Crazy, Strong & Loving It 5/27

Today was legs and I did STS Meso 2, Disc 14, Triset Legs. Had a great workout. Love the STS leg workouts. I never get tired of them.

I think after next week when this rotation is over I'll take a few extra days off and then I'll start STS over again. I'm itching to do it again.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the trisets in M2!! I'm jealous, hehe. ;)

I'm actually thinking of doing another STS rotation soon too, to keep the body guessing and all. We'll see!

I had a great run this morning with my husband - we ran about 4.2 miles and it really put me in the right place for the day. I'm SO SO SO glad the long weekend is almost here though, not gonna lie!

Hope everyone else is working it out hard too (and you'll be glad to know that I *did* rest yesterday, even though I didn't wanna, ha!).

PS. Melissa - did you cut your hair off??

Ok, really feels like Friday.... I got up and did one of the premixes from SB (40 mins). I should do weights today at some point. It is the last workout from my 8-week rotation! Woohoo!!

Debbie - glad you had a great workout this morning.

Jessica - very proud of you for resting and I am sure that helped your run this morning.

Melissa - Maybe do push pull? biceps one day, triceps the next, then back, chest, legs, shoulders? Just an idea.

Nora - how's your knee?

Roxie - what do you have on tap for today?

Chris - are you running or butt lifting (or both)???? I guess you're liking that series?

Good morning ladies!!

Jessica - Sounds like you are in a good frame of mind for the day!! And yes, I got ALOT of hair cut off. It was down to my shoulders, now it's just above chin length, a little wedged in the back and then she took her thinning shears and texturized the ba-geeba's out of it. I love it!!

Heather - Congrats on completing your rotation. And thanks for the input on the workout order. I will do just that.

Hi Debbie, Belinda, Nora, Chris & Roxie....:)

I just decided that I'm taking a 1/2 day today. HA!! Take that boss-man...

Good Morning,

I am going for a walk tonite and I still need to do KCMs BC and abs. For some reason I just don't want to do wts. right now.

Debbie-good job with your workout.

Jessica-yeah on the rest day you deserve one every once in awhile.

Heather-good job on your workout and congrats on finishing your rotation did you see good results?

Melissa-enjoy your half day off. I can't wait for this 3 day weekend.

OHH! I love it! I think a picture is in order :)

Roxie - enjoy your walk at least! Yes, I saw good upper results and much better lower body results with the way I set the rotation up this time around. I was able to increase my strength and go up with my weights too.

Hey everyone!

This morning I did the first part of Physique 57, minus the abs (33 minutes). Can I just say AGAIN that workout burns the CRAP out of my thighs, especially quads!!!! I almost want to cry! I skipped the abs (did Tummy Tuck yesterday) and then put in Plyo Legs Disc 26 and did ALL the plyo moves (no weights). WooT WooT!!!! that was KIND OF fun (kind of).

Nora: Glad your legs are feeling better. Good thing you are in Oregon , then. For the cooler climate. I can only imagine how your legs would feel in the heat. Nice job yesterday!!

Debbie: I really enjoy STS too. I'm missing upper body with this current rotation. I mean I DO it, but not like STS DOING it. I have to take a rest week the second week of June (going to Washington DC with my son's 8th grade class for the week), so MAYBE after that. Maybe. I still like working on my theory of toning/no weights for lower body/running to tone out the lower half. Decisions Decisions! LOL!

Heather: That was a good long rotation for you!!! Great going! SB is a good sweaty workout!!! nice job!!! Did you decide what you're doing next? i know you were working on something.

Jessica: Very proud of you for taking a rest day yesterday!! And yes, I bet that run was even better because of it!

Roxie: Maybe go with some light weights/high reps workout? just to shake it up a bit and do something you'd WANT to do.

Melissa: Northeast MA. I went to college at Fitchburg State and knew a few people from there too. YEARS ago, though! LOL!. My sister lives in Norwood, outside of Boston, too.

Did you guys, Melissa and Jessica, have big storms last night? Around midnight we had a HUGE thunderstorm roar through. The wind was CRAZY, lots of downed trees and my youngest son's school is closed today because of a tree and no electricity.

Chris - I have not decided what to do next. I think Sunday I'll do Pyramid Upper then Pyramid Lower on Monday then one day next week the premix that has both upper and lower. Then I'll be on vacation so no weights for a week. So I have 2 weeks to figure something out!

