Hi and good morning,

My plan is to do D14 legs and maybe try some cardio:eek: I know I am a nut for working out beeing sick, but everytime I start STS I feel like I get slap in my face. I am so tired of having sinus/ear infections! I rather bit through the pain, than starting all over with my workouts again.

Chris - (((HUGS)) sorry you are going through a lot lately! Sending more prayers your way!! Hope you head cold is feeling better. I am a nut, I know!

Nora - your workouts are inspiring! Glad you like your new workout.

Debbie - good for you, starting STS next week! Which one will you do, the 3 or 6 month one?

Roxie - did you get a workout in today? Hope your DD feel better soon.

I will be back with personals!

Today I really wanted to get a great workout in but my body told me different.

I had every intention of running 5.0 mph for a quarter mile and then take a 1:30 rest and I was going to do that 8 times but nope, after the first 5.0 mph run I knew I couldn't do it.

It's ok, though, I did what I could. I ended up doing 5 intervals of 3 minute jogs from speeds varying 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0. I took 1:30 rest in between. I was sweating up a storm but really wish I could have done more.

I didn't sleep well last night, I woke up at 3 to go to the bathroom and then could not fall back to sleep. This doesn't happen to me too often and I'm thankful for that. I hate when I can't get back to sleep.

Also, Monday I twisted the same ankle I twisted last year at my moms. We cut her grass and she gave me a box of food (she made spaghetti with her famous sauce) and as I was carrying it down her back porch steps my foot landed sideways at the bottom of the landing, she has a flat piece of stone at the bottom and my foot caught it at the side and down I went. It stung for a minute but then I felt fine. When I stated my run at 5.0 mph this morning I felt my ankle so I didn't think it would be a good idea to continue at that speed.

At least I did something.

CARDIO STATS:
35 minutes total
6 minutes below zone
13 minutes in zone
18 minutes above zone
276 calories burned
2 miles traveled

Belinda - 3 months is enough for me with STS. So thats what I'll do. Looking forward to it.

Roxie - I have a 12# bar and a 15# bar. I use plates that range from 2.5# to 25#. I have lots of 10# plates and 5# plates and about 6 25# plates.

Chris - I'm glad your brother is stable right now, but so sad to hear that he needs hospice now. I know I have no words to make you feel better, just know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and him.

Nora - Sounds like you had a great workout yesterday! Did you ever order Rapid Fire Kickboxing workout? Susan Chung has a new one coming out and I preordered it last month. Can't wait to get it!

Good Afternoon,

Sorry for the late check in but we have been busy today first time I have been able to be on the computer. DD and I tried to go for a walk this morning but after 1 mile it started to rain so we are going to try again when we both get off work if not I am going to do LM step only 30 pushups and 200 crunches. I did do MM upper body last night but my computer was being retarted so I couldn't post it.

Debbie-thanks for the info I have a 13lb bar and a 11 lb bar 2.5-20lb wt plates. Sounds painful on the ankle.

Belinda-good luck finishing STS I know everytime you have tried it you get sick.

Chris-sorry to hear you brother is going on hospice I only wished we would have thought about that when my dad was dying.

Nora-you always rock your workouts.

That's it for today's workouts, sorry I didn't make it back for personals last night.

Belinda- Your amazing how you will still workout even with ear or sinus issues. Great workout today too btw, another round of STS eh? Good for you girlfriend but don't forget to take care of yourself. We understand if your not feeling up to working out its more important to take care of yourself there kiddo!;)

Debbie- Oh no, not an ankle sprain too! You sound like me. I had a wooden plank of wood fall across the top of my barefoot yesterday and it was swollen up like a goose egg and immediately starting to bruise. I'm not sure if anything was broken, I don't think so. I did apply ice to it most of the evening and that helped I was afraid I could put on my exercise shoes this morning but I could, but just had to loosen the laces for the shoe that goes on the injured foot, ugh. I've been struggling with my right side hamstring, quad, glute and calf muscles on the right side feeling muscle spasms and wringing of the muscles. I did discover that when I do Chalean Extreme weight workouts first I can then workout with little to no discomfort on my right side. If I start off with cardio I have pain, not sure what's up with that but I like not having pain which is a refreshing change of pace for me. Wow, you could still run on that ankle after that, bravo. I have really weak ankles and sprain, and twist them too often to count, I hate that. Geez Debbie, I'm sure your mom's awesome spaghetti sauce is great but you gotta stop falling for it, LOL! Just kidding, trust me I fall often and I have to laugh at myself and it helps. I'd respectfully suggest probably not doing any running for this week just to let that ankle be 100%. Please just take it easy and be careful with that ankle. There lots of other types of workout you can do but I know for myself when I injure it yet again I tend to avoid the impact stuff for a little while so I don't push it and really cause a bad sprain out of a sore twisted ankle. If they gave purple hearts for twisted, sprained, and broken/fractured ankles I'd have a drawer full of purple heart medals. Oh and thanks for the tip that Susan Chung has a new Kickbox workout coming out soon no I didn't know about that one. Thanks to you I quickly put in a pre-order it looks great and I can't wait. When is it supposed to be out approximately? Please take care;)

Chris- I'm sorry about your brother being in hospice care, but I'm sure they'll take great care of him the nurses are usually awesome and the best. I'm glad that they have stabilized your brother so that's good to hear. You gotta really appreciate the good days even more now. I wish him hugs and hugs to you as well. I know what its like have a loved one in this type of situation and its never easy so hang in there and just know I'm thinking of you.;);):)

Roxie- Good for you keeping up with your workouts and walking too! Oh just a suggestion if you and your DD really want to walk but the weather outside is yucky you might try doing your walks in the local covered mall. I know many malls allow for mall walkers and its great to not have to be dependant on the weather to get out and get those walks in. So, that is an option for you to look into about your local mall and find out what there hours are for mall walking if your interested, and its usually free! love that part!;):)

Well, ladies have a great night and take care! See ya at tomorrows check in, gotta go shower and then ice my foot.

Hugs to everyone!;):)
