Good morning,

Today I will do cardio. I was going to run outside, but we got hit with a lot of snow again:mad: I thought we are done with snow? What's up with that? Did you guys sent it back to us?:p:eek: I hope it's only for a few days? I had it with snow this year. Anyway, I probably will do kickboxing today and on Saturday I need to hit the gym for a run! I also will try to work my abs today, been having a stomach bug all week long.

Today I will post my workout from Monday & yesterday's!

Have a great workout and day, everyone!

Today was cardio and I chose the kickboxing combos from Kickbox Surge by Amy Bento. I wanted to stop at around 45 minutes to get in some ab work but I was having so much fun I ended up doing the whole thing. I'll have to start getting my abs done when I weight train. This rotation allows me time to do that. I'll only get ab work in one time this week.

I don't know why I enjoyed this workout so much this morning, usually I feel like Amy's workouts just drag on, but not this morning. I had energy and just had fun with it.

HR STATS:
58 minutes total
4 minutes below zone
14 minutes in zone
40 minutes above zone
484 calories burned

Long story short - I didn't get home until 7 last night so ended up making it my rest day vs. trying to work out on fumes. It ended up being the right decision because today's interval workout (a new one I found) was awesome!! I burned about 450 cals and ran a total of 4.5 miles done in interval style. Here's how it looked:

45 minutes total

Warm up: 3 minutes easy walk or jog (4 mph)

1st Set

3 minute tempo run (6.5 )
3 minute sprint interval (sprint 1 minute , jog 1 minute, sprint 1 minute) (7.5, 6, 7.5)
3 minute tempo run (6.7)

Recovery: 3 minute walk or jog (4)

2nd Set

5 minute tempo run (6.7)
5 minute sprint interval (sprint 1 min., jog 1 min, sprint 1 min., jog 1 min., sprint 1 min.)
(7.5, 6, 7.5, 6, 7.5)
5 minute tempo run (7)

Recovery: 3 minute walk or jog (4)

3rd Set

3 minute tempo run (7)
3 minute sprint interval (sprint 1 minute, jog 1 minute, sprint 1 minute) (8, 6, 8)
3 minute tempo run (7)

Cool down:

3 minute walk or jog (4)

I finished that with some core work from CF and MAY try to get my last STS in tonight so I can do another cardio push tomorrow (see, my cardio fire is baaack!). But that depends if I get out of work in time - right now i'm waiting out a horrible traffic jam before heading into the office, wasn't gonna sit in traffic for 2 hrs, no thank you!).

Debbie - SO glad you finally had a good cardio workout that you enjoyed! That's awesome! I've never tried that workout, the only one of hers I did try (I forget the name of it), I hated! But this one is good, huh?

Belinda - feel better! And good luck with kickboxing! I'm with you - SO over the snow and the winter! I live in the wrong part of the world, clearly!

Hi to Heather, Nora, Roxie, Melissa and Chris!

Well, today I am supposed to do 4 miles, then an ass-load of intervals. It's starting to sleet so can't do that outside. I may modify and adjust the workout a bit, b/c I just can't fathom doing that many miles on the dreadmill at the freaking gym (where it's hot - Debbie/Chris, pisses me off too).

I still need to do back and chest weights at some point this week too.

Jessica - high 5's on that workout!

Debbie - at least you found one cardio you like right????

Nora - I meant to say the other day, some of those moves from CCC are just awful aren't they?

Chris - how are the legs today????

Roxie - we've got winter weather hitting us today. Ugh.

Hi Melissa and Belinda!!!!!

Good Morning,

I still haven't done a workout this week still had a horrible headache when I got home yesterday. Tonite is Push Pull hopefully I will get it done. I think we ended up with 4 inches of snow yesterday but they did a pretty good job of cleaning the streets this time. I have also lost 2lbs haven't been eating enough just not that hungry.

Belinda-hope you feel better.

Debbie-get those abs worked girl. Sounds like you had a good workout.

Jess-smart decision to wait at home. Good job with your workout.

Heather-keeping my fingers crossed you don't get alot of snow.

Hi Everyone!

Today was cardio and ab day. I did MMA Boxing (with the cool abs on that one, which i love!) and then did Shoulders from Gym Style (burned them out!)

Nora: NICE job on ALL of LIC yesterday! Haven't done that one in a while!

Belinda: We're getting snow too! Sad to be yearning for April in January. It's going to be a LONG few months here!...

Debbie: Glad you enjoyed your cardio today! it's always a plus! :)

Heather: The weather there truly does suck for running. When is the Run you signed up for anyways? Tough time of the year to train! But you are doing great!

