Good Morning Mariángeles and all fit ladies reading this,

Temp was soring today, it was already 25C when I went out for my long run. Did a VERY very slooooow 13.5K today. I was meant to run 16K but running in this kind of heat always causes a major headache so I thought I'm running for fun, not for pain. Time to stop.

Anyways, I'll do a nice long yogazone w/o after my shower.

Have a great Sunday and a wonderful w/o.

Dutchie :)

PS Though always using sunscreen with SPF20 My shoulders, neck and upper back are kind of red after my run. I don't get a sunburn easily, so I don't really understand this. I've only had a sunburn twice in my life, once when I was on holiday in southern England, and once when I was on Kuaii (sp??). Guess I'll be buying SPF30 tomorrow.

Good morning ladies!

Mariangeles - how is the weather where you are these days?

Dutchie - It's nice to see you posting a run again. Be careful with the sunburn. I swear either the sun gets stronger or the ozone gets thinner every year! By the way, you were in my dream last night. You and DebbieH. We were going out to some swanky dinner, all dolled up in evening gowns. And there was a baby. Don't ask!!:p

I went for a run this morning too, through the woods. It was very therapeutic. I saw a mommy raccoon and her babies. Sooooo cute:)

Later, I plan on doing the upper body conditioning and core work from BodyMax. You know, back when they called it "abs".

Happy Sunday everyone!

Good morning ladies...

Nice to see some fellow runners running today! Yes Shelley I have often found running (especially distance running) to be VERY therapeutic!!

I'll be meeting some friends and running 14-16 miles near a lake up here. Supposed to be nice today with some clouds and about 78! Glad the rain stopped....

Have a great day... http://bestsmileys.com/exercising/5.gif[/img]..Carole

Good Morning Fit Ladies!

LowMax and CM#3 for me today.

Dutchie, Shelley & Carole: Good job on the running. Exactly how long does it take to work up to that kind of distance? And how long do you run for?

Mariangeles; Fun workout today!

Hello to all that follow....

For me Tammy...I started distance running in 1997 when I did mt first marathon. You train your body for the distance by following a schedule, like I got from www.runnersworld.com Some things like not increasing your weekly mileage by more than 10-15% each week are good things to remember. It took me 12 weeks to train to run 26.2 miles. Trail running is a bit slower than pavement running so for example today the 14 would probably take about 2 and a half hours to run.....:)...Carole

Happy Sunday Everyone!
I wish I could run. DH and DS's have the TV's this AM so I'm going to go for a walk. It's cool and sunny out here so I have to take advantage.
I thought I'd be sore this AM but I'm not:D !So I'll walk for an hour and later I plan to do PUB and the cardio in C&W.
Going to a buffet for dinner with DH and DD so I'll need it!!:p

I love Sundays!!!!!

My ankle is still tender but better so I took it kinda easy today. I did a 'Carribean Workout' kickbox and the low impact drills from KickMax, I like them so much I did the last 2 twice. I finished with BC Core only and stretch.

....oops, my FIL just pulled in the driveway...nice surprise on Father's Day:)

Take Care

Good Morning Ladies,

It is a nice day here in Maryland, sunny and right now it is in the 80's. I did Hardcore Extreme circuit and GS legs, floor section.

It is time for a good breakfast, and a little bit of work. Later I am cooking dinner for my dad who is 94yrs. old, he will be 95 in August.

Enjoy your Sunday, and A Happy Father's day to your Husbands and DADs!

A lot of great workouts today. I am going light today. I did two premixes off CoreMax.... Balanced Core and Tough Core for a total of 40 minutes.

Here's the kicker..... my AHR was 107, MHR get this.... 213.... there has to be an error. The only thing I can think of is when I was doing those knee roll-ins which I DID do quite a few of them!!!! I was so surprised and pleased!!! I can't do the side rolls or the pikes yet but I love to see progress. I just hope that MHR wasn't accurate.

StretchMax #3 with band...

and I'm through for today.

Tomorrow is cleaning day so I am taking a rest day.

Not sure what workout I will do. I am being so un organized again and just going with what I feel like doing this weekend. I will however do some upper body work and abs. My cardio workout is still up in the air as to what I will do. I am thinking maybe treadmill again and then tomorrow get back into cathe dvd's.

Look Shelley I said abs! I loved that comment you made. I rarely say core and even hated coremax but love abhits!

Dutchie and Carole- I Would love to run long distances like you ladies do. I don't think my knees would like me though!

Hey I am getting bored with abhits. Do any of you have some HARD dvd's that is all ab work to recomend?

Have a great day everyone and I hope for those that have fathers day plans it goes well.

Terri

Hi Tammy,

For me, it took well over a year to work my way up to 20K. I have a bad knee and I had to progress really really slowly AND have the right shoe to work my way up from not running to where I am today. I still have to cut back on the running or skip a few runs when I've aggrevated my knee like what happened after my first aid refresher course.

Keep on running and you'll get there a lot faster then I did :)

Dutchie

Day at the gym for me. 25 min run - half steady state, half HIIT, spin class, heavy lifting, & abs. Have a great rest of your weekend everyone!

WOW! I can't imagine running for that long a time...your stamina is commendable. I'm in awe!

Thanks for the info Carole...I bookmarked the link.
