Cathlete
Hi good morning, today is Kenpo P90X and I will use my stationary bike too. Have a great day everybody.

Mariángeles a spanish terminator and TAEBO junkie. :) :)

Good morning Mariangeles - I see you really like P90X. You will have to modify your signature line to read spanish terminator, TAEBO, and P90X junkie.:)

Sandra, in case you didn't see my post on the check-in last evening, yes, those pushups on the TS were brutal. I didn't get through them all. I had to go down on my knees very early on those six-count pushups!!

Yesterday was PushmowerMax. Two hours of cardio, I burned some calories (842)!!!

I woke up at 2:30 this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. I finally got up at 4 and did GS chest and triceps. I like that w/o. Those pushups are brutal also!! I surprised myself; the pushups were the first exercise and I went up on my toes and did 11 out of the first 16. I had previously done 6 or 7. I was shaking pretty bad on those last 2 or 3 though.

If I am awake this afternoon, I want to try Rhythmic Step since it got put on hold yesterday.

We are expecting a lot of rain today from Cindi whose remnants are making their way through our area of North Carolina. My thoughts and prayers are with those in the path of Dennis. Stay safe.

Have a great day everybody.

Good morning ladies!

Mariangeles - are you enjoying your vacation?

Jane - good for you for getting up so early and working out! I guess if you can't sleep, you might as well do something, right?

Last night I did ME. I did all the biceps, but went 5 lb lower than Cathe on my weight. Everything else I matched her.

We could really use some rain here, but I'm not entirely sure I'd like it to be from the tail end of a hurricane! My thoughts are with those of you in hurricane country.

Hello, Fit Chicks!

Jane-Great job on the pushups! I hate them! I can do some just not all. Why in the world are they so hard to do?!

Shelley-Thanks for your thoughts and concern. Don't these storms know it's fishing season!! My favorite time of year! I am in a Ladies Tournament this month, so they need to just be still!!

Today am: GS Legs
pm: Stretch Max #1

Have a great day and Be Safe!

Gettings Check-in readers!

Today should be a lovely day. I have bike (stationary) intervals scheduled for cardio, abs and a stretch. I will add 30" yoga and walking lunges if my heel allows.

PUB/PLB bonus yesterday went well. I did 12-16 reps on all leg press and and lunges. Tennis was not tolerated well at all and I need to play again tomorrow. {{{fear}}} My DH was nice enough to massaged my heel, and I am thank ful.

Good Morning Fit Friends~
Hard to believe it's Thursday already!

Boy I really hear a lot of good things about that P90X.

Jane- if you can't sleep, may as well workout!! Good for you.

Hi Shelley! Way to go matching weight w/ Cathe! That is my goal for someday.

Stay safe Carla! Hope you get your tournament in!

That was nice of DH to massage your heel Judy. I'm thinking of hitting DH up for a back rub later. Take it easy on that heel.:)

I just got done w/ HSCI. Feel pretty good. My writst was sore the other day because I grip my guitar too tight and when I went to do pushups, I felt it. But it seems ok now. I'm trying to keep it loose when I practice, and I've been using it all week in wo's so maybe it's getting stronger. Hope so.

Have a beautiful day all.
Kali

Good Morning Fit Ladies!

AACK!!!! I overslept...the alarm went off, I rolled over and silenced it and then fell back asleep. We have the windows open and it is raining a lovely steady rain and both of those things just added up to wonderful sleeping weather...LOL!

SOOOOO, it looks like today will be my rest day.

Mariangeles: Enjoy your workout w/P90X today.

Jane: Wow! I may have to take up lawnmowing!

Shelley: Good job on ME, that bicep section is brutal!

Carla: Enjoy your workout...GS Legs is a toughie!

Judy: Sounds as is if you a great workout planned.

Hello to all that follow...enjoy your day!

Tammy

Good Morning Fit Women,

Yesterday I was outside mowing and hoeing for most of the day. Did not get in KPC, but Core Max 2! I got plenty of cardio outside.

Today will be PLB and Stretch Max. Got to get my hair done today and DD's will get hers done too. Clean Max today too.

Charlotte~~

Good Morning All !

