CRAZY STRONG & LOVING IT FOR NOV 16, 2010

Good Morning!

Cardio and Abs day for me too, Belinda! Step Fit, huh? Maybe I should try an oldie but goodie step! I was thinking step, but not excited about any I can think of so far. The oldies would be interesting to check out./.... Oh I do love STS. This is my 3rd round since I got it, and I love it even more!

Nora: What is Jillian Michaels iFit? Are those for the treadmill? Either way, kickBUTT workout yesterday for you, girl!. Ya, I'm not so excited by the Double Wave method of weights, just because I found it "busy" trying to change all the weights over quickly. I didn't mind the actual weight work.

Roxie: Hope you feel better today and got a good night's sleep!

Debbie: Ugh on the holidays and off eating. I need to do something extra too. Halloween killed me already. I have a few extra pounds already! :eek:

Melissa: Interesting ideas on STS weight work. Can't wait to hear what you do. The one body part a day was good for me too, every day with cardio. Actually, I think I got the best results when I did Turbo Fire, which was a lot more cardio than weights. A combination of circuits and cardio would be good too.

So many options!

Today was cardio. Didn't feel like doing cardio. Wish I could get past this cardio block I'm in.

I chose Cardio Coach #1. Had a pretty good workout. Inner thigh started hurting again with Challenge #2 but I kept going. Tired of this.

Also did MIS Abs. Love that one.

Well - last night's workout got me good BUT then it left me so wired that sleep was NOT to be had last night. Oof, I'm pooped. But I did get up before work to do another round of Core Fusion and it got me good again AND I felt my abs really strengthening today. YAY for it working and getting me excited about ab work again. Who knew, right??

Debbie - uh oh, another cardio block huh? So funny - I'm the opposite, I'm usually obsessed with cardio vs. weights - though these days I'm happy with both, I think it's the STS bug that's got me good this time that helps. Though cardio-wise, I have not been into step for awhile now, once in awhile it's good to pull out, but lately it's just boring me. Maybe you need to find a new form of cardio to try that you might love? What do you tend to do mostly now aside from the treadmill or step?

Hi ladies. Today I will do shoulders/triceps/abs and some sort of cardio - maybe step blast.

Debbie - is it just that you can't settle on a cardio you just love to do? I don't know how you feel about it, but maybe a group class of some sort?

Last night I ended up with 4DS HIS. Fun stuff!

So tonight I'm starting my one body part per day STS M3. Already did Chest & Back on Saturday so tonight will be shoulders. I'm going to have to decide if I want to still use the DVD and skip past the other body parts or just use my iPod. I'll do 30 minutes of cardio as well.

Belinda - nice job on Step Fit.

Debbie - I love CCV1. Way to push through!!

Chris - did you break out some old-school step today...:cool:

Jessica - I wasn't fond of ab work either until DH and I started doing to STS ab work. I wasn't fond of working legs either until I started STS. There is something about STS, huh?!?! It's an awesome feeling when you finally find something that makes you want to work the parts you don't normally like working!!!

Heather - you always remind me how much I love Step Blast!!
 
VERY good point, Melissa!! STS has a funny way of making you love the stuff you used to hate. I used to hate legs too but now I LOVE doing them.

Hoping I'll LOVE abs soon too. I'm getting there ;-)

Let me know how the whole breaking up the M3 stuff works for you. I'm curious!

Back from lunch workout. I did shoulders and triceps:

SS#1 - 3x8
Overhead dumbbell press - 20's
Overhead triceps extensions - 30# (this felt super heavy today)

SS#2 3x8
Upright dumbbell rows - 21's (up 1#)
Lying triceps extensions - 16's (again, hard today)

SS#3 - 3x10
Lateral raises - 12's
Double-arm kickbacks - 12's

Front raise open to side - 10 - 10's
Weighted triceps dips - 16 - 40#

Now I'll do step and abs after work. Not sure if I'm going to do LIC (just the 3 combos) and abs from that DVD or SB and the abs from that disc.

Core Cuts-Standing Med Ball Abs #1A= 12 Min
Met Value= 4.5
Calories burned= 74
Using #8 Med ball

Total Calories burned from today's workout= 850:cool:

I'm feeling super exhausted today I didn't sleep well last night. I don't know if I'll be up to personals later, I'll try but no promises. I hope your Tuesday workouts went well and are having a great day.

Nora - for someone that didn't sleep well last night you still managed to bang out not only Step Blast but MMA Boxing - Heavy bag?!?! I bow to your never-ending AWESOMENESS!!!!! Now rest and take care of yourself. That's an order....;)
