LIS plus Running Rotation
Thanks for letting me "meet" you guys!
Jenn, It's so awesome that my "running mentor" is in Cycle Max. Due to the purchase of my spin bike, I promised myself no entry fees for at least a year
--but it is soooooo worth it! I just have to remember that next May when half my neighborhood is doing a marathon.
I'm still trying to run once or twice a week, and I'd of course like to improve my pace. I'm loving LIS and think it will be just super for any rotation. Don't go to any extra trouble, but if you figure something out and wouldn't mind sharing, I always appreciate your advice.
OK, so I did a bit of thinking as to what I would for a rotation with my current running schedule and adding LIS to it. Here's what I came up with:
I always do a long run on Saturday, just to keep my endurance up. It's usually somewhere between 8 to 10 miles.
M: Cardio Supersets (if you want to do a longer premix, go ahead)
T: Tri-sets Upper Body Split
W: Run Intervals (Jog/Run - 2:1 - 2 minute jog, 1 minute sprint)
Th: Tri-sets Lowerbody Split
F: Low Impact Challenge
Sat: Long Run
S:Yoga Max (full workout or premix - you choose)
M: Tri-sets TB
T: Run 3 miles - Hills, or find a hilly more challenge route, Afterburn (choose a 30 minute premix)
W: Turbo Barre
Th: Cycle Max, Yoga Relax (30 minute premix)
F: Athletic Training
Sat: Long Run
Sun: Yoga Max
M: Low Impact Challenge plus Bonus
T: Trisets Upper Body SPlit
W: Run - 5 miles Intervals, jog 5 minutes, 2:1, cool down 5 minute run
Th: Athletic Training Express, Slide and Glide Cardio and Abs Premix
F: Turbo Barre - Lower Body Express
Sat: Long Run
S: Yoga Max
M: Slide and Glide
T: Run 3 miles - steady State, Cardio Supersets
W: Athletic Training
Th: Cycle Max plus LIC Bonus
F: Trisets Total Body
S: Long Run or Yoga (if you are too sore to run do Yoga)
Sun: Yoga, or Long Run, depending on what you did on Sat.
I think this is good to keep your running in check, when you start focusing on a race you can bump up and add another run a week. I hope it helps, let me know if you have any questions.
