Crazy, Strong & Loving It 5/21

Today was cardio and I chose StrikeZone. Had a fairly good workout but could still feel something weird in my right knee. Kind of hard to describe. This workout really doesn't get my HR up there, I think the highest I hit was 142 bpm. But I still worked up a good sweat.

I also did the Ab Work from Kick, Punch & Crunch since I missed doing it on Wednesday.

HR STATS - not including ab work:
50 minutes total
9 minutes below zone
27 minutes in zone
15 minutes above zone
364 calories burned.

Taking my mom to lunch and shopping. She has to get ready for her surgery in June and needs good soft shoes and stuff like that.

Have a great Friday everyone!

Good Morning,

Suppose to be a beautiful day here so I am going to go for a walk and then do KCMs KB since I don't have MMA Fusion.

Debbie-have fun with mom today and good job getting those abs done.

Hi ladies! Well, rest day was well worth it yesterday (despite my moaning and groaning about it) so thank you for pushing me to rest. I appreciate it :)

To thank you all, I had a GREAT early morning run with my husband, we ran about 4, maybe 4.2 miles and it was the exact right way to start the day. I feel energized and ready to get this workday OVER with so we can start enjoying the weekend where the weather is supposed to be really gorgeous! I love it!

Debbie - enjoy the day with your mom! hope its a gorgeous sunny day!

Roxie - same to you on enjoying a gorgeous day (can you tell I'm in a good mood given the weather we're having in my neck of the woods??)

Good morning ladies,

I am still here;) Yesterday DH and I went for a 30 min run in New Orleans, let me tell you, it was hot and muggy:confused: We are in Pensacola, leaving for Tampa today, visiting his mother. I will not do Insanity on the road with DD sleeping like a beauty queen. :p DH and I went for a 40 min run today, I am a sweaty mess! From Tampa we are driving to Orlando, than to another part of Flordia, than to Georgia for a day or two. We will drop off DD in DC, DH and I will drive back to Georgia and fly out from Atlanta. I need a vacation after all this driving.

My best to all. I will check in again from Tampa.
BTW, great workouts ladies!

Hi ladies. Yesterday I ended up running 5 miles after work. It was sunny and I just could not bare to do an inside workout. It was my first solo run in ages. I promised myself 1 lap (1.5 miles), after that I just kept going. I seriously could have done 3 laps (6 miles) but decided to reel it in after 5 miles. I really had intended for an easier cardio LOL. It felt really good though and totally cleared my head.

Is that runner's high???? I was not in any way euphoric mind you. But maybe runner's high is different for different people? Hmmm, blog post perhaps....

Oh, and today is a rest day. YAY!!!

Debbie - yikes on the knee. That's not good. Be careful (I know you will though). Hope you have a good day with your mom.

Roxie - enjoy your walk!

Jessica - um - told ya so ;)

Belinda - I'm exhausted hearing about all that driving LOL!! Hope you're enjoying yourself though.

Hi Chris, Nora, and Melissa!!!!!!

Debbie-I have a question for you, last night while doing chest flys on the stability ball I felt it more in my right shoulder than in my chest what did I do wrong?

Jessica-glad you enjoyed your rest day.

Heather-enjoy your rest day.

Belinda-driving sounds exhausting good job on the run.

Okay people, I officially declare today "TO NICE OUTSIDE TO WORK" day. Unless you work outside of course. If only I had that kind of power...:(

Sounds like everyone is in a good mood today. I'm in a good mood until I look out the window!!

Last night was CCV4. Tonight is STS M1 D2.

Belinda - nice to hear from you!! Sounds like you are getting alot of running in...

Debbie - enjoy your day with your mom!

Jessica - you gave me a little chuckle last night when I was reading through yesterday's thread about your rest day. Glad to see you caved!!!

Heather - don't ya love being able to throw out an "I told ya so!!". hehehe.. Enjoy your rest day!

Roxie - enjoy the beautiful weather!

Hi Nora and Chris...:D

Hey Girls...

Today is cardio day for me as well. I had big plans for a cardio at home, and then a run. BUT... I start feeling crunched for time when I spend all that time on workouts. And that seems to be stressing me out more than wanting to go for a run. PLUS, the weather is supposed to be nice for a good long stretch here, so I'll have ample running opportunities next week.

Knowing me, I'll be all disappointed I didn't run by this afternoon. LOL!

My indoor cardio ended up being Tracey Staehle's Cardio Kickbox Challenge, the 40 minute premix.

NICE and sweaty!

That one gets ya!

Great to hear from you Belinda!!! How cool (not literally) you get to run in different states!!!

Debbie: Lighter cardios are good too!!! Esp when you're knee is weird.

Jessica: I know exactly how you struggled with rest day vs. run yesterday! TOTALLY! Nice that you got to run today. How do you measure your runs in miles?

Heather: How do YOU measure your runs? I usually just run for "time" not miles. I've never measured them. Enjoy REST today!.... Good point. Maybe runners highs are different for different people. I seriously want to shout out "LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL" when I get it. Everything around me seems so clear and crisp and gorgeous. Like being HIGH, it really is. For me!

Roxie: Good choices today for workouts! Oh, it sounds like you went to low with your chest flies. (sorry, I'm not debbie, but thought I'd pipe in!)

*waves* to Melissa and Nora...

gotta get my errands done!!!

LOL Melissa, glad you got a kick out of my ranting about my rest day yesterday. And Thanks a lot Heather for the 'told ya so' - though I guess I deserved that one, huh?? I totally think you should do a blog post on runner's high, I firmly believe it's different for everyone :)

Roxie (I think it was you who asked me this, or was it Chris?) - I usually track my miles in the car, actually. Once I pick a route, I drive it to see how long it is and go at it that way. I have a 5k route, a 4-ish mile route and a long route that I have yet to officially measure, I think its around 7 though. I need one more option though - a longer one as I get closer to half marathon time. Eeek

Melissa - I so wish we could declare those types of no work days.

Chris - Good job with your workout! We have driven and clocked the miles for the route we run in our neighborhood. When we run on the river trails, those are marked for you. Also, DH has a fancy schmancy set up that tracks his mileage as we're running. I used to run minutes - like 15 out so that meant 15 back or 20 out. I don't go for time nearly as much now.

Chris-thank you I don't mind who answers just as long as someone can tell me what I did. I have decided not to use the stability ball for incline chest flys I will just use the step.

I have to really concentrate on the muscle I should be using when I do flyes. It's easy to take in the shoulder!