This morning I did Slow & Heavy legs & shoulders. Last week when I did legs, I had DOMS for 5 days!!!
Love the S&H but am on the 3rd week of a 4 week rotation and have decided this week will be my last, then I will move on to something else. It's excellent work but I feel my concentration slipping, and I want to give it 100%.
We are going on vacation at the end of the month (Hilton Head, South Carolina) and I am wondering what most of you do for workouts while you are on vacation? I will have access to a TV, DVD player, VCR........but really don't think I'll do planned workouts. Usually I take long walks on the beach in the morning, and of course play in the water (ocean and pool)and sort of count the week as a rest week. What do you think? Good idea, or do you do something different??

I hope everyone has a wonderful day today! :)

Good morning,

Rest weeks are a very good thing, imo. Your body needs that just as much as intense exercise.

Shelley - Great job on ME, but I want to know if you also did the evil laugh}(

Carla- Stay safe, I pray you are unscathed by this storm.

Today was Rob Glick Amazing Step Styles and Ab hits. Nice lower impact step workout.

Have a great day, my thoughts and prayers are in London.

Good morning everyone! I'm back to work after a 5-day "vacation" (not really a vacation when you're building a deck, but I supposed it's better than being at work).

I did Legs & Glutes this morning and I have that lovely rubber-legs feeling. I love this workout so much, but cannot do those genie-arms things for the life of me. I've decided that you need to actually BE a genie in order to do those. :p

My thoughts are with those affected by the hurricanes, and those in London. Seems like this bad stuff always hits at once, and it just leaves us all feeling a little shellshocked.

Good morning ladies!

Great workouts going on today

Terri...yes I am seeing results with Freestyle. My legs are firmer and feel much stronger when I run. Seems more people are giving it a try lately...:)..

Sandra...now everyone knows about those mirrors in the dressing rooms!!! They lie....:). My hamstrings were a bit sore after GS legs. It amazes me I can still get sore with lighter weights. Honestly I think you can focus more on the muscle you are working.

I am doing MM legs, a 5 mile run, abs, biceps and back...

Have a great day....:)..Carole

Good Morning Ladies.

Sandra-I keep thinking about purchasing a Christi Taylor step work out. How does her choreography compare to Cathe's in style and difficulty?

Mariangles-What is kenpo??

Jane-TWO HOURS of lawnmax!? Holy cow! How much property do you have?? Are you going to purchase the fat analyzer?

Shelley-Gotta love ME! I haven't touched that one since Joey was born...going to have to pull it out next week!

Carla-Do you walk funny after doing GS legs? lol :7

Judy-PUB/PLB full work outs on the same day!? WOW! You are braver than I!

Charlotte-I need a haircut...can I come to the salon with you and your daughter? ;-)

Tammy-Enjoy your rest day!

Becky-Take the rest for sure! Enjoy your vacation!

Conni-How are Rob Glick's work outs compared to Cathe?

Emily-I'm afraid to do L&G in full! Can you walk afterwards? :p

Carole-Sounds like you have a great work out planned for today. Enjoy!

I am supposed to do Boot Camp...wish me luck! Never got abs in last night...maybe I'll do extra abs today then.

Wendy-
You are too funny! Why do we like to torture ourselves like this? Grueling workouts, hair tweezing, strict nutrition! My hubby does whatever, eats whatever, and still looks good! Well, atleast to me!;)

>Emily-I'm afraid to do L&G in full! Can you walk afterwards?
>:p

Well, sort of. You know how E.T. (the extra-terrestrial) walks? That's kind of how I walk after doing L&G... but it wears off in the shower. ;)

Morning Everyone,

Today will be CTX Upper Body and a run. Last night we won our softball game 7-5! Finally the losing streak is over.

My youngest sister e-mailed me yesterday to get advice on losing weight. Apparently her MIL said something about her weight this weekend and she is fighting back! Some people just don't seem to know when their words hurt. x( We are getting together on Monday so I can help her understand how to eat clean, and ways to schedule her exercise. She has a 16 mo. old, so the time thing is an issue.

Have a great day!

Laurie Mac

Wendy - I am going to order the BF analyzer. I just have to get a minute to sit down and look at it. I will probably do it when I get off work today.

