Good morning,

Hope you all had a great weekend? Today I will do a full body workout!

I have PT this morning:D

I will be back after my workout! Have a great day!

Hi ladies. Not really sure what I am going to do today. May go up to the gym. Not sure I feel like one more step workout. I think I'll do my plyo legs tomorrow then take Wed off as I have lots of errands to run and some baking to do.

Belinda - hope you had a good workout and PT session.

Heather, haven’t done my workout yet! I wanna do STS so bad, it’s not even funny! I gonna have to start my workout soon. Have fun in the gym. BTW, after the PT I got so tired. I am ready to take nap:eek:

Second week of P90X. Today was Chest and Back and I followed the workout as it is laid out. Last week I used only bands and did some weight work for chest instead of doing all the pushups they have in this workout. Today I did all the pullups and pushups. And wow, what a workout. I can honestly say I had a puke status workout. I got nauseous at the end and when I was taking a shower I almost hurled. Not sure what that was all about?

Hardly any rest except I think two 1 minute breaks. It was non-stop and it was exceptional.

Standard Pushups - 30/6 on toes
Wide Front Pullups - 8 assisted
***First set of pullups literally hurt. My upper back is still really sore from Friday's workout.

Military Pushups - 15/5 on toes
Reverse Grip Chinups - 5 unassisted/7 assisted

Wide Flye Pushups - 20/10 on toes
Closed Grip Overhand Pullups - 3 unassisted/6 assisted

Declined Pushups - 13/7 on toes - used 4 rises and topper with High Step
Heavy Pants (double arm rows) - 25's/15 reps

Diamond Pushups - 15/6 on toes
Lawnmowers (one arm rows) - 25#/20 reps

Dive-Bomber Pushups - 12 reps
Back Flyes - 15's/22 reps

Then did all of this again but reverse:

Wide Front Pullups - 10 assisted
Standard Pushups - 25 on toes/10 on knees

Reverse Grip Chinups - 3 unassisted/5 assisted
Military Pushups - 15 on toes/12 on knees

Closed Grip Overhand Pullups - 10 assisted
Wide Flye Pushups - 20/10 on toes

Heavy Pants (double arm rows) - 25's/14 reps
Declined Pushups - 15/5 on toes - used 4 rises and topper with High Step

Lawnmowers (one arm rows) - 25#/16 reps
Diamond Pushups - 10/5 on toes

Back Flyes - 15's/20 reps
Dive-Bomber Pushups - 12 reps

My upper body is TOAST!

Good Morning,

Tonite for me is 4ds Chest and Tri premix, KCMs KB and 4ds HIS abs. I don't know how many of you saw yesterdays post but I want to eat really well this week due to Thanksgiving so I am going to post my meals today and would appreciate any input.

Brkfst-weight control cinnamon oatmeal and grapefriut.

Belinda-I hope you can do STS soon.

Heather-enjoy whatever you do.

Debbie-great workout glad you are enjoying P90X.

Have any of you ladies tried a spin class? I am really desperate for some new cardio. Really burnt out on the step workouts and don't enjoy running on the treadmill very much (outside is a bit different). My DH used to do spin classes a lot, and they are always packed. So it's obvious people must enjoy them... I'm not sure why, but I'm kind of afraid to try one.

Hi girls!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Belinda, good job on total body MIS today. That's a great one!
Heather, I know what you mean about trying the spin class. It's something I've always wanted to try because it seems like another great form of cardio. But I've never done one. I don't have easy access to a class. And I'd hate to just totally fatigue during the first 15 minutes and look like a wimp!!! But I'm sure it would be awesome.
Holy cow, Debbie. Great job on the workout. I mean, really, what could be better for you than pull ups and push ups? And you're so good at them both! Good job!
I had a grand weekend. However, about all I ate was bread, cheese, chocolate and olive oil....and washed it down with some fantastic wine! So when I got home yesterday I worked out!
First I did Disc 16. I had my husband help spot me. It was great, the whole family was working out...jumping rope, running on the TM, lifting weights. Kind of noisy and crowded, but it was just nice, you know? Then they all cleared out and I did a DVD from Netflix. It's from GAIAM. Core Crosstrain Kickbox or something. Had a lady with the name Morena or something leading it. I liked the workout, and I really liked her. But I probably won't do it again. Burned over 800 calories! I tell ya, it seems like when I've not fueled my body properly (eaten like crap) it seems I really burn the calories when I get that good workout in.
So today will be Disc 17 Legs. And maybe something else...
Hello to all!
Check back later...

