Crazy, strong & loving it for April 23 - 29, 2012

Just a quick update on DH! Surgery went well. His surgery around 5:30 pm last night (was scheduled for 2:30pm:confused:). He was in the recovery room until 10:45 pm. Aleisa and I didn't get home until after midnight, drive was amost 2 hours ...the traffic was great:confused: I will keep you all updated.

Thanks for all your prayers! I am so thankful that everything went well.I will catch up on my workouts on Sunday, doesn't look like I will get anything in today or tomorrow?
 
Today was total body with cardio in between each set. I had a most awesome workout! I ended up clocking in 1.5 miles on my treadmill with the 1 minute 30 second jogs I did in between my sets. Burned an extra 160 calories as well! :woohoo:

2 sets/12 reps with 1:30 min. rest between each set.

So I ended up doing two jog/sprints with each set and then rested about a minute between each new exercise.

Upright Rows - 45#

Leg Press Station - 145#

Flat Barbell Bench Press - 75#

Alternate Hammer Curls - 15's

Bench Dips - Body Weight

Dumbbell Pullovers - 20#

Fun stuff, I like this kind of workout.

Chris - I had a scheduled rest day yesterday because I had to be at work at 7 a.m. :eek: So today I made up for missing it!
 
Good Morning,

I went to the gym for my first PT session and today we got to know each other and she asked what my goals are and what I want out of her, I didn't much care for her scale though it said I was 8lbs heavier then the one at home. I would really love to do some sessions with her but its 269.00 for 3 months 2 times a week. I came home and did KCM's CB #2 and tonite I want to go for a spin class.

Debbie-what do you think of the PT sessions? I thought I was doing so good with your rotation and being consistent in my workouts now I just feel fat. Do you think this is a good price or worth the money?

Belinda-glad to hear DH is doing fine.

Nora-hope your DH is better.

Belinda: Thanks for the update on your DH. Sorry it was such a long day! Over the big bump , now on the road to recovery. Hope it's fast and he feels better very soon.

Debbie: I think that is so cool to run sprints on the TM between weights. :cool: Nice weights today!!

Roxie: I think I am very leary of PT's. Not sure why. I would rather go to someone that was recommended to me or someone I knew. But that's me. I'm curious to see what Debbie thinks! Nice job on the KCM workout last night!

Nora: Oh my gosh! Sorry to hear about your DH. to me it sounds like he's very allergic something. What did the ER docs think? Definitely will need to follow up with that. Poor thing! .. And wow on fixing the computer!! That is awesome you could figure it out. I hate HATE computer issues!! ... AMAZING wrkouts as always!! Love the sound of ALL of them!!!! I did Ab Ripper X today, thought of you! But I guess you found a new toughie! LOL!;)

So yes, I did Ab Ripper X , after cardio step only from BM2. Those blasts at the end! Sweaty MESS, I was!
 
Hi girls!;)

I had to go with DH to a Doctor's appointment so that through off my workout time I had scheduled but I was determined to stick with getting the workout done as planned today and not let myself get off track. So, I'll just check in now.

Here's today's workout:

For this I used Cardio Coach Volume 3 revised and used a Treadmill this time.

Time= 45Min
Distance= 3.09 Miles
Calories Burned= 553

AVG BPM= 151= 84% MHR

This was surprising for me because my knees have been bugging me a little bit lately particularly my right one, but I wore my runner's knee strap thingys on each knee and ran and felt ok. So, I'm counting that workout as a success because I've not been running on the treadmill in a couple of months because of knee and low back issues but feeling good. I think Coach Sean's Cardio Coach workouts are just magical in how he can get you to dig deep even bigger than you ever thought you could and got it done. Plus you feel so great afterwards and the music throughout is awesome and the cool down is heaven, love it! RIP Coach Sean, thanks for the workout today.

That's it for me just now, but I will be back this time for personals, no really!:D

I had finished all my feedback to personals and need to type one more thing before hitting submit and lost it all.:(:confused: I tried to recover it but lost it so I'll just say I did type personals for each of you and had you in my thoughts but damn computer lost it.:mad: I'm sorry, but my hands are now too numb feeling and weak to redo it. Great job on all your workouts, impressive job ladies. Belinda so happy your DH's surgery was a success, I'm sure your relieved. Many blessings and prayers in his recovery back to health.

Roxie - What are the PT sessions?

Nora - Just a note: when I type a lot of stuff I'll copy it first before I hit submit and then if for some reason I lose connection or it doesn't post I can just past it back in and submit it again. I've lost so many posts on another forum that I'm on and I just started doing that with all my posts. So maybe the next time you type a long reply, just copy it first. :D Sorry you lost all that!
 
Oh I HATE losing stuff! And I usually do what you do, Debbie, copy. But the time I forget, I lose it. :mad:

We know you're thinking of us, Nora! ... What did the doctor say about your DH? Hope it's nothing long term, and just something quick they can fix. AWESOME job with CC. I should really get a few of the CC workouts.

Today was Yoga. I did Kelly Coffey Meyer's TLC Boxing for 25 minutes to warm up my muscles and then did Turbo Fire Stretch 40 , for 30 minutes! Both were awesomely therepeutic!!! Punching like crazy and then stretching like crazy! AH!

I did my workout much earlier today, but got sidetracked with other stuff so that kept me from check in until now.

Here's today's workout:

Les Mills Pump- Pump & Shred= 48 Min
Met Value= 6.50
Calories burned= 426

Turbo Fire - Fire 30 Class= 33 Min
Met value= 8.50
Calories burned= 383

Wow, what a workout. I love TF and the absolute fun factor, it has always been a fun workout for me and I find I do reach for these often. Love the FIYAH!!

Total calories burned= 809;)

Debbie-Thanks for the tip, I'll have to start doing that everytime. I hope your having a great weekend. ;):)

Chris- DH's doctor said that he felt this was more of a viral thing and for him to finish his methyprednisolone, keep on his Zyrtek, and take the prescribed Zantac for anyt stomach discomfort, and that he could take tylenol for any fever or ache issues. He has an appointment for next Friday morning but there appears to be no quick fix for his hives situation. The doctor said that hives can last a couple of day, weeks, months and it depends on the individual. It apparently will last as long as it needs to run its course then things will settle down. In the meantime we stick with what we know helps like Aveeno collodial oatmeal soap and bath soak. Keep him cool, and apply Aveeno collodial oatmeal moisturizing lotion to any itchy areas and clear caladryl and all those work. It won't make the hives disappear forever but it keeps them from being inflamed and angry reducing them greatly. So it helps to manage them and make it much more comfortable for him, and any relief is welcome. Ok, about your workout today, nice mix of different things. I love KCM's Circuit Blast and her TLC love the boxing workouts, they are da bomb. I see you did yoga and Turbo Fire Stretch, all awesome stuff there girlfriend. I bet the yoga and stretch felt good after a long day. WTG on your awesom workout!!:);):cool: Yes, and I'm taking yours and Debbie wise advice about copying my posts before I submit so I will not loose them anymore. That is such a headache. Good Morning,

Sorry I was MIA but since the personal training session and finding out what my wt was I kind of got depressed and discouraged almost packed up my workout dvds and equipment and then Saturday DH and I were having problems so the weekend hasn't been very good. Today its raining so I will do some yoga and maybe the treadmill.