We have a little over an acre in yard. The rest is pasture land. We have almost 11 acres. DH let me decide when we moved here how much land I wanted for our yard before he fenced in the rest. I think I got a little carried away. :)

hey ladies! after that pilates class yesterday i was done! so today, i am doing MM and cardio!

jes

Good Morning Buff Women,

Mariangeles, you are really into P90X, you are going to get really Buff!

Jane mowing over an acre of land with a push lawmower, it is impressive!

Wendy, Kenpo X is a kickboxing workout from P90X not as fun as KPC.

Carole, you rock, your workouts are always extreme!

I did Imax2 and KM drills and blast, I was supposed to do Kenpo X but I could not get into it today, but I got myself a good cardio mix.

Have a great everyone!

Good morning!

This morning I did Body Fusion and the BS upper body add-on. I've never done the add-on before. It's a great travel workout - you only need to bring a band and one set of light weights. Cathe should make a travel workout, kind of like SJP, but all hi/lo & kickboxing moves (no step), and the weight work all band and plyo metrics. With the SJP kind of premixes, you could get a lot of variety with very minimal equipment needs.

Katie - that's so cool that you were smiling even after interval 9! Great progress! Does this mean you're ready for Recovery-Time-is-for-Wimps-IMAX3??

Wendy - IMAX2 is a lot of fun, isn't it? The bad news is that the first 5 intervals are the "easier" ones }( Enjoy BC today! Christie's workouts have much more complex choreography than Cathe's workouts. Step Blast choreo is easy by comparison. However, she does not include very much high impact, and no plyo or power moves. Her workouts are fast-paced, complex, and a lot of fun. She cues a bit differently than Cathe does, so learning what she means when she says "L-step", for example, is half the learning curve. You work up a great sweat with her workouts, due to the fast pace, but you don't stress the joints. I'm finding her workouts really suit me well right now, and I don't have to modify any of her moves. She also picks music that I quite like: popular songs that hold up well over the years. Not techno-type stuff. If you're looking for a good workout to start with, I recommend Totally Cool Step. She has a "move master" segment on that dvd where she breaks down the combos really slowly. And of all the step workouts I have of hers, I found it to be the easiest to learn.

Connie - I love your attitude! Yes, any workout is better than none - especially when you're having an off day. Did yesterday's workout give you some more energy?

Foodie Sue - IMAX's warm up is a workout all in itself, isn't it? I really like the combo you put together yesterday. It sounds very challenging!

Jane - Wow!! LawnMax is definitely a great workout! When we move to our new house, I think our lawn is going to be something like 4 feet square; I'll have to cut it with scissors to get the kind of workout you're getting! Keep setting a great example for DD! (And I completely relate to your experience with the TS push ups. You kind of don't expect to have such a hard round of push ups on that dvd, do you?).

Becky - the rare times that I go away for vacation or work-related stuff I typically take with me KPC/LG and BC/ME. I throw in a set of 8 pound weights, and I'm good to go. I also do some running for some varied cardio. As to whether you "should" do planned workouts while on vacation, that's a personal decision. If you think you could benefit from a week of rest, then just go and enjoy yourself. It sounds like your vacation is pretty active.

Emily - so, do you finally get to sit on your new deck with a tall drink this evening? I like those genie-arm taps in LG, but because she does them on a slow count, they're definitely harder to do than in other workouts, where she does them quicker. They're great for teaching balance!

Carole - yes those mirrors do lie, but shouldn't they lie in a *good* way?? Why can't they make me look taller, with thinner thighs? I may give that freestyle approach a try after I have the baby and want to lose the extra weight.

Laurie Mac - Great job on breaking the losing streak!! Go Team Paragon! (I've never come up with a cheer. Writer's block. Sorry :-( )

Laurie - I got your PM! Thank you for that! I'll respond soon!

My DD doesn't have writer's block, though. She is currently writing a book a day! Pretty good for a kid who will turn 5 this month. She takes a bunch of papers from my "old thesis drafts" pile, draws pictures on the clean sides, staples them together, then gives the book to me dictates what she wants written on each page. I write things down verbatim for her, and it is hilarious what she comes up with. Today's book, she tells me, is going to be called "The Girl in the Invisible House."

Well, time to go have a shower and look presentable. Have a great day everyone!

Sandra
