone who has not read the book would understand Edward's protectiveness, his facial expressions esp when you know he talking mentally with Carlise or when he picks up other peoples thoughts. Pick up on the inner turmoil Edward has while he is close to Bella or their intense need to be together. That type of stuff are the small but very important little details within the book and in my understanding hard to put on screen.

The kids in the school were great; the ending was OH MAN! Leading into a sequel and man it was wonderful esp with the budget and Edward does sparkle in the sunlight granted it could have been done better but with their budget - it was good.

So thats my review, my opinion. I know not everyone will feel the same way or even like it but lol I enjoyed it and I had fun with it.

It won't replace the books and hopefully those who haven't read the book will want to read it now to fully understand and 'get Twilight' . Some will and some won't :p

Me I loved it and couldn't be any happier plus there is a brief cameo of Stephenie Meyer at the diner.

Hi all,

Nothing like a pouty child who wouldn't do his schoolwork to distract you from your workout. I ended up doing only about 27 min.of Hardcore Kickbox Circuit due to this distraction and now I have to go and do math with said child. My dh and older sons and younger dog went duck hunting. I am home alone with older dog, younger son and 2 cats.

Oh and it snowed here this morning, laid and everything even on the roads. It is gone on the roads now but it is still on the grass. Pretty amazing for November.

Have a great day!!:D
