Hi Brenda and Sabine,
Thanks for the well wishes for my DH. We do need them.
My leg is feeling much better and I'm being very cautious and conservative...
Brenda I think MIS is a really tough workout. It is sooo long. I know the leg portion isn't as much as ME and PH but it ALWAYS gets my inner thighs - I have major DOMS the next day. Another Catheite suggested all of the squating used the stabilizers and helped to exhaust them... I like MIS better than ME or PH, probably because the legs are so hard in ME and PH, especially those static lunges.
How was Boot Camp today? Did you do the main workout or one of the options. I know a lot of people like the premix where you do all the ab/core work at the end. Boot camp back to back with SJP sounds like a good combo to work on definition.
Sabine I agree that ctx is a fun rotation. There really is quite a bit of cardio and definately a lot of intervals. If you ever get the PS series, I have a rotation that Cathe wrote that combines CTX and PS and gets each body part two times per week. Its pretty tough. Now for S&H. YEP BIG change from CTX! I know what you mean about shoulders because they are my weakest area. I have to really concentrate on keeping my shoulders back and down-especially the right one. I did do a S&H 3-week rotation and I really concentrated on my bi's. I did manage to see some measurable improvement. Rather than try to up my weights on every body part, I focused on upping the weights for my bi's.
OH and I am a BIG Christie fan. I mainly do her Hi/Lo - I admit to being a little confused by her stepping, but I'm going to give it another try. I have a VHS copy of Step Heaven that I don't need (I bought the fantastic four dvd) Would you like to have it? I can mail it next week. Email or Pm me w/ your address if you're interested.
Brenda I totally agree with Sabine about S&H being not like anything else but most like PS and pyramids. Some people love it and some people find it incredibly boring. I do have to be in the 'mood' for it.
Oh BTW I did CTX Kickbox today. I was very conservative on the power scissors but overall I was extremely pleased with my workout - especially the bi's. however, i don't think i'll ever be able to hold up my leg (either one) on those reverse planks...(sigh)
See you all next week...