My mid morning snack was banana and strawberry shortcake yogurt
Lunch-salad made with spring greens, spinach, radishes, cucumbers, baby tomatoes and turkey with FF french dressing.
PM snack-almonds and a gala apple.
Supper-grilled hamb pattie on george foreman grill.
Late Snack-syntha 6 protein powde and ff milk.

Checking in -

Disc 17 Legs done! Whew - that one got me. My low back starts to fatigue about half way through. So on the last triset I lowered my weights by about 10# on squats and deadlifts.
Then I rode the bike for 40 min/ 10 miles. I tell ya, I'm sweating butter!
Now I've got to go add up my receipts from this weekend.....
Enjoy your day, ladies!

Hey Girls!

Started my last week of MESO 2 today! For some reason , I thought at first I was on the 3rd week. I did DISC 22, Chest, Shoulders and Triceps. It as tough. Up to 80% 1RM and dropsets. I was moving alot of weights around quickly. Not like the LONG minute breaks of last week.

I also have been having some sinus "issues", drips and sore throat and hoarseness. I'm kind of sick of it and it made work hard this weekend...

Belinda: Great workout! MIS is tough! I know, STS really is the coolest, I totally love it! even better the second time around. Hopefully soon for you! I'm going to continue to hold off on Step & running this week because of my calf. And I love love love step & running, so I understand the yearning for a workout you can't do!

Debbie: Hey, I remember you saying the first workout of P90X made you feel sick to your stomach too. Weird! ... but again, I'm happy to hear you are loving these workouts! makes me excited to do them!

Heather: I've never done a spin class either. I'm not a big fan of group classes. I haven't done one in YEARS and YEARS to be honest with you. But spinning looks kind of cool. Can you take a sample class at a local YMCA? I bet they'd let you!

Wendy: wow, chocolate wine bread and olive oil. YUM!!! You kicked butt yesterday and today with your workouts!

Roxie: Hope you have a good 4DS workout today! .. Your eats sound good and healthy!

Hi girls!:)

I'm trying to be good with my eating with the exception of Thursday. Tonight I'm having Lentil Stew its great tasting and low fat, love that part and that its hearty and filling.

Ok, I did get to go watch New Moon, YES!!! Let me just say officially my allegiance is for Team Edward, but I like Jacob too, and Alice is so cool. I think I might have to say first Team Edward and second, Team Twilight. I've read all four of the books and it was so much fun to see this second enstallment on the big screen. I just love Bella and Edward, New Moon the movie was easier to take than the book because it was so hard to read being very dark and depressing in mood.

Debbie- Thank you so much for your thoughts on P90X, I went and ordered it for me and hubby as a christmas present for the both of us. I think it will be fun to do. I had hubby watch the first disc of STS Meso 1 and he was shocked how hard core and non girly it was, LOL!! I told him hey we Catheites do not fool around we are all about a good serious workout that gets results and our Cathe always delivers. He was stunned I think he was genuinely in shock and awed by the STS Meso 1, disc 1. He asked if I had done that one yet? I replied I've completed all the of the meso cycles and probably done even another time thorough doing different rotations with them. He then looked at me with new respect with regards to my workouts. :p I said yep, all of us Catheites are hard core about fitness and getting results. :D Sorry, I just had to share that story. So, he now thinks he needs to work up to Cathe and STS so I thought P90X would be a good one to do and I wouldn't mind trying it as well. It looks like it could be good to work in or alternate with STS rotations maybe. I can't wait til it gets here to start, LOL!! Its funny I get excited about doing workouts and getting new exercise dvds you can tell I really have fun with it.

Here's today's workout:

Body Max 2= 97 Minutes
Calories burned= 879

This is one of my absolute favorite workouts. It has everything in it cardio, some toning with weights, and abs. This is a fun solid action packed circuit type workout. I really love how its paced and structured. Good stuff and talk about a fun workout!!

I'm bushed now girls and think I'll go have a bowl of my lentil stew I made. Great job on all of your workouts and on a monday no less, bravo!!! Have a great evening and see ya at tomorrow's check in.

ps. thanks again Debbie I appreciate and respect your comments on P90X.

Hugs!

Nora
