Good morning'

Today I will take a walk and try to do some abs on the ball!

Thanks for all the kind words yesterday:D You girls rock! I know one thing, I have to keep my eats under control:rolleyes: I don't want to gain all that weight back that I have lost. Yesterday I really thought the doc. would tell me, get off your lazy butt and do what you have been doing. I already charged my ipod, I miss my CC's. My plan is to get back to normal soon.;)
I alos decited to get a 2nd opinion next week.

I will catch up later with personals, have nothing else to do:(

Good morning all. DH and I are about to go for a run before the rain hits. Then I plan on doing chest and back (GS) and abs and a stretch. Then I get to do the fun grocery store errand and some housework. Good times!

Belinda - a 2nd opinion may not be a bad idea. Another thing I thought of, do you think a weighted vest would be too much to use on walks?

The interview went well! Really well. I can see myself working there, but the hourly rate is $1.50 less then what I'm making now, plus the hours are about 15 hours less. That's a huge cut. However, if I get called in for a second interview, I will try to see what they can do for me. The position is part time, but Margaret (the lady I would be working for) said it could very possibly turn into more hours and eventually full time. This company is growing by leaps and bounds. Some suggested that I learn about the company before my interview and I did. At the end of the interview she asked if we had any questions and I asked a question about all the retail websites they have. I also mentioned that I was impressed that the company doubled their retail sales from 2005 to 2008. I think she was impressed that I knew that.

It was an interview with all the candidates. There were 4 of us. Margaret just had us go around the table and tell her our strengths, weaknesses, and such things like that. I was the best dressed person there. One girl came in FLIP-FLOPS! FLIP-FLOPS!!! WTF??? The other two were in slacks and not too dressy. I wore a brand new pinstriped suit that I bought at Kohls. It's very stylish. Got new shoes too. The company is casual wear, but hey, how was I suppose to know? And I can't figure out why the others dressed so uninformal.

Anyways, if I will be considered for a 2nd interview, I'll know by next week. I really want to work there but I know we can't take that kind of cut in pay. Really bums me out.

Today I did cardio. Chose Amy's Kickbox Surge but I only did the 5 kickboxing sections and the abs. Loved the ab work. Should have done the whole thing twice. I think it should have been longer. I liked how Amy did everything with a med ball.

HR STATS:
1 hr. 3 minutes total
7 minutes below zone
29 minutes inzone
27 minutes above zone
467 calories burned

Going for a motorcycle ride with DH. Going up to the lake!

Hey All...

I'm having a 'rest' day today, just didn't have the time for a cardio this morning. We're having 20 kids over for Gladiator Jousting , plus a handful of adults, AND having a cook out too! My eating is goign to suck (it already does). the crappier thing is I have a crappy icky headache and I half feel like puking, half feel like bingeing on crap food. The key word today is "CRAP".

NO! it's FUN, we ARE going to have FUN!

I plan on a good long cardio tomorrow for sure!

Belinda: Good plan, on the workout, and the second opinion, and the eating!

Debbie: Sounds like you were very impressive at that interview! I know I went from full to part time, and thought I'd suck wind because the pay was a little less, but ended up doing FINE, and after a few raises and a Promotion of sorts, I'm probably making about the same if not more than I was full time. And it was HUGE for my happiness too. .... enjoy your ride today!

the guys are here with the inflatable jousting!!! ... gotta go...

Well, DH and I got in the run. We went a lot harder and a bit farther than I'd expected so I was too pooped to do both chest and back. We ran 4.5 miles at an average 6.6 pace. I did good with chest (GS). I did the drop set pushups at the end rather than the beginning. I was able to go significantly heavier with weights for all the sets. Pushups were shaky to say the least. LOL. Tomorrow I think I will probably do Imax 3 and back. Family is supposed to be coming up for lunch unless it's raining too terrible for them to make the hour drive.

Debbie - glad to hear the interview went well. If you're really unhappy in your current situation, then maybe the cut is well worth your mental health??!!! I was in a horrible work situation a year and a half a go. I know the toll it can take on you mentally and even physically. I was more than prepare to simply quit and TRY to get a non-traditional teacher's license. I had no job back up and I didn't even care at that point it was so bad. I got incredibly lucky and was hired on at my current job. Someone was looking out for me. Things happen for a reason so maybe this is just what is supposed to be for you.

Chris - enjoy the jousting!

Hi girls,

This morning I went for a long, slow walk (4 miles). I only burned 228 cal. WTH! Do you still think the HR is wrong? I am gonna cry. I also did Body Fusion Abs (had to modify a lot) the . I was wondering if I can do the UB in that one. No heavy lifting, she didn’t say I couldn’t use tubings/bands?
Karen, good for you getting up early and getting your workout in yesterday. Enjoy your visit with your mom. Good for you calling in sick!

Heather, I am definatly getting a 2nd option, once I get the CD (I have to call them next week) from the MRI. I think carrying an extra 10# on my back would kill me right now. Thanks for the advice!

Debbie, I am keeping my fingers crossed! Sounds like you did your homework and made a big impression on Margaret. BTW, you were dressed appropriate, I would worn something like that too.. I can’t believe the girl showed up in Flip Flaps! If the Lady calls you back next week, I would take about the money. Awesome job on your cal. burn today. Enjoy your motorcycle up the lake with DH.

Chris, wow that’s a lot of kids and adults! Eat clean at the cook out today, you will have no problem. Stay away from the junk, you hear me! Have fun with the kids today.Chris, I am gonna have to like the bike, I have no other choice. LOL!

Nora, be careful with that broken toe, glad you didn’t add on cardio yesterday. (((HUGS)))) Great job Pure Strength Series: Back,Biceps, & ABS yesterday.

I think I caught up with today's personals!

Belinda - hate to say, but your HR monitor was probably right. When I was trying to just walk when I hurt my ankle I was burning maybe 100 calories for an hour of walking. I seriously was ticked off, like I could burn more than that sitting on the couch! I had to add in hills (or incline on treadmill) before I got my HR up at all. Do you have ankle weights? Wonder if those would help at all.
