CRAZY STRONG & LOVING IT FOR MARCH 30,2011

Today was total body and I had an excellent workout. My legs are sore from that kickboxing workout from yesterday which surprises me. Same workout as last Wednesday only in superset fasion.

3 sets/8 reps with 1 minute 30 second rest between each superset.

Dumbbell Military Press - 25's (up 3#)
ss w/
Leg Press Station - 220# (up 10#)

SS #2
Incline Dumbbell Press - 37's (up 2#)
ss w/
T-Bar Row - 85# (up 5#)

SS #3
Dumbbell Preacher Curl - 25# (no increase)
ss w/
Lying Barbell Tricep Extensions - 52# (up 2#)

Then I did the Oxygen Ab Work I love so much:

Triset:
Hanging Knee Raise
Bench V-Ups
Reverse Bench Hip Lifts

***Did 15 reps each exercise, 1 minute rest; 12 reps each exercise, 1 minute rest; 10 reps each exercise. Got a great burn!
 
Happy Hump Day. Last night I hit the gym for upper body weights. I went with supersets of 3x5 after a 10-minute warm up on the elliptical:

Assisted pullups (failed at 4 on the 3rd set) - 60#
Underhand barbell rows - 80#

Dumbbell curls - 20's
Hammer curls (failed at 4 on the 2nd set) - 20's

Flat bench chest flye - 25's
Flat bench chest press - 25's

Overhead press - 20's
Lateral raise - 12's

Double-arm triceps extension - 30#
Lying dumbbell extensions - 15's

I also did some ab exercises then finished out with another 10 minutes on the elliptical.

Not sure what I'll do today - run outside or do some intervals on the treadmill. It'll depend on how the weather shapes up. Or I may just do legs today and rest tomorrow if I can figure out how to fit in a workout on Friday.

Tonite for me is suppose to be HSC but I got rid of that one so I will do High Step Circuit instead. I don't think I ate enough yesterday I was dreaming about food.

Hi Girls!

Today was supposed to be HSC, like Roxie. I didn't do it, exactly,though. My legs were DOMs'ing from yesterday's Bob!! :eek: and I did not want to do any step (calf issue) So , I mish moshed it by just doing the warm up, and then all the upper body weight work (no cardio), abs, stretch. For my cardio portion, I went to the park for a run!!!! It hit 50 and the sun is shining HUGE out there. Probably the only nice day of the week. It was very nice, enjoyed it, even though my calf kept me from pushing it hard, and my leg DOMS.

Belinda: I'm on my last week of Cathe's March 2011 Rotation. It's upper body and abs focused, thus the 4 days of abs/core!!!

Debbie: NICE weight work, as always. I was surprised I had DOMS from Bob yesterday too. Though there were a lot of weighted squats and HOLDING in the squat position. Guess it got me!

Nora: Awesome workout yesterday!! You must be feeling pretty good. Thanks for the info and the link on the gym thingie. I just wondered. I always put things in the back of my mind, in case I have a fitness purchase urge! LOL!. I also ordered Bob's new cardio, it should be here anyday!!!

Heather: So you're switching it up like you said yesterday? . Sounds like a good plan. Whatever keeps you happy and the enthusiasm going, right?

Think I will take Buddy for a little walk!

Warm up: 2 sets/10 reps
Squats - 65#

Workout: 4 sets/7 reps

Squats - 105#, up 5# from last week!
Deadlifts - 75#, up 10 #
Front Squats - 68#, up 3#
Static lunges - 105#, up 5# (those are tough)

Nora - glad you still enjoy P90X, wtg!

Roxie - nice job, on HSC this evening.

Chris - wtg, on your DOMS! Be carful, with that calf! I need to focus more on abs, lol!
