CRAZY STRONG & LOVING IT FOR DEC 6, 2010

Good morning,

Today I will do Back/Chest super sets! Can't wait to start:eek:

This week is supersets and today I did Chest and Back. Had a great workout. Next week I change the exercises and o another 4 weeks. Loving this!

1 minute rest between each warmup set.

WARMUP:
Double Are Dumbbell Row - 15's/12 reps
SS w/
Pushups - 12 reps

1 minute 30 second rest between each superset.

SS #1
Barbell Bench Press - 90#/8 reps - 3 sets
ss w/
Overhand Barbell Rows - 80#/8 reps - 3 sets
***With the increase in weight this was a tough superset. Felt very strong, though.

SS #2
Incline Dumbbell Press - 35's/10 reps - 3 sets
ss w/
One-Arm Rows - 35#/10 reps - 3 sets

SS #3
Flat Bench Dumbbell Flyes - 30's/12 reps - 3 sets
ss w/
Pullovers - 30#/12 reps - 3 sets
***Upper body was shaking by this point. This was a good superset.

Didn't do cardio, just didn't feel much like it. I was sweating buckets with this superset workout so I figured that was good enough. :D
 
Ok so I'm a total loser when it comes to checking in on the weekends now. I did get in my workouts. I tried to run for the first time in a week on Saturday. I managed 1 pain-free mile then my knee got a little twinge so I stopped immediately. I went home and did the low HIIT segment from Intensity. Loved it, but I think it actually bothered my IT band more. Yesterday I did chest. Holy double wave load on the chest press. I followed that up with MMA Kickboxing. Again, going to have to drop that one for the time being. My leg was killing me after.

Chest press (DBs) - 12,10,8,12,10,8 - 25's (said to stay at 70% for this one)
Chest flyes - 12,10,8 - 21's
Incline DB press - 12,10,8 - 26's
Incline flyes - 12,10,8 - 21's

Oh and yes, I've got chest DOMS going on.

Holy Crap, Debbie:p:eek: I was sweating buckest, it sure got my HR up! Awesome workout! Love it! That was one quick workout, loved it!

Heather - glad you listen to your body! Give it a few more day's before you go for a run. Nice job, with your workouts this weekend;)

Good Afternoon,

Late checkin I am trying to get the workout manager loaded for the rest of the month. I am going to do Cathes Dec 09 rotation. Tonite is DM cardio and since I don't like that one I am going to do KCMs KBXing, also suppose to do 30 pushups and Turbo Fire Core 20 also want to do TF Stretch 10.

Debbie-awesome wts.

Heather-take it easy on that knee sounds like you may need a dr. visit.

Belinda - Excellent workout, girl! I'm glad you are liking this one. I'm enjoying it too. Had fun only doing about 40 minutes this morning. Excellent weights, too! You rock!!!

Heather - What workout did you do for chest or was it something you did on your own? Looks brutal! Nice job. Sorry your knee is still bothering you. I can related!

Roxie - Hope you have an excellent workout tonight!

Ok ladies, I'm sitting here sweating. And not because I just worked out (I have a run and STS chest/shoulders/tri's on tap for this afternoon/night) but because I'm about to give my notice at work. I just sent my boss a note to catch up because I GOT THE JOB I was waiting on!!!! I am SO EXCITED, and it honestly hasn't quite even hit me fully yet. I am stunned. The offer is WAY more than I even expected and it's like a dream come true to be starting the new year with a NEW job at LAST. Ahhhh!!!

Now if only I could stop sweating about telling my boss who I can promise you is going to FLIP out. Ahhhhhh.

Jess-don't sweat it you have been miserable there and now you get a chance to go somewhere you really want to be congratulations.
 
Back from lunch workout - went with just shoulders from M2D19. This one has that wonderful double wave thing that is at 70% of 1Rm and the other exercises are 75%

Front shoulder press: 12,10,8,12,10,8 - 15's
Standing side lateral raise: 12,10,8 - 11's
Prone incline rear raise: 12,10,8 - 10's

I will hit the elliptical for 30 mins after work then home to stretch and use the foam roller on my IT band.

Debbie - that chest workout was M2D19. I'm doing STS starting with M2 rather than the beginning and breaking out the muscle groups for time management.

