Crazy, Strong & Loving It for 5/20

Today was STS Meso 3, Disc 35, Plyo Legs. Had a pretty good workout but my right knee popped when I was doing the tuck jumps. I was doing good with them too. Got to rep 20 and POP! It hurt for a few minutes, I worked it out and finished the workout. It's not hurting at all now so not sure what that was all about?

Love these leg workouts from STS. They are fun and just fly by.
 
Hi ladies - today might be a rest day. Not really sure. It's raining/storming. Not sure I can muster the "want to" for a long indoor cardio session. We'll see.

Debbie - yikes on the knee. Hope it's nothing. Mine does pop from time-to-time actually. It feels like it gets locked then I have to pop it. Like a ligament or something perhaps?

Roxie - did you guys get hit with any bad storms yesterday?
 
Hey girls!

This morning I did Physique 57 workout , which is leg/barre work. And abs. KILLED my lower body. Shaking, burning, etc! YAY! LOL!

Afterwards went to the park for a run (40 minutes). It is THE best running weather out today. Loved it. And when I got tired, (which I did), a good song would come on (Linkin park) and push me the rest of the way!

Debbie: NICE job on Plyo today! I also love those workouts. The combination of weights and those weight bearing blasts are amazing!.. Glad your knee is ok! Be careful!

Heather: You are due for a rest day, so take it! Whatever is best for you, right? How are you feeling after those crazy weights you did yesteerday?

Nora: You continue to inspire me with your INSANE (!!) workouts! ;) BBL is pretty cool. Just keep it in mind for the future. It'll always be there when you're ready!

*waves* to Melissa (how did STS go?), Jessica (hope you got some sleep!) and Roxie (bummer about the DVD player!! that must have made you :mad:)

Nora - Nice combination of workouts yesterday! Nice calorie burn, too. You are kicking some butt, that's for sure!!! Nice to see your energy in here every day! You always brighten my day!

Heather - Did you see my response yesterday about your splits? Did that help much? Are you going to make up another rotation for yourself?

Chris - LOVE Linkin Park! That group rocks. I have all their CD's and wish they'd come out with more. Nice workout. Hope your back burning doesn't mean you hurt it!

Chris - yay on the run! I would love to get out and run today - most likely b/c I can't LOL. My shoulder are seriously feeling the weight work. Biceps and tris some. I had hoped for more in the legs. And how crazy does that sound? Hope for more DOMS... LOL

I'm due for a rest day either today or tomorrow. I do have more time today to get the cardio done. I may just go for a 40 min SB premix. We'll see how I feel after work.

Debbie - I did, and thank you. What I was trying to do is another rotation that included 2 workouts with legs. I like splitting up the legs like I have with this rotation. Less daunting than saying "leg day." :eek:
 
Hi ladies! Checking in a little late this AM, sorry about that!

I'm a little torn on a workout today - I probably SHOULD take a rest day today because my calves are SO tight from Imax 3 two days ago (not from Power/Ride yesterday, oddly) BUT it's GORGEOUS out today and I would love to get a run in after work with the hubs. We were planning a run tomorrow AM too since we're in such a nice stretch so it'll be tough if I have to take a rest day today when I REALLy, REALLY want to run. Ahh, decisions, decisions.

Heather - feeling your indecision on the rest day, clearly!

Chris - Physique 57 - is that sort of similar to Core Fusion classes (and the DVDs they now produce)? I have done that class before at Exhale and LOVED it even though I'm so inflexible its not even funny, its all the core work and butt work I loved most of all. How do you like it? Great job on that run afterwards too!!

Debbie - OWW, your knee popped up during those jumps? Be careful, that doesn't sound very good to me! :/

Good Afternoon,

Been busy here at work never can understand why when the weather is crappy people get out and about. It is still raining here non-stop for 2 days now getting alittle depressing. Tonite I am going to try to get Supersets in I have to use my laptop instead of dvd player until DH gets home to fix it. Then if I have time I need to do TJ Fat Blaster it is going to take the place of STS cardio that I don't have.

Debbie-hope your knee isn't messed up didn't sound good.

Jessica-take a rest day you deserve it.

LOLOL you crack me up. Fine, point taken. But I STILL don't like it. WHY do I have such a hard time taking a rest day???

I did get my workout in today just slightly later than I planned but still not too bad time of day wise.

Here's today's workout:

Insanity- Max Recovery = 50 Min
Calories burned= 751 that's intense and that was a recovery workout!:p

STS Ab Circuits- Med ball abs= 10 min
Calories burned= 61

Total calories burned= 812:cool:

Debbie- You did STS Meso 3, Disc 35, Plyo Legs today! Bravo, you are so right plyo legs in the STS series is so much fun and goes so quickly. I'm glad you're enjoying it! Great workout for you today, well done!:cool::)

Heather- If its too yucky outside to run today either do something else or call this a rest day. I saw yesterday's workout you did and I'd opt for the rest day. Enjoy your day!

Chris- You did an interesting workout today with Physique 57 then a nice run. Bravo, for mixing it up like that. The closest thing I have to Physique 57 is Fluidity and The Bar Method, both are great. I haven't done them in a while though. I've been concentrating on cardio and strength building and definition. Great workout today for you, I love the toning and the cardio with running and the awesome weather can't be bad either. Sounds like a truly fun workout day for you, and that's what its all about! WTG!!! Thanks for the kind words and encouragement on my workouts, I deeply appreciate them.;) BBL does look good and I'll keep that in mind and on the back burner. I'm still so psyched for Turbo Fire, not sure if I should get the regular package of it or the Deluxe, or how much the deluxe will cost. Take care!;)

Jessica- Nothing wrong with taking a rest day. I know you probably are thinking I could just fit in a nice short run or something because it just feels unnatural to not workout. I feel that same way too, but your body does need the rest to be able to kick butt tomorrow and the day after.

Roxie- Believe me I feel your pain about crappy rainy weather, I'm in Oregon and know what you mean very well. Oh, I just remembered the other STS HiiT style workout that I have that is not STS that you may have as well Its by Kelly Coffey-Meyer, "Cardio Blast" . There are two workouts on there Workout 1 is Athletic Step= 35 min, Workout 2 is Plyometrics= 37 Min. The premixes are: Step Plyo Blast= 41 min and Step Plyo Blast Plus= 49min. Plus the other you know would be Turbo Jam Fat Blaster, all of which are good and fun to do. Great work today on TJ Fat Blaster that is a fun one and will make you sweat. I love Chalene's fun music and energy its so contagious, love it!! Take care!;)