Roxie
: Push.Pull is a good one! Hope you feel good enough to do it!

Jessica
: Your Interval run sounds awesome! Good job!

And are you and Melissa ready for MORE snow tonight? We're supposed to get 3-6 more inches AND during the AM commute. Which means..another... snow ..day for .... my crazy boys. I think I may need to start drinking....

Hi all!!

I'm actually on a conference call right now...:p I'm multi-tasking again!

Heated yoga was just okay last night. I'm really trying to love it, but I'm not 100% committed. I have a hard time concentrating and can't stop myself from thinking "I wonder what time it is?".

Chris - more dang friggin' snow... And it's only January. So no, I'm not ready. We have a pile of snow in our front yard that is taller than DH's truck. I don't know where we are going to put tomorrow's snow. The only good thing about snow is that I can work from home if it's too bad or if school is cancelled. So on second thought, maybe I am ready!!! :D

Jessica - did you make it into work today? My commute was an hour and a half. Apparently there were metal shards in the middle of 93S and people were getting flat tires. Some of the traffic had to be due to that water main break though. Hey, good call taking a rest day yesterday! You are getting so much better at listening to your body!!!!

Heather - "ass-load"...heeheehee. You made me laugh. Try to enjoy the dreadmill. I know you won't, but I'm trying to be positive for you!

Hi Nora, Roxie, Debbie & Belinda!!

Okay, as soon as this call is over, I'm heading to the liquor store down the street. Going to a chick-party tomorrow night and we are making this concoction. I don't even know if it has a name, but it has 5 rums and 3 juices. I have to pick up a banana rum (didn't even know they made it) and a coconut rum. Lunch-time shopping at the local liquor store...WOOHOO!!!!

Ok, the snow is coming down, but it's really wet snow. We were told we could leave as we needed and use personal time or take work home. Of course, told this just after I finished a can of split pea soup. Need to let that settle before hitting the dreadmill or it'll be one huge mess

Chris - the race is March 6. It's definitely not a fun time to be trying to train longer distances.

Melissa - glad I could give you a chuckle for the day!!

Well THANK you for noticing - I'm trying very hard to listen to the body even if I want to ignore it's whining ;-)

Yes, I have to go all the way down rt 128 to rt 2 and I knew if I left after that water main broke, I'd be toast. So I left home around 10 and flew into work in about 35 mins, which was awesome! And I got to eat breakfast at home and do a little work/blogging which made it sooo worth it.

I am definitely working from home tomorrow, not worth the hassel to get into work with the snow! no thank you!

Hi girls,

I'm back for personals.

Belinda- Sorry your having stomach trouble. I hope that kickboxing today was fun and not too much on your stomach. Please take care.;)

Debbie- Awesome fun workout today for you with Amy Bento Kickbox
Surge, that's a fun workout. Great job on today's workout! ;):)

Jessica- Killer interval workout you did with running. I have to say those are some really nice paces your running at too. I have to back off a bit because of my knees and ankle issues, damn~ Congrats on a super fun killer workout today, WTG!!;)

Heather- WTG on your training for the half-marathon. I hope you had a great 4 mile run with all the ass-load of intervals. You and Jessica are braver and tougher than me. My hat is off to you both, Bravo!:)

Roxie- Gees you guys are getting hit with snow alot back there, I know that's no fun to drive in. Be careful please! You have a great workout planned with Push Pull, get 'r done Roxie. Please take care of yourself and don't skip meals, it never leads to anything good.;):)

Chris- Wow! It sounds like you had an awesome workout today with MMA Boxing and then GS Shoulders. What an excellent combo, WTG on your workout, its da bomb!;)

Melissa- I have to say good for you if your liking the heated yoga thing. I know that with my MS compromised balance yoga with eyes closed would not be a good option and neither would the heated yoga thing. People with MS are very heat sensitive. I tend to get dizzy, loose strength or ability to move legs when I get too warm. Its like being weighed down with lead and having an elephant on your chest while trying to breath and not make a fool out of myself by falling. Lets just say its not a pretty sight, by any means and gracefullness is so not even in the picture. LOL!! Before MS. I'd be wanting to try heated yoga, but not now. I still think yoga is a worthwhile thing even if its not heated. All that stretching is fab to integrate in after a strength workout. Excellent workout~:)

Ok, girls that's it for me tonight. Have a great evening and a good night's rest. ^^^5's on today's workout girls, WTG!:D
