Creating your own workouts?

Can you guys give me any ideas on how you create your own workout if you don't feel like following the whole "beginning to end" of one of Cathe's workouts? Just trying to find some variety as I am new to these DVD's.

FYI, I am now using Low Impact Step w/o and will be trying the Low Max, maybe next week.

Thanks all!

Aquajock is the queen of the mish-moshes, she's the best one to ask. I hope she sees this.

I take other's ideas. Then I also sometimes take bits I like from different workouts. For instance. I can't stand the first segment of Step Jam, but I love the last one, so I will mix Step Jam with another video, using another segment for the first one. I haven't really made too much use of premixes, and I haven't been able to use the "workout blender," which is on some videos.

I also think about what I am trying to accomplish with a workout and what needs to fit into my rotation. Is it an UB day? Circuit day? Interval Day? All cardio? etc. Then I just take pieces from different workouts I like.

The funnest one I have done recently, and I got this idea from the January rotation, is that I interspersed segments from Imax2 and LowMax. I just alternated complete segements. It was very fun, and I will definitely do it again.

Hope this helps.
