CRAZY STRONG & LOVING IT FOR MARCH 10, 2011

Good morning,

I think I will try one of my new DVD's this morning:D I am meeting a friend for lunch today. I will not be back until later this afternoon.

Have a great workout everyone!

Today was stretching and right now I'm feeling pretty good. I am shocked at how tight my muscles are, even after these last few weeks of stretching and yoga, even though I haven't done much yoga. I have done a lot of stretching.

Today I did an hour of it. I did Karen Voight's Yoga Stretch and KCM's Bonus Stretch from her Bootcamp workout. My left side is still so tight, I just don't understand it.

Feel really good right now, though. :D

Now we have no bathroom at work. Had our septic tank sucked out and with all the rain we had yesterday it filled back up and the toilets are backing up. Septic people said boss man might need to get his tank replaced or tiles are broken somewhere. Whatever. Give us an answer as to what is wrong. They left without even talking to my boss. WTH?

So when we have to go we go up to my bosses house which is right on top of the hill from where the newspaper is. What a pain.

I wonder if this place will ever be nice to work at?

Good Morning,

DH and I went out for supper last night (it was his night to cook) so I didn't ge a workout in. Tonite I will do GS bbs and abs. Now I have to play catch up still don't know what I am going to replace BM2 with I just don't have the time in the next 2 days to get it done.

Debbie-sounds like he needs a new building. Good job getting some stretching done.

Belinda-enjoy your new workout.

I ended up hitting the treadmill and elliptical after work. It was super windy and chilly out. I did 2 miles then 6 1-minute intervals then ran a few more minutes to round out to 4 miles before hitting the elliptical for about 10 minutes.

Today will be weights after work.

Belinda - enjoy your lunch!

Debbie - I'm sorry to hear about the work situation. Just when you don't think it can get worse....

Roxie - enjoy your workout tonight!

Nora - I'm exhausted reading about your workout. What a long one girl!

Waves to Chris and Jessica!

Hi Girls!

Somehow I missed checking in yesterday!

I did GS: Back Shoulders Biceps. Definitely hit a 're-set' when I was off last week with TOTAL rest (illness). My muscles have been screaming at me with the weight work this week! My biceps are really tight today and my back! Today I did IMAX 2, intervals 1-8. I hit a coughing spell after 8, and I really didn't plan on the whole thing anyways, so that was that! I just love IM2, haven't done it in a very long time! I also did No Equipment Abs.

Roxie: Sounds like you're doing the March 2011 Rotation too? I'm doing BM2 tomorrow! Do you not have time? Doesn't sound like you should do GS: BSB today and then BM2 tomorrow anyhow. that's too much weight work back to back.

Belinda: You are moving right along on STS! Means your move is coming soon too? Are you getting ready for it? Are you bringing your dogs with you ?

Debbie: Nice job on stretching today! It is amazing how tight you can get. Sorry about the job issues. That sounds crazy you have to walk to your boss' house to pee!!!

Heather: Back to running, huh? Your legs are all recovered now? Runners world posted a picture of a runner's foot on Twitter the other day. OMG, it was SO gross! It was a HUGE blood blister covering 1/2 of the foot!

Jess: Yes, I was so sick last week. I can't remember being that sick in years. I always think I'm so invincible, being "healthy" and taking all my vitamins. Apparently not!. That's great you're loving CF!

Nora: You're doing pretty good, huh? Still doing all those workouts!! You are a crazy girl!!!

I changed up my eating this week. Did I tell you? Started doing the Flat Belly Diet. It's not that I NEED a "flat belly", but I liked the theory of how to eat. I've been eating every 2-3 hours for so long now, I wanted to change it up. So now I've started doing 4 meals, 400 calories each, and each has to have a MUFA in it (monounsaturated fatty acid, like olive oil, or olives, or natural peanut butter, or walnuts, etc). I'm really likeing it so far and have seen an improvement in my scale trend! But it's kind of early to tell, so far so good!

Belinda - What workout did you choose??

Roxie - You need to start getting up early and workout in the a.m. You are missing alot of workouts due to evening engagements. But I hope you had a great dinner out! Sounds like fun. And yes, I think we need to start all over here at work.

Heather - It's not cold here yet but it will be. We're looking at 3-6" of snow by tomorrow again. Yikes. Why????