Roxie - The only thing the doc would do would send me to a PT who would just stretch and massage the IT band. I'm already doing that now. Of course, if I see no results, that'll be my next step.

I still can't even believe it. I might run on the clouds this afternoon, for real. I don't even care that it's like 25 degrees outside ;)

OMG! When do you start your new job??? OMG! I am so thrilled for you!

I'm hoping to give notice tomorrow, work up until Christmas and then give myself a buffer week between Christmas and the new year, starting Jan 2 or 3 in the new job. Talk about awesome timing huh???

PS. I just went for a short run and nearly froze to death. I didn't realize QUITE how cold it was. BRRR. After dinner I have a 70 min STS workout that looks like it might damn well kill me, but I LOVE that kind of weight workout!!

I'm telling ya, we really ARE crazy, strong and loving it if we can LOL about a 70 min weight workout huh??

I was able to do 200 different crunches and 30 pushups. Went with DH to another town and then to Cracker Barrel for supper.

Jess-you are one crazy woman its freezing outside.

I just finished my workout for today, I know its late but I got a late start on it. But I have to say I did STS Total body and used it with my Power Tower for the first time as well and LOVED IT!! What a great and challenging workout and left me a sweaty mess, great stuff Cathe, thumbs up!;)

Here's today's workout:

STS Total Body Phase 4 - Isolation and compound= 66 Min
Met Value= 6.0
Calories burned= 541

Jillian Michaels-iFit Card-Lose wt. (Power Walk) week#2 prog#1= 20 Min
Calories burned= 151
Distance= 1.20

Total Calories burned from today's workout= 692
I swear I sweated up a storm and deserved everyone of those calories burned today. There definitely was no phoning in the workout on STS Total Body. Love it!!!

I think I'll come back later for personals. I'm in desperate need of a shower and dinner first though. BBL!

Belinda- Excellent job on your Chest & Back weight work today. OMG! You started Insanity, I saw that you did the Fit Test, I know that is killer. I did one entire rotation as Shaun T has written it to be done, and its tough I had to be sure to modify by keeping knees soft during the impact stuff, but it was fun! You go girl, keep on rockin' those workouts!:);):cool:

Debbie- You never fail to wow me with your awesome kick butt weight work. You are the queen of weights as far as I'm concerned and you make some killer workout rotations to boot. I hate to sound like a broken record but you rocked that workout, WTG girl!!!:D:cool:

Heather- Sorry that your knee is not feeling normal and hurting you. You did get a 1 mile run in but unfortunately your knee decided it was not happy about running, sorry I know that sucks. Please be careful and take it easy on any leg intensive work that may agravate your knee. Its very good you listend to your body and stopped when the knee started to hurt that was good. I know how annoying training injuries are to deal with and work around I feel your pain. I've had knee issues in the past with running. I am currently dealing with a right ankle ligament strain re-injury this is so not fun. Oh well, I can still workout I just have to modify and be very careful with that right ankle. Hang in there and maybe ice your knee before and after a workout and listen to your body it will let you know if there's a problem. BTW Nice job on your Chest workout with weights.;) Take care and be well.;)

Roxie- Nice work with changing up the workouts to what is evermore fun for you to do, WTG!!! Keep it up!;):) WTG on crunches and pushups, your rockin' those Roxie.:)

Jessica- CONGRATS!!! I'm so happy for you that you got a new job. I know its been just terrible at your current job so this is the best news for you. Excellent to start off the new year with a new job, Congrats Hugs! Now, you have the task of giving notice to your current job. Ugh, been there done that, not fun but just know you have something better waiting around the corner. I wish you all the best and send you cyber hugs of congrats on this excellent and welcomed great news.:D:eek::cool: I also hope that your current boss takes your giving notice better than you anticipate. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that things go as well as can be expected. Just think how great you'll feel to wake up in the morning when you start your new job and be filled with excitement and happiness. That's such a change and one you truly deserve. You went for a run today as well in the freezing temps! Woman you are crazy, or just delirious with joy about a new job and leaving your icky one. I bet you didn't even feel the temps running with a huge smile on your face, I bet that run felt awesome. Then a 70 min STS session to boot, you go girl!;):)
