Wow..I get to be first!!!

Good morning ladies

Tammy...was I rubbing it in???...:)....we have had so much rain that this warm spell really is nice

Wow Wendy....you rocked yesterday!!! Hope your legs aren't sore today...they might be tired

I am doing a 16 mile tral run with friends. Then hope to get some yard work done.

Hope you all have a great day...:)...Carole

Hi, Carole. Mind if I just jump in here and post? Hope not!

It's been snowing here since 5pm last night and we've gotten about 13 inches SO FAR! The boys are chomping at the bit to get outside! LOL

After a rest day yesterday, I got a 6+ mile run in this morning (on the treadmill). I tried something different. I wanted to do intervals today, but wanted a change. SO...I popped in IMax 2. I ran my usual 10 minute mile pace for the warm-up, step sections and cool downs, and pumped it up to an 8 minute mile for the interval blast sections. Added some at the end to make it over 6 miles and then Core Max 3. Good workout.

I'm finding that my 'normal' 10 minute mile pace is starting to feel too slow for me. I guess I'll have to now run 'normally' at a faster clip! YAY!

Thanks for letting me pop in!

Gayle

Don't mind you posting at all Gayle!...That is ALOT of snow...we don't get much here. Sounds like you did a great workout on the treadmill..:)

Glad to have you here...:)...Carole

Hi Fit Friends!

Carole have fun on the trail run. Those sound so interesting to me. I don't anyone around here does that...or has places to do it...? Is there a way I could find out?

Gayle....way to go !!! I also run about a 10 minute mile that is starting to feel a little "sluggish", so I'm very interested in what you did. I may have to give that a try!!!

Today is my rest day and I'm taking it! It's also snowing here, but we don't have anywhere near your accumulation Gayle (where are you?)....thankfully!
Still I'm glad it's a rest day, so I'm going to take it easy. It's my first rest day since I started the Feb. rotation, so I think I'm due!:p

I hope everyone enjoys their Sunday!!

Good Morning: Mercifully we had no snow here, it has definitely not been a typical Canadian winter this year. Not that I mind, I just don't want to pay for it in April and Mayx(

I'm all caffeined up and rarin' to go! I'll try Sandra's HSTA mishmosh this morning, I'll come back to let you know how it goes.

Carole, sounds like spring fever to me! Lucky you:) I swear that we are solar powered creatures, there's nothing like the feeling of the sun penetrating through and melting away the winter blahhhs.

Gayle, using IMAX for the treadmill is a wonderful idea, good for you. Have fun playing in the snow with your Boys:)

Becky, enjoy your well deserved rest day, you certainly were due!

Okay, enough stalling, time to WORK IT!!

Take Care
Laurie:)

Hi, ladies.

Becky-I live in eastern PA! We haven't had barely any snow all winter, so we're LOVING this! LOL

As for using IMax during my treadmill workout, I am trying to save some money by not buying new workouts. I had toyed with the idea of buying Runervals, but just can't spend the cash right now. Someone had suggested a while ago for me to use Boot Camp in this same fashion while on my stationary bike. I think for my next running day, I will use Boot Camp and include the abs sections.

Thanks for letting me join. I think I'll try to hop in here every day!

Happy Sunday!

Gayle

Good morning,

Last night I did HardCore Extreme: Interval Circuit. I'm very happy with myself for doing that workout. I had zero energy and desire to do exercise of any kind, nevermind a workout that had intervals 4&5 from IMAX3 in it! But I did it anyway, and I'm glad I did. Today is a rest day, so no workout today, except StretchMax, if I get a chance.

Carole - yard work? I want to live where you live! Have a great run.

Gayle - hi! I like your treadmill workout today. That must have been fun! I might try that myself the next time Cathe puts one in her rotations. It's terrific to see such progress in your running. Keep your head above the snow!

Becky - have a nice rest day.

Laurie - have fun with HSTA! I look forward to hearing what you have to say about it. I found it to be on par with the HCExtreme workouts (going by the amount of sweat dripping off my body at the end).

Have a great day!
Sandra

Good Morning Fit Chicks!!!

Today for me will be CardioCoach#5 and AbRipperX.

Carole: I'm glad you are enjoying your sunshine...you deserve it. Have a great trail run today.

Gayle: Welcome to the check-in!! Awesome workout...you leave me in the dust with your treadmill speeds! Enjoy the snow!

Becky: Enjoy your rest day.

Laurie: That sounds like a great workout. I want to give it a try too...let us know how it goes!

Sandra: Good job...that is a tough workout. For me, the HardCore Extremes are SO much harder than the terminator workouts (which I love). I think the editing is too choppy.

We are on the fringe of the storm and woke up to just a few inches....WHEW!

Hello to all that follow...have a great day!

Hi girls.

