Good morning,

My sleeping improved big times:p had another good night sleep! Maybe my lack of sleep was overtraining and the stress of DH is retire in May from the military after 31 years:confused: it's gonna be a lot of changes! We will move to the DC area (Harbor Fairy/ Mayland?)?? We still have to sell/rent our house in El Paso:confused: Of one side I am excited, on the other I am scared:( Thanks for letting me vent!

Today I will do cardio, not sure what yet? DD wants to take a Zumba class at the gym? I called the gym, they told me ALL classes cost $5:confused: I am like what? Even the spinning class cost money now:confused: not sure, how long they will do this, people in the miltary like to get classes for free:p

Today was cardio and I chose Cardio Kickbox Challenge by Tracey. I had a really good workout and worked up a good sweat. Really needed this cardio after last week.

Hi ladies. I've been fighting some sort of cruddy sinus crap for a week now. Really really tired of this. I did end up doing biceps yesterday. Meso 3 so 80% (I think I could have gone just a bit heavier, but didn't really have a way to add just 1 pound). All done as 4x8

Dumbbell curls - 17's
Incline curls - 17's
Concentration curls - 17's (struggled on these with left arm)

Did abs from SJP (love that one).

Not sure what I'll do today. I had planned on shoulders/triceps. Our temps are right at 50 and I'd love to run, but running when your nose is either stuffed or running kind of sucks.

Last night I did some cardio. 4DS LIS. Low impact, but fun. Got a good sweat going. I really didn't feel well last night so I'm glad I got something in. I had such bad lower back pain from TTOM that I had flashbacks to back-labor...it was that bad!!! I pulled in the driveway from work and didn't want to get out of the car because the heated seat felt so good...:p Nothin' like a few ibuprofens and a good sweat to make you feel better!!! PUB on tap for tonight. I haven't done that one in a while so I'm looking forward to it.

I ended up doing shoulders/triceps from week 1 of Meso 3 - done as supersets (because separated biceps into own workout) of 4x8

Warmup - Shoulder press - 12 reps - 10's

SS#1
Standing dumbbell front press - 20's
Flat bench triceps extensions - 16's

SS#2
Seated lateral raise - 12's
Seated overhead single-arm extensions - 13 (prob could have done 14 but these sometimes hurt elbow)

SS#3
Seated rear delt flyes - 12's/13's/13's/13's
Double-arm kickbacks (in lieu of lying cross-body kickbacks b/c they hurt elbow) - 13's

I found a half marathon training plan that I think I am going to use and start with this evening. It calls for 2 miles done as intervals.

Melissa - good job with the workout despite the back. Sometimes an easy workout helps. Enjoy PUB!
 
Hi Girls!

Recovery week this week. I psyched myself up to go for a run! The cold is one huge big non-motivator for me. So I really have to talk myself into getting dressed and getting out there. Plus, it's SO much easier to just go downstairs and throw in a workout. But my pep talk perservered and I went to the park and ran for 40 minutes! My legs were jello at the end. Not sure if that was from the cold or the run that I haven't done in a very long time or both? Felt amazing. SO invigorating and I'm in a tremendous mood now!

I should do abs, but , then again, it IS my recovery week. Do you guys do abs on yours?

I looked up your Rotations, Debbie, and think I found a good one, it's "Another Strength Rotation" with cool combos of GS, S&H, CTX, MIS. Looks cool! I think I may do that starting next week.

Belinda: Good to hear your sleeping better! Oh, your DH's retirement sounds like a great adventure! BUt it is hard to change, and those are big changes. That's ridiculous to pay $5 for a class! Geesh!

Debbie: Nice cardio today!!! I remember how you like that one!

Heather: sorry to hear you have the ickie sickies. My nose runs when I feel GOOD when I run outside. Yep, not so great to do it if you're stuffed up already. Amazing you're still doing your workouts and you feel crappy! I loved Meso 3's program. Felt GREAT to lift heavy and controlled too.

Melissa: Holy cow, how did you talk yourself into a workout last night! Hi-5's on that one! Hope you feel better today!

Nora: You're doing Cathe's Jan Rotation? that one looks VERY cool, I was so tempted, but want to keep up with heavier weights for a bit.

Jessica: How exciting you started your job and love it!! Good for you!!! You deserve it after being so miserable at your other job.

Chris - Way to go with the run. I'm starting to enjoy running in the cooler weather (not cold mind you). And my nose seems to run more when I exercise period! As for abs on rest week, I do them.

Alright ladies, I'm so behind on personals! Must adjust to less time for online stuff at work but this stinks! I feel behind on all of you and on my blog friends too! I'll figure it out soon I'm sure but for now, it's weird to miss out on your workout updates all day!! I feel outta the loop! Boo! But good news? I still love the job so that's good right?? I promise to be better with personals once I figure out my new schedule and stuff, I swear!

Real quick - workout this AM (got up despite ANOTHER restless sleep...seriously didn't sleep until almost midnight which is VERY LATE for me!) and did STS legs from M3 - squat rack. A goodie! Feeling it tonight that's for sure! Tomorrow I'm going to face down the dreadmill again...I have no choice or I'll not run at all which would make me SO SAD!!
