Crazy Strong and Loving It for September 24, 2009

Ok, so last night shortly after my workout I ended up with a migraine. I'm thinking it must be stress related. I didn't catch as fast as I should have, but faster than the last time. I was still in bed, totally sound asleep by 8:45 though. Today I have what I call a migraine hangover. Just the achy remnants. I did manage to do the cardio from LIC and abs though. Tomorrow I will do absolutely nothing (other than pull out another 9-hour day).

Roxie - good job getting those legs done last night. I usually dread legs too, but once you get going time flies (usually).

Today was cardio and I did one of my Cardio Coach premixes. It was 45 minutes and I had a fairly good workout. Wasn't much in the cardio mood this morning but I pulled it out. Then I did the ab workout from Oxygen that I was doing a while ago. That one always makes me sore.

The cardio included:

MIXED #2 – 45 Minutes
Track 1 V701: Warm Up – 4 min.
Track 2 V702: Steady State – 3:50 min.
Track 3 V703: Challenge 1: 4 – 3 min. Level 3 endurance intervals (your choice of climbs or sprints); 3 min. at Level 2
Track 4 V6s05: Steady State – 3 minutes
Track 5 V302: Challenge 1: 6 – 30 second sprints, 30 second rest (Level 3)
Track 6 V706: Steady State – 3:50 min.
Track 7 V305: Challenge 3: 4 – 10 second sprints, 30 second rest (Level 4)
Track 8 V307: Cool down

The ab work was:

Hanging Knee Lifts
Bench V-Ups
Bench Reverse Crunch

***Did all these as tri-sets. Did 3 sets with 15, 12 and 10 reps. 1 minute rest between each tri-set. Really got a good burn with it.

Tonite for me is 4ds LIS cardio only then Ab Hits #9 which is ab work from PH. When I asked DH to promise to ask dr. about med I didn't realize at the time that is was going to destroy my marriage. We have a chair that fits 2 people that we sit in every nite and we use to cuddle alot now he just barely talks to me and other things are now lacking from our marriage today is his first day with no cigarettesl. Everyone including my DR. told me I did the right thing but it doesn't feel like it. Sorry to vent to you guys.

Heather-hope you feel better soon I hate migraines. I was so stressed out I ended up crying in a dark room by myself last nite.

Roxie, your dh is mad at you for asking him to quit smoking??? And what med are you talking about? I must have missed something.
 
I am really liking working out at night! I have so much more energy and I think I get so much more out of the workout (calorie burn wise). Last night I did 4DS HIS on the 8 inch step and was sweating buckets! After I finished the weight work that followed I did the 4DS kickboxing abs.

Tonights line up is 4DS Bootcamp in its entirety.

The Dr. perscribed him Chantix to help him quit and he can no longer smoke as of today. The med has been getting a bad rep in the press some people become suicidal and crazy.
 
Karen - sounds like you found your ideal workout time! I've read that if you can workout at a time that "feels" right for you (like morning for early birds or night for night owls), you're more likely to stick to working out and have the right energy at the right time.

Wow. I'd keep an eye on him. Has he changed since he's been on the drug? That could be why or him quitting could be making him nervous and such. I hope he gets over it soon, I know the first two weeks are suppose to be the worse.

He says he feels fine except his stomach is upset. He has been taking 05mg twice a day but today he starts 1mg twice a day. I might just be overreacting to I just know that he doesn't seem like he wants me around right now.
 
Gosh, Roxie. I wish you and your husband luck the next couple of days. Quitting habits is hard, no matter what the habit is. He is definitely going to need your support, even if he growls at you a lot. You both have absolutely done the right thing - you for asking him to quit, and your husband for trying. Hang in there! I know it's frustrating when all you're trying to do is help. So keep your chin up, okay?

I'm speaking from experience. My dh has tried several times to quit smoking. And every time he does he stays away from me. He says it's because his nerves are going crazy and he doesn't want to yell at me for something stupid. So instead he just keeps his distance so he doesn't hurt me with words. So maybe that's what your dh is doing. Just support him, he'll be ok in a few weeks.
 
Thanks guys for your support I guess I will continue to sit in the chair with him and when he wants to cuddle he will and when the other urges hit I will be ready. I just don't want to lose him over this we have been together 31 years. Its also the week before TTOM so maybe I am just a hormonal mess right now.

Today I did 10-10-10 from CTX. I hadn't done it yet. The catalog says the kickboxing part is 25 minutes. I got my new Cathe weighted gloves on and....what? The kickboxing part is really only 5 minutes.. drat. So the catalog clocks this workout at 64 minutes and my HRM said 44 min. Anyway, I did like the step portion of this and the tricep workout was good.
Belinda, hope your family is well. When are you planning on returning to Germany?
Roxie, again, positive thinking. Hang in there.