Carole, have a great run! Believe it or not, I'm NOT sore today! I am amazed! I've had some DOMS for days prior to this though so maybe my marathon actually "worked out the kinks"!;) Have a great run. It must be fun to run with friends like that. I always work out alone! I'd ATTEMPT to get someone to come over and w/o with me but I just don't have the room for it!:-(

Gayle, I've heard another poster say she uses an IMAX for interval work on her stationary bike. Good job and good idea! :)

Becky, enjoy your rest day!

Laurie, good luck on the HSTA mishmosh! GO CAFFEINE!}(

Sandra, sounds like you got a good work out! I have HC Extreme on my wish list!:+

Tammy, have a good work out!

So I have to do PUB today and I'll probably throw in some ab work as well.

We've gotten good snow fall and it's still comin' down. It got heavy and really started to accumulate only in the last few hours. It's truly like a winter wonderland out there! We've also had some BIG wind! I have no idea how much we've gotten...hard to tell with all of the drifting....

My DH has a bowling tournament he and his friend are supposed to be in today. He has to leave in an hour or so. They say they do not cancel this tournament for weather unless there is a state of emergency called which means so far it appears that he's still going! DH's friend has a 4 wheel drive vehicle which will make it a little easier for them...it's just nuts though!

Have a pleasant Sunday ladies!

Workout is done... hair and clothes are beyond drenched...heartrate slooowly coming down.....Sandra.....I say this with the utmost respect and in the best possible way, you are one craaazy Muthah!!.......:) }( :) That was a kickbutt workout and I loved it. I really don't use HSTA much except for the cardio premix. This mishmosh made it fresh and challenging and IMO flowed better (for me) than the 'as is' workout. I will definitely do this again. Thanks so much Sandra, that was truly inspired!

Tammy, give this one a go when you are rested and full of pi$$ and vinegar!}( :)

Wendy, glad you're not sore today. LG is my favourite Cathe lower body. It sounds like a good day to stay home where you are. Enjoy the winter wonderland, spring will be here soon (not soon enough right?!;-) )

Gotta go, my family is begging me to shower NOW!:+

Take Care
Laurie:)

Hi everyone!

Wendy agree it's really a winter wonderland out there. This is how winter should be. It's on a Sunday, no need to worry about commuting, we knew it was coming so all the errands got done yesterday. The snow is light and beautiful. We have about a foot now. I was just out shovelling.

I'm excited I met with the kitchen guy and am going to redo my kitchen. I'll probably move in a few years, but at least I can enjoy it until I move. I'm going to be redoing my kitchen, den and then the floors!

My DD is doing great in France. We start the college search over Feb vacation for my DS. Tammy aren't you doing that as well?

I slept A LOT this weekend :) So needed. Work has been taking a lot out of me. I talked to my boss about getting on some projects more related to my experience. I am going to try to stay put at the company where I am. I guess the drinks with my friend that then "was it something more", no "just friends" took more out of me than I thought! I am still anoyed about how my other friend handled it, no support at all. Men! I think for now I'm steering clear from the dating scene. I just don't think I'm up for it.

Today will be cardio. I felt so good with kickbox this week, may do another week of it. I just have to get the lifting in>

Have a good day everyone.

Carole have a great run.

Gayle - Welcome! Funny I was just planning out college trips and realize how many great ones there are in PA.

Tammy - great workout as always.

Wendy - sounds great workout

Sandra - Sounds like a good workout.

Laurie - I feel your energy wow!

Becky - Enjoy the rest day. They are so important.

Hello all !!!

Today I have Cardio Coach #3 on the recumbent bike and gilad abs workout. I'm snowed in so I might finish washing clothes before I start. Hope you all have a good workout.

>>My DD is doing great in France. We start the college search over Feb vacation for my DS. Tammy aren't you doing that as well?<<

Robyn ~ glad to hear your DD is having a great time in France. What a wonderful experience.

My DS#2 has 5 college applications in and now we are starting the waiting game. He has received two acceptances to date, but is still waiting on his top 3 choices.

I get to do this again next year with son #3. The good news is that we have visited a lot of colleges this year.

Good luck!

Becky...if there is a local running club where you live, they might know of some trails or even have a group that meets for trail runs. I wouldn't do a trail run by myself..:)

Laurie...yes it is spring fever and very nice too! Yes the sun does feel good but I did get attacked by my roses when I pruned them!!

Sandra...great workout. Somehow I think you'd like Canada better than Calif!!

Robyn, that is great your DD is doing well in France. If you are sleeping alot it might be your body telling you to rest a bit...:)

Thanks to all of you! I had a good run today. Not nearly as windy as last sunday and I felt strong at the end..a good sign...:+ :7 ..Carole

That's great he is already in 2 schools. My DD did ED so it worked out great. I hope my DS will go well too. With his situation I hope he either is near his Dad or closer to home. We live in Boston area so tons of schools here.

Yes Carole, my body is thanking me for the sleep. Sounds like a a wonderful day out there.

We got 1.5 - 2 feet of snow. It's very nice. Maybe I'll work from home tomorrow.
