CTX Question

I just bought CTX and the workouts sound awesome, and I know they work as stand-alone workouts. I couldn't quite tell how they are designed to be used, though. Are they meant so you can do the workouts 6 days in a row, in order? I figured it was similar in style to 4-Day Split in that regard.

Thanks!

Yes, the series was designed so that you could do one complete workout as produced each day for a 6-day schedule. Just make sure you don't do the Power Circuit workout and the Leaner Legs workout on consecutive days, or your legs will become total jello!

Enjoy!

I never have used CTX as it was designed, Instead, I used to use a cardio session as the ideal warm up before intense weight lifting sessions. Or, I double up and do any 2 of the cardios back to back for a great 1 hour of Cathe cardio. You can do the CTX upper body split all together in one session, and repeat once or twice a week, and LL stands out as one of Cathe's best lower body workouts ever: quick, dirty and gets the job done.

CTX blends effortlessly with all your other workouts.

I found that using CTX as it is intended is too much step and too much impact for me (4 of the 5 cardio workouts include step, and all of the workouts are higher impact). My knees definitely did not like this rotation (but I think the weight work is fabulous!) Turning one of the step workouts into either a floor cardio workout, or a low-impact step workout with low risers is one way to help with that. (Or if you have 4DS, subbing the kickboxing workout for one of the step workout would help as well).

Thank you! I think I will try doing the workouts consecutively and see how that goes; I am used to doing high-impact stuff on consecutive days. Then I'll have a good idea of how to incorporate the individual workouts into my overall routine.
