Cycle Max Crew

Cathlete
I posted this in the new workouts forum but didn't get any response. Can anyone tell me who the crew is in Cycle Max? I would love to be able to match the name with the face. Everyone looks awesome, and it is super-motivating to know that I'm pedaling along with other Cathletes--even if I am just learning.:p

Hi Elsie! If you look at the pic on the back cover, here are the names from left to right....

Stacie, (half hidden) Tracie, Kimberly, Amanda, DebbieH, Cathe, JennD, Brenda, JennA, Carolyn & Michelle. Hope that helps!

Thanks Debbie! You were the only one I knew. Here's hoping you'll all be back for another one.;)

Hi Elsie! I am the one on the left side in the back with the blue top. Did you notice my electric blue shoes too! :D I kept joking with Cathe about how my shoes matched my shirt perfectly. You get to see a lot of shots of our furiously peddling feet in the workout and you can definitely see mine!!!!!

Oh and I'm Stacie!

Very fun tread. Anyone else on the crew want to chime in? It's so fun to see you all on the DVD..

Elsie, I am the other girl in red.. to the right of the beautiful Debbie H!!

How fun! It is so great to "see" you guys in action. By the way, now I would love you to post a running rotation incorporating LIS (and especially Cycle Max).;):D

Elsie,,

Are you training for anything right now? I have been just doing local 5Ks...but maintaining by still running twice a week. I have added a one day a week of Spinning to the mix. But as long as I get that long run in on Saturdays, I don't worry too much how much I am doing. Next year I'll probably go back to focusing on speed more, I will do my usual 10 mile race in May and I think I am going to sign up for a half. I have to be selective on the races that I choose....with 4 kids it's just hard to do. Anyway, I can try to think up a rotation with LIS. LIS would probably work well with running. With running being high impact, it would be a good idea to add low impact during the week. I am all about variety..which in the end helps with running. I especially think you need strength and plyometric workouts as well. I'll get back to you.....Glad you are enjoying CycleMax, but who wouldn't, Cathe's a genius!!

Thanks for letting me "meet" you guys!

Jenn, It's so awesome that my "running mentor" is in Cycle Max. Due to the purchase of my spin bike, I promised myself no entry fees for at least a year;)--but it is soooooo worth it! I just have to remember that next May when half my neighborhood is doing a marathon.:p I'm still trying to run once or twice a week, and I'd of course like to improve my pace. I'm loving LIS and think it will be just super for any rotation. Don't go to any extra trouble, but if you figure something out and wouldn't mind sharing, I always appreciate your advice.

LIS plus Running Rotation

Thanks for letting me "meet" you guys!

OK, so I did a bit of thinking as to what I would for a rotation with my current running schedule and adding LIS to it. Here's what I came up with:

I always do a long run on Saturday, just to keep my endurance up. It's usually somewhere between 8 to 10 miles.

M: Cardio Supersets (if you want to do a longer premix, go ahead)
T: Tri-sets Upper Body Split
W: Run Intervals (Jog/Run - 2:1 - 2 minute jog, 1 minute sprint)
Th: Tri-sets Lowerbody Split
F: Low Impact Challenge
Sat: Long Run
S:Yoga Max (full workout or premix - you choose)

M: Tri-sets TB
T: Run 3 miles - Hills, or find a hilly more challenge route, Afterburn (choose a 30 minute premix)
W: Turbo Barre
Th: Cycle Max, Yoga Relax (30 minute premix)
F: Athletic Training
Sat: Long Run
Sun: Yoga Max

M: Low Impact Challenge plus Bonus
T: Trisets Upper Body SPlit
W: Run - 5 miles Intervals, jog 5 minutes, 2:1, cool down 5 minute run
Th: Athletic Training Express, Slide and Glide Cardio and Abs Premix
F: Turbo Barre - Lower Body Express
Sat: Long Run
S: Yoga Max

M: Slide and Glide
T: Run 3 miles - steady State, Cardio Supersets
W: Athletic Training
Th: Cycle Max plus LIC Bonus
F: Trisets Total Body
S: Long Run or Yoga (if you are too sore to run do Yoga)
Sun: Yoga, or Long Run, depending on what you did on Sat.

I think this is good to keep your running in check, when you start focusing on a race you can bump up and add another run a week. I hope it helps, let me know if you have any questions.

Jenn I love your rotation! I have been running & actually just finished my 1st half marathon last Sunday with PR 1.48:50 which I'm really happy. I want to do another half in May & I'll definitely keep your rotation in mind but will add 1 more run as you suggested.
Thanks,
Raciela.

Congrats, Raciela, on an amazing Half...feel free to tweak the rotation, but I found that mixing up different cardio and adding resistance to my running has helped me improve my running. Good luck on your next race!!!!

Hello all my CycleMax friends! Looks like a great rotation JennD. CycleMax was a dream come true for me! I am looking forward to Glassboro for a reunion!

I agree and I think less chance of injury! Thanks.

Hi, CycleMax crew! A big shout out to all of you for a job well done! I love the workout and I LOVE your smiling faces throughout it! I was spinning on my bike this morning looking at all of you and enjoying the camaraderie which it seems like you all share through the experience of being a part of CycleMax. Very fun and bonding for each of you, I am sure! Thanks for all the hard work!

Thank you Courtney! What a nice thing to say. I have to tell you, this group of gals did bond very well. We had so much fun together. I remember thinking how amazed I was that Cathe picked not only a fit group of gals that could go the distance, but also, a group that just blended so great together. I made lifelong friends with everyone of them and truly count it a blessing to be a part of this workout. Thanks so much for sharing you kind, kind words. It means a lot to me! I'll be sure to look your way with a smile next time! :D