Chris - Where can I find this flat belly diet plan? Sounds really interesting to me. I've been eating every 3 hours for YEARS and maybe my body needs a change as well. Can you pm me some info?

Debbie-I really had planned on getting up this morning but I didn't sleep very well last night, thanks for kicking my ass. We are expecting 70 degree weather tomarrow so I am going to go for a walk after work. I am going to work really hard on getting up so DD and I don't have to fight for my workout space.

Had a fantastic day with my friend:eek: we had a lot of fun. DH and I went to the gym this evening, I ran on the TM and did CCV6, 4 miles! Kicked my butt after yesterdays leg workout. I need to get a shower, unwind a little. It's almost 9 pm. BBL!

Hey ladies! Crazy, craaaazy day today. I don't think I have time for personals right now but wanted to at least say hi!

I managed to get to Core Fusion this morning since its my work from home day, LOVE going to the class! I'm also planning to go to Kick tonight which I just love, love, LOVE!

Debbie - I saw your follow-up question from last night. Core Fusion is broken up into 5 segments:
  • segment 1 - upper body work with light handweights, and includes push-ups and planks
  • segment 2 - thigh/glute work at the ballet barre, with or without a playground ball for added torture! then a bunch of glute work also against the bar, or on the floor
  • segment 3 - flat/back round back series against the wall for the core
  • segemnt 4 - the "core fusion ab curl" which is all deep core work
  • Segment 5 - stretch/cool down
It's about 50 mins to an hour (usually an hour for the actual class vs. the DVDs, of which I know do both)

Do you think doing that a couple days a week, plus two days of weights AND a couple days of cardio is overkill? Probably, huh?

Honestly, Jess, I don't think it's a good idea to do all that. If you decide to do the rotation I'm doing, you need to do it with 3 full body workouts and 3 cardio days. All the other stuff would be overkill, imo. This rotation is made to build muscle and if you are doing other things with it, that will defeat the purpose.

Debbie - thank you for your advice. I really appreciate it! I am dying to try that weight rotation but am not sure I'm willing to give up Core Fusion right now. I'm so torn!

Chris - It's always hard getting back to it after being so sick. Take it easy!!! My legs are pretty much a-ok (calves a bit sore still). Thank goodness I haven't had any feet issues like that. I am not sure I'd run!

Hi girls,

I'm back for personals.

Belinda- Nicely done on the CCV6 four mile run on TM at the gym. Yes, you've definitely earned a nice relaxing evening to unwind and take it easy after that. I'm glad you and your friend had fun today. WTG girl!;)

Debbie- Awesome relaxing stretching for you today. I hope that helps alleviate any tight and sore muscles for you. Take it easy!;)

Roxie- Sounds like a nice evening for you and your DH. Have a great workout with GS BBS tonight. Oh and on BM2 and making it up on your rotation remember there are premixes on it, maybe pick a timesaver one, that's my suggestion. If not, don't worry about it. Just have fun with whatever you decide don't stress over it, ok.;)

Heather- Great workout on the treadmill and elliptical tonight. Nicely done with getting in some running and good distance in on your workout, too bad the weather outside wasn't nice out to go for a run outside. Awesome job on your workout!:)

Chris- It sounds like your on the mend and trying to get your body back on track with workouts, which is cool just don't do too much too soon. I know that's laughable coming from me, right?:p I see you did GS BSB, Imax 2 1-8 Intervals, and then no equipment abs. Geez, girl that's super ambitious coming back from feeling so awful. If it feels like its too soon for that much of an workout, listen to your body ease off and slowly work back to what you are used to doing. Please take care! Well done on your workout have a nice and relaxing evening. ;)

Jessica- Sorry to hear that your day is crazy busy even working from home today. Great job getting in a Core Fusion workout already and later a kick class, sounds perfectly awesome to me. Have fun at kick tonight!;)

That's it for me tonight girls. I hope all of you have a nice relaxing evening after all those killer workout today. Don't forget if sore muscles think about a nice warm bath to soak those sore muscles in with some epsom salts and unwind. I'm going to spend some quality time with my corn pillow on my neck and hope that I can turn my head tomorrow without fear of tearing or poping neck muscles on that side. I wish I had a bottle of wine to drink, oh well.

Hugs to everyone!;)
