Today I will do STS TB;)

Good Morning,

I did KCMs 30min to Wts. Chest, Back and Legs plus core work. I really need to do a good ol fashion ab workout still can't lay on the floor. Its suppose to be 105 for the next 3 days. At least where we are going on vacation is much coooler.

Today was Total Body and I chose the new STS Total Body workout. It was AWESOME!! I loved it. Each section had 3 tri-set workouts. First set of trisets is 16 reps, second set is 12 reps. What a burner for each section. The only thing I didn't like was there was only 2 tricep exercises. No tricep section at all, one exercise was included with the chest work and the other was Tricep pushups that was in a bonus burn section. Weird.

But, I was sweating like crazy and really had a great workout.

Now I don't do total body until Tuesday. I hope that will be enough for this next 9 weeks. I feel like I'm not getting much weight training in with this rotation but maybe that is a good thing for now. :rolleyes:

Roxie - Why can't you lay on the floor? I must have missed something.
 
Debbie-this is what has been holding me up from doing a lot of workouts I want to do an there is nothing they can do for it.
 
Hi Girls!

Today on the Peak Fit calendar was Dynamic Flexibility and Core Dynamics.The flexibiity workout was pretty good. Went a little fast for me, but awesome stretches!! Maybe next time being more familiar with it ,it will be better. I did 2 of the 4 core segments too. On the 3rd segment she starts off with saying, "This is a butt burner". Ummm.. my butt HURTS from Pure Strength yesterday!! not going to happen!

Debbie: that is everyone's (and mine) main complaint about STS TB. Lacking tricep work. But yes, it is an awesome workout! gave me HUGE DOMS last week!

Belinda: Regular working weekend for me. How about you? Being near DC , there must be a TON of things there! What will you do? Enjoy TB today!

Roxie: There are so many good standing ab work workouts. Great job today!

Nora: I'[m on week one of Peak Fit. I've done the Fit Test (kind of like Insanity) and the first cardio (Pure Cardio). Pure Cardio has fun moves. It's 50 minutes of different levels of cardio. First she starts off with "basecamp" moves.Then moves it up to "The Ascent"... quickens and changes up the moves. Next is the "Climb". Amps it up even more! And lastly, "Peak" , an all out interval. And then you go back to "Basecamp" . The moves are pretty fun. The intensity gets up there as you move up to the "Climb" and "Peak". The music is ok. IN fact, they played the TF song, "Who's House" in the cardio. The Pure Strength was very different from Cathe. The system comes with this band, VERY tough band. The band work is the toughest. The moves are quicker paced and some combinations. So it's not like Cathe, BIG weights, different reps until your muscle fatigues. It moves quickly through the exercises. I LIKE Michelle as an instructor. She's got good energy. You can't really beat it for the price. I also got it for $70, free S&H. I think it's very much worth it. I don't know anything about the Aeroboxing, so can't really compare it with that. ... I still have to do Cardio Strength and Cardio Interval Burn! I'll let you know. Nora - LOL girl! I wouldn't call myself a legend. But thanks! And when it comes to running for endurance, I guess you can say I'm a couch potato because I hate running for endurance. But hopefully with this program, I'll start to like it a bit more. Maybe if I can do it and KNOW I can do it, it will be a whole different ballgame. And holy crap on the calories you burned yesterday! :eek: Nice job!!!

Belinda - Did you get a stop watch? How did you do with STS today? That was one fun workout.

Roxie - Vertigo? Yikes! That sucks. I thought there were meds for vertigo? I'm sorry you are dealing with that, I know it isn't any fun. :(

Chris - Nice workout! Not quite sure what you are doing, I'm not familiar with it, but it sounds pretty intense. How did you like it other than it going too fast? I hate fast moving stretch or yoga workouts.

Debbie - I am glad you liked STS TB too! Its awesome. Didn't even noticed about the triceps:eek:...at least it's in there! On one of the premixes (can't remember with one) the back wo is missing:p I went to WM and forgot to look for a stop watch, LOL. I will look for on this weekend in Leesburg or DC?
 
Chris - DH madet reservations at the Air Force Base in DC for Monday. I guess, we will watch the fireworks there, lol. Have fun with all that workouts you have planed.

Nora - you burning some mega calories, girl! Fantastic job!

Roxie - Vertigo again, ha? Sorry, to hear that! I agree, never feel those standing ab workouts either, unless I use a 10# med ball:p

That just sucks. Sorry you are dealing with that!

Debbie-when I get back from vacation there is a therapist I can go see that will help me with some exercises to help deal with it, but they require making myself dizzy and keeping my eyes open. Can you think of any good standing ab moves for the lower abdominals?
 
Debbie: Yes, the Peak Fit workouts are really fun to get into for something different. I like them! Today was as intense as you can get on a stretch as you can go!

Belinda: Your monday plans sound very nice! The fireworks should be amazing!

Roxie: Can you sit and do abs? Without going all the way to laying down? You can do V Sits and different versions of V Sits, lifting your legs up one at a time and then both, etc.

Chalean Extreme- Ab Burner= 10 Min
Met Value= 5.0
Calories burned= 68

Total calories burned= 839:cool:

Ok, I even took my dog for a walk today. The first time in a while. The previous times he has been too hyper and pulls me and breaks lead, ugh. Today though, I implemented some of the techniques I've been learning from dog whisperer and that seemed to help tons, YAY! Ok, I'm contemplating two new workouts. PeakFit Challenge and Aerobox Ultimate Cardio and Boxing system. Both look good and got me intrigued. Now if I could just get them to take monopoly money, eh? :p:D Just kidding. I hope everyone has had an awesome workout pushin' play for today!;)

Roxie- Sorry about your vertigo, that sucks. I see you did workout with KCMs 30min to Wts. Chest, Back and Legs plus core work. I'd opt to do standing ab work for awhile until this vertigo thing is a thing of the past. Please take care and keep cool in those temps!;)

Chris- Wow, awesome job with PeakFit Challenge today, yeah I'm very tempted to say the least. ^^^5's on today's workout! :D:cool:
