CTX check-in...

Joy & Sabine (and anyone else who wants a check in)-
wondering if you want to continue a check in since we've reached our Thanksgiving goal... I'm game if you are!

Joy- hope all went well yesterday.
 
Hi Brenda,

I'd really like that! It was very fun and motivating to check in with you and Joy every day and to see what we were each doing.

Speaking of doing, here's what I've been up to (fitness wise) for the past few days...

Wednesday- did Slow and Heavy Chest and Back with abs and additional ab work. Really got a good burn in the chest especially and felt very strong. The plank work (which counts for abs in this Slow and Heavy workout) was not so pretty as my lower back was feeling the tension so I couldn't really hold them for that long. One day I hope to get better at these and hold them with good form for as long as Cathe. Because I was feeling wimpy about the planks, did 10 minutes of Quick Fix abs.
Wednesday part 2- went with my sister later that day to her health club and did some additional stuff. Did the ellipitical machine for 30 minutes and then did some ab work on the stability ball. Can't believe that I did stability ball stuff in public. Usually I'm rolling all over the place at home:D .
Thursday- 5k walk to feed the hungry. Managed to do the whole thing in just over an hour which is not bad when you're doing the course with 18,000 other people. Plus, I was walking one of my sister's dogs who periodically had to stop to do his thing and sniff random stuff.
Friday- day off. Am recovering from a turkey hangover:p .

So tomorrow is Slow and Heavy bi's and tri's. And Sunday will be a cardio workout, probably StepFit.

Joy- hope things went well on Wednesday and that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Brenda- hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well and thanks so much for suggesting to keep the check in going!

Sabine- sounds great! I didn't get to check anything yesterday so I'm just posting now... How about we call it the Fit for Christmas check in? Kind of long, but I'm thinking short term goals (plus the holiday eating has begun already!:-( )
Here's what I've done since we last met:
Wed- Boot Camp
Thurs - MIC
Fri - off
Sat - Power Hour
Sun - haven't decided yet...

Good job on the 5k AND the stability ball - I know exactly what you mean about public displays of stabilty ball prowess. Getting out of position never looks graceful!

Brenda and Sabine,
I would love to do a Fit for Christmas check in with you too, if that's okay. I have been feeling slightly lonely in my workouts and they are definetly suffering. Maybe if I post with you every week (is it Saturday or Sunday?) I will keep myself motivated.

I'm sure I can speak for Sabine & Joy that we welcome all with open arms! We actually post daily but Thanksgiving through our schedules off a little. We'd love to have you- just look for the posts and check-in whenever you want. I've found it to be a great way to keep motivated and honest with my workouts!
