Today I am getting my MRI results:D I am so glad the waiting is over!

I will keep you posted!

I will take a walk today, unless the doctor tell me, I can go for a run;) I can't wait to get back to normal!

Well, today is a rest day for me. My legs are still pretty heavy feeling from S&H on Wed. It's strange, b/c it's not a full on soreness like DOMS. Tomorrow I will have to do some sort of step or maybe kickboxing since we now have a 70% chance of rain all weekend :( and I am also scheduled to do GS back and chest.

Heather: Maybe a nice stretch? My legs get that heavy feeling too sometimes. I think I may try to sneak in a premix of SB tomorrow morning! (i say that now , but who knows?)

My mom is here to visit this weekend - but I got up early today and got my workout in. Today was 30 minute interval run on the treadmill followed up by S&H shoulders. I am fried and sweaty! Feels great! What was funny is that after 10 minutes on the treadmill my side started to hurt but I worked through it - then around 20 minutes it started up again but REM's song Everyone Hurts (or something like that) came on and I worked through it thinking "Yeah, everyone hurts - now get over it!" and was able to finish the full 30 minutes. Too funny - or so I thought.

Called in "sick" to work - just saw another guy did too - now I don't feel so bad. :p

Today was Meso 2, Week 1, Disc 13 - Chest, Shoulders and Triceps. Had an exceptional workout. Felt very strong and did well with this one. I know I'll love this mesocycle because now I'm doing what I like with weight lifting.

Wow. Physique 57 was tough and I can see how it can lift and firm you! Holy cow! Good workout!!! My butt is still shaking (woo hoo!).

Karen: Songs get me through running too! The song "Stronger" by Kanye West... "what doesn't kill you, can only make you stronger, ...do it faster, make you stronger"

I really need to get some stuff done! I have 20 kids coming to my house tomorrow for a bbq, bounce house jousting !!!
 
Chris - I do need a nice, long stretch and maybe a soak in Epsom salt. I stretch after every workout, but I think I need an extended one right about now.

Karen - Isn't it great how music an motivate you to push on!!

Debbie - great job with those weights. I thought I did pretty good with that disc last week by increasing the weights from the first time I did it - you put me to shame!!! LOL Awesome job.

Hi girls,

Update on my back!:(

Today I went to the Doctor for the MRI review; good news is that it was not as bad as they originally thought, although I do have three herniated disks. The nerve is more than likely being aggravated by and inflamed bone between the rib and the spine. There is wear and tear a well as what appears to be Arthritis. The orthopedist gave me another shot directly to the inflamed area and prescribed more pills for inflammation and muscle relaxers. They have also scheduled me for Physical Therapy, Massage Therapy, and a back support. I am still very frustrated because I am still not allowed to exercise to any great extent. No high impact aerobics, no step, no lifting and no running. She did say I can do a few ab crunches nothing to crazy! I was so depressed after leaving the orthopedist. How do I keep my weight down? By walking like a duck? I am gonna burn a lot of cal! What cardio can I do besides SLOW walking? I can’t swim, so that is out of the question! I hate riding the bike in the gym at a slow rate. I am going out of my mind. :(:(

I did go for a walk today without the dogs.

Belinda - I can't even imagine how frustrated you must be right now. I was going to suggest swimming, but since you nixed that one...I don't have any other ideas. What about water aerobics? I know that sounds old ladyish, but my guess is it's tougher than people think! I know walking isn't a high-calorie burning exercise, but at least the doc is letting you do that. So just walk and enjoy being out and about. It's better than nothing at all right???

Oh Belinda, I'm sorry. Gosh you have had your share of "crap". This sucks! Do you have a bicycle that you can ride outdoors or where you the one that didn't like biking at all?

You will get better, hang in there...

Hey at least you don't need surgery, right?

I do know, when I first started Weight Watchers, I lost 30 lbs with DIET ALONE. So you can lose weight if you're good with your diet. Maybe make THAT your obsession and do the walking as you can until you can do more?