Hey Chris. We had some really strong winds in my area last night around 11:00, then some thunderstorms rolled through. I felt really bad when I went into the kitchen this morning and the cat was at the window meowing to come in. I had no idea she was outside all night... Your son must be psyched that school was closed!! Did you lose power at your house or have any tree damage? I hope not...

Nora - I hope your legs are feeling better. Good for you for moderating your workouts. I think doing Insanity for a long period of time can start to get taxing on the body. Be careful, my friend!:)

Jessica - Nice job on your 4.2 mile run. Very impressive. See what a rest day can do you for you? Glad you listened to us!

Heather - Wow! You are already done with that rotation. What will you do next?? Have you decided yet? Never mind, I just read what you responded to Chris with. At least you have two weeks to figure it out.

Melissa - I bet your hair looks great! We'll need to see a picture of it soon!

Roxie - I wonder why you have no desire to lift anymore? Maybe your body just needs a break in that department. That's how I was with cardio about a month ago. Give it time, I'm sure your desire will come back.

Chris - Nice workout this morning!! You go girl!! Funny how you said it was fun (sort of)!! I so know what you mean!

Chris/Melissa - I definitely think we need to plan a meet-up now that I know you are both nearby! How cool!!

Nora - just catching up on the check-in from yesterday, I had no idea you have MS, I am THAT MUCH MORE amazed and inspired by you!! Incredible.

Debbie-it so disappoints me that I can't get into them I have alot of family stuff coming up and I wanted to look good.

Since one boss is at lunch and the other one took the day off I managed to do 200 crunches, best use of my time I think.

What is it about it that is making you not want to do it? The thought of heavy lifting or the thought of endurance or both? Maybe do something out of the ordinary, like circuit workouts. Just something different. Just some thoughts. Hope you get over this hump soon!

Sometimes I think its because I can't lift as heavy as the rest of you and I get disappointed in myself and I just enjoy cardio more but I know I need the wt. work. I guess I just find it boring and tedious.

Well, I know I preach heavy weight lifting but it's not for everyone. And there's nothing wrong with doing circuit type workouts or endurance type workouts. The key is to lift SOMETHING. Your body needs resistence against the muscles to make change - whether it's light or heavy. Anything is better then nothing. And don't compare what you lift to what some of us lift. It's not a necessity to lift extremely heavy and sometimes I think I over do it. Take a look at Oxygen magazine. Most of the routines in there are for light to moderate weights with high reps. Nothing wrong with that. I think the most important thing is to do what makes you enjoy the workout. If it's something you are struggling with and don't look forward to doing, then it's no fun and of course you aren't going to want to do it.

Oh girl - do not compare weights!!! I agree with Debbie all the way. Do what you like to do not what you think you have to do b/c someone else is doing it. I always did circuit and muscle endurance and got burned out and then discovered that I preferred the heavier lifting - but that's totally just me.

I know I don't lift anywhere near like Debbie (or even Belinda), but I just do what I can do.

Just have fun!!

Hallo girls,

Sorry, I haven't checked in a few days! I am in St. Joseph's Candler hospital in Savannah, Ga since yesterday. I was having problems again with my ears. I saw an ENT doctor Wednesday, not sure where in Georgia? I had a temperature from over 102 , both my ears were swollen (they still are!). Had fluid coming out. The ENT doctor admitted me to the hospital right away, the doctor was afraid the infection went in my bones, since my entire face was hurting/plus the high temperature. My chest was also hurting when I was breathed. He ordered an x-ray to make sure I didn't had pneumonia. I also had a cat scan which showed I had an inner/outer ear infection plus a sinus infection. I just couldn't pick one, I had to pick all .The blood tests still haven't come in, the doctor is not sure if I have a fungus infection or a vital infection! He is treating me for both right now.

I have been on an IV and antibiotics around the clock. The doctor said I have to stay in the hospital a week or so? We had to change our flight . The biggest thing that borders me is, I can’t take my DD to DC the end of this month. This is a great hospital; they are taking good care of me. Everyone is so nice and helpful, I am not used to being so pampered, LOL!

BTW, I did went for a 3 mile run on Sunday in Florida, after that everything went down the hill for me!

My best to all!
