Crazy, Strong & Loving it 12/12

Well, today was suppose to be Yoga X. Woke up with a screaming headache and a slight ache in my neck. I decided to skip it but I feel guilty about it now. I probably would feel better now if I did the workout but I couldn't imagine doing all those down dogs with this headache. Maybe I'll tackle it tomorrow and use today as my rest day.

Debbie- Awesome workout, Core Synergistics sounds very challenging. But I gotta say if its hard for you to do some of the moves its got me scared. I'm so not worthy of your workouts. You are the queen! I think I'll be doing Core Synergistics next week, it will be week 3 for me on P90X. You always amaze me with your workouts, you rock girl!!! p.s. I hope your back and shoulder are feeling ok and not giving you any problems.;) I will scale back my workouts I really sort of want to do P90X but don't feel like it offers enough cardio, that's why I decided to do Cathe's December rotation as well. I'm always up for good in suggestion on my workouts and appreciate your always helpful input. Thanks for the advice Debbie, I will take it. I'm just sort of wondering what I can do say three days a week maybe to kick up the cardio while doing P90X? Thanks again Debbie, take care.;):D:)

Nora, if you do P90X the way it's laid out you won't need to do anymore cardio. Seriously, cardio is for the heart only. It keeps your heart healthy. 95% of fat burn occurs when you are lifting. And the weight routines in P90X are almost cardio based as you have very little rest. So if you can contain yourself and just do the workout as it is laid out, you will be successful. Just do it for 3 months the way it's laid out and see what your results are. What harm can it do? You are still working out, just not overtraining. I guarantee you will see results. Get the cardio stuff out of your head, it should not be the staple of your workout rotations. ;)

Still need to do B&G premix and also suppose to do LIC cardio only today but first we are going to MILs to shovel snow and then I will do one of them when we get home and do the other one tomarrow. DH is leaving town this week so I should be able to do better with my workouts going to try the morning thing again.

I just came back from Nuernberg. I am very tired, didn’t sleep much last night. I have a few people over for dinner tomorrow. Still have to clean the house, I think I will do that tomorrow.LOL!

I did get up at 5 am on Friday to get my workout in. I did Push/Pull! Today is my rest day. I will try to get to the gym before my guests arrive. I will see you all in the morning.

I got on the TM today. It really felt good. Went for an hour and did 5.12 miles. I'm happy with that!

Hey Girls...

Unscheduled Rest day for me today. I still don't feel great. I'm debating on whether I'll go to work or not... The hardest thing is going in not 100% and feeling worse and being stuck there for 12 hours. No option to go home early.

Debbie: I feel for ya with the headache, I really do.

Roxie: Hope you get your workouts in, though shoveling snow is a workout in itself!

Wendy: Good treadmill run today!! You start Meso 3 next week?!!

Chris - ick on feeling lousy. Did you decide to stay home? And, yes, I'll be starting Meso 3 next week. What do you think so far? When I signed up for the SD Road Trip, I was number 59. So after a few days of registration, it's still only 25-30% full. Who are the gals from your other check in going? I'll look for them when I go.

I called out of work. I feel light headed and dizzy and my appetite (which is usually VERY healthy) sucks. It is what it is, nothing I can do but hope I made the best decision.

Wendy: LOVED Meso 3 this week! (it was my first week, 2nd round though). I remember doing it the first time, thinking the time between sets was SOOOO long. I didn't think so on DISC 25, Chest & Back. I really felt like i NEEDED that time to recover, since I was lifting pretty heavy (for me). I'm doing Plyo Legs, which was definitely better this time around too. I do like jumping! I don't have a squat rack, and truthfully, don't want to lift heavy for legs anyways. I'd rather go lighter and lean out my legs, instead of bulk them up. And then DISC 27 yesterday, Shoulders, Bi's & Tri's, ... well, I was sick feeling, so it wasn't the best experience. ..... The 2 girls going from the other check in are Bitmover (Beth) and Hottiescientist (we call her Hottie). Beth used to check in here when we were doing Debbie's rotation. They both live in different parts of CA, I think both are flying in. It would be fun for you to meet them! They check in on the DEC 09 Check In (or whatever month it is). ... If it wasn't clear across the country I'd SOOOO go! I can't believe it's only 25-30% filled. Was the FLA one sold out I wonder?
 
Hi ladies. My sis came up last night and we had a great visit. She didn't rush back home today either (which she used to do). We got to get in some good shopping time! I almost decided not to do my workout today, but felt guilty about that. I didn't workout yesterday...so, no weights, but I did do Imax 3 and added some pushups. Trying to learn to roll with the punches and not be so rigid with my workout sched. It was more important to enjoy the time with my sis.

It's rainy and cold here. I'm in my sweats and not going to leave the house again!

Chris - hope you get to feeling better.

I hope everyone is feeling better and enjoying their weekend. I'm going to try and take some of Debbie's advice and edit my workout schedule with rotations and do P90X. I really wanted to try some of Cathe's December '09 Rotation for week 4 she has some fun stuff with CTX. Oh well.

here's today's workout:

P90X KenpoX= 56 min
Calories burned= 535
I wore 1lb gloves on each hand during most of this. I seemed to be working at 76-78% of my max heart rate, I couldn't get it any higher than this. Fun workout I think I like it better with the gloves.
