Good morning,

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend;) I know, I did:p
Today I will do a full body workout, not sure which one yet?

This morning I have a massage appointment, so my workout will have to wait until this afternoon. I also have a turkey in the oven, DH been wanting one:D

Debbie, to bad we don't have that 10# challenge check- in anymore! Took me awhile to lose those 10 lb, but I did it

Third week of P90X. Today was Chest and Back. Had an excellent workout but unfortunately, I tweeked my low back a little with the last exercise of Dive-Bomber Pushups. I'm hoping the pain doesn't worsen over time. I feel good sitting down, it just hurts when I stand but not too bad. Danggit anyways. I took three Aleve and I'm hoping this will help.

I increased on everything today - reps and weights. Seriously had another puke status workout. Not sure why this workout makes me so nauseous.

Hardly any rest except I think two 1 minute breaks. It was non-stop and it was exceptional.

Standard Pushups - 35/5 on toes
Wide Front Pullups - 5 unassisted/9 assisted

Military Pushups - 16/5 on toes
Reverse Grip Chinups - 7 unassisted/7 assisted

Wide Flye Pushups - 25/7 on toes
Closed Grip Overhand Pullups - 4 unassisted/8 assisted

Declined Pushups - 15/6 on toes - used 4 rises and topper with High Step
Heavy Pants (double arm rows) - 27's/15 reps

Diamond Pushups - 20/5 on toes
Lawnmowers (one arm rows) - 27#/17 reps

Dive-Bomber Pushups - 14 reps
Back Flyes - 17's/15 reps

Then did all of this again but reverse:

Wide Front Pullups - 2 unassisted/10 assisted
Standard Pushups - 25/5 on toes

Reverse Grip Chinups - 4 unassisted/8 assisted
Military Pushups - 15/5 on toes

Closed Grip Overhand Pullups - 12 assisted
Wide Flye Pushups - 22/6 on toes

Heavy Pants (double arm rows) - 27's/12 reps
Declined Pushups - 20/5 on toes - used 4 rises and topper with High Step

Lawnmowers (one arm rows) - 27#/15 reps
Diamond Pushups - 15/5 on toes

Back Flyes - 17's/15 reps
Dive-Bomber Pushups - 12 reps

This is one tough workout and when you do it the first time through you think you can't do anymore. And then something happens and you just do it. Love this workout.

Hi ladies. Have a mild migraine hangover this morning. Hoping it goes away by the end of the day. Not sure what I'm going to do. May try to talk DH into spin class. Either that or I will do Hardcore Extreme Hi/Low Premix. Thought I might have some major DOMS from legs yesterday, but I'm not really feeling it. Maybe I should have gone heavier...

Debbie - good job with your workout. It's great that you're enjoying it so much. Makes a huge difference in motivation level!
 
Good Morning,

I have managed to pick up a cold from someone can't sleep without snoring my nose is so plugged and my throat hurts. This week is a stretch, yoga type week and then I need to figure out what I am going to do next month.

Debbie-I hurt my back Friday night doing GS bis an shoulders made it really hard to clean house Saturday.

Belinda-a massage I'm jealous.

Heather-have fun doing whatever you choose sorry to hear about the migraine.

I did MM “ Timesaver” premix! Had a great workout! Tomorrow is my 26 Anniversary! DH is taking the day off; he wants to take me to Bamberg. Love that city!

My migraine hangover is finally abating and I feel human again. DH is going to spin with me this evening. Kind of nice doing workouts with him.

Heather - glad you're feeling better. And I wonder if you'll burn more calories tonight at spin class now that you've done it before...?? Not that your last calorie burn was low, IMO. Have a good time!

Today I did Disc 21, back and bi's. Had a really good workout. Tacked on 30 minutes on the bike. Felt like I needed a little more after that pathetic workout yesterday!
You know, I'm not sure if the timing of the hypertrophy phase is a good idea during the holidays. With Halloween, being gone EVERY weekend in November and Thanksgiving, I'm quite certain not all of these pounds (almost 5!!!) is muscle! Oh, no!!! Gotta tighten things up around here - wish me luck!

Hey Girls!!!

It's Monday, wow. I had a good weekend at work, not so happy with getting back in the swing of things with school, etc, today. But all is good! I'll have soem time back to myself this week. Should get some Christmas shopping done!


Work was pretty good this weekend. Not too crazy. I have to say, I'm sooooo grateful and thankful for my life as I have it right now. I had a patient, in her 40's, who has breast cancer. She was up walking around, doing her stuff as usual 3 weeks ago, legs started getting weak, and now is paralyzed from the waist down, no movement or feeling in her legs, due to the cancer moving into her spine. She was supposed to have Thanksgiving dinner, and start her Christmas shopping, and there she was , helpless in a bed, couldn't even pee on her own, or poop. oh my life is good, it really is.

But I slept well yesterday, and I felt pretty awake and energized at work. At 11:50p , I had a few minutes to check my email. I got one from Total Fitness Video saying there was just 3 more hours left of their 20% sale. I got all crazy, and grabbed my credit card and ended up ordering KCM Body Training (that looked very cool!) and the Cardio Blast one, AND also ordered Lalo 2 (Beth you are SUCH the enabler, you!!!) I got an email this morning saying part of my order had been shipped! SO maybe I can do a KCM cardio this week!! Woo hoo!!

Today I start "Recovery week" after finishing Meso 2 last week. I could have easily talked myself into not doing anything today, but i went downstairs and pulled out cathe's CTX and did the All Step cardio. Not sure if I ever did this one before! It seemed so new! But it was a pretty good 30 minutes, and then I did the Extended Stretch from STS.

Better get off and get my shower in. I have to cook dinner yet! :eek:
 
Wendy - while the class felt challenging (maybe b/c I did legs yesterday) the calorie burn just still wasn't up there. It's not bad, 428 for 45 mins, just not what I kept hearing people brag about!!! LOL

Chris - I sooo know what you mean about enjoying the life you've got. I got a 2nd round of bad new on Sat - my former dance teacher has prostate cancer. I swear, it sure makes me thankful that I have the ability to get up and exercise!

The Terminator-Imax Extreme=75 Minutes
Calories burned= 922
That was so much fun, I don't think I'd ever did that one from the Terminator video before. Its great fun and definitely going to put that one in the rotation.

Core Cuts-Cut#1 Standing Med Ball Abs=12 Minutes
Calories burned= 74
See, cathe got me addicted to loving Med Ball abs, so I just had to get a dvd with more of that and a variety of abs to do to keep it interesting and fresh.

I'm sorry that you are feeling a little under the weather. I hope you'll get some rest and feel better ASAP!
