Crazy Strong and Loving It for Nov 20, 2009

Hallo ladies,

I never made it to the gym this morning. After lunch I wasn’t motivated at all , have major DOMS in my butt and legs. I almost talked myself out off working out today. No energy today. After a little shopping (had my gym cloth) I decided to give it a try, if not oh well! Not sure where the energy came from today. LOL! I did CCV7, love that one! Burned 880 cal. and traveled 4.25 miles. Oh, I almost forgot! I took the dogs this morning for a 3 mile walk. I still have to work on my core/back! This is it for me today. I am so glad no more cardio for me this week! LOL!

Good Morning,

Trying to decide if I want to do 4DS chest, tris and shoulders and KCMs KB or if I want to do the scheduled workout of 4DS Kb cardio only and MM abs either way I am doing the abs. I was going to do the arm work tomarrow instead of back and bis but I want to stay true to the rotation so I just can't decide what to do.

Belinda-good workout for someone who wasn't in the mood.
 
Hi ladies. Happy Friday! I did SB and abs from SJP this morning. I had a really good workout and feel more on track. It is sunny here finally. I am about to head out to my hometown to spend some time with my mom and have her cut my hair (she's a beautician) - it's a mess.

Today was Legs and Back and I had a great workout. This one was fun, fun, fun!!! Very fast paced, no rests except one 1 minute break in the middle of the workout.

This is how it went:

Balance Lunge (BSS) - 12's/25 reps each side
Calf-Raise Squats - 15's/25 reps
Reverse Grip Chinups - 7 unassisted, 4 assisted
Super Skaters - 25 each side
Wall Squats - an eternity at high and low levels
Wide Front Pullups - 11 Assisted
Step Back Lunges - 12's/15 reps each side
Alternate Side Lunges - Can't remember, but used no weights
Close Grip Overhand Pullups - 4 unassisted, 7 assisted
Single Leg Wall Squats - 1 minute total, 10 second holds each side alternating
Deadlift Squats - 20/side (these burned)
Switch Grip Pullups - 8 total, 4 sets reversing grip, all unassisted
Three-Way Lunge - 5 each side going side, 45 degree, front
Sneaky Lunges - 20 each side
Reverse Grip Chinups - 18 using red and blue bands (Just couldn't do another set of chins at this point)
Chair Salutations - 2 - 30 second chair poses (burned like a mother)
Toe-Roll Iso Lunges - 20 each side
Wide Front Pullups - 8 assisted
Groucho Walk - 4 up, 4 back for 45 seconds
Calf Raises - 12's/did 15 reps slow, 10 reps fast with feet turned out, front and in. Should have went heavier
Close Grip Overhand Pullups - 3 unassisted, 4 assisted (was really running out of gas here)
80-20 Sieber Speed Squats - 30 a side (I liked these)
Switch Grip Pullups - 20 reps/red & blue bands (Just could not get another set of these in so I used bands)

Then I did AB RIPPER X! Wow, I don't remember this workout being as hard as it was. It's been a while since I've done it, but I know there was a time I could get through the whole thing without rest. I rested alot today. LOL!

Hey girls!

Today I did DISC 21, Back and Biceps. I did ok. OMG, I failed so easily on biceps at the end. I know it's all good, because I'm lifting to failure, but it pisses me off! LOL!. the heavy barbell for back rows and deadlifts KILLED my freakin hands! the bar dug into my palms, with or without gloves. I pinched right under my ring finger and there's this hard sore callus-y thing there now. *sigh*.

Belinda: WOW! Good for you for pushing yourself to workout and burning all those calories!

Debbie: So good to hear you enjoyed your workout today. I like hearing that! Makes me want to do P90X! ... I hear ya on Ab Ripper X. Holy CRAP that one KILLED me last week when I did it!

You're a SB fanatic!!! I bet you'll feel good after your hair is done. I totally need a trim too, but will wait until after T-Day.

Chris - I feel soooo much better after my haircut LOL! I had a great day all the way around. I know what you're talking about with the ring finger, callus thing. It happens to me too. I sometimes think that my gloves make it worse.

Didn't get workout in met oldest dd and her dh for mexican and had a margaritta not seeing very well and kindof numb so didn't want to hurt myself.

Happy Friday! I'm so excited about the Twilight: New Moon saga being out at the theatres. I've read all four of the books in the series so I know what will happen but I thought they did a great job with the first movie I can't wait to see this one. I just love Bella and Edward. Ok, so I'm team Edward all the way! I hope to go see it this weekend possibly tomorrow:D:eek:

Gym Style-Back, Shoulders and Biceps= 51 Minutes
Calories burned= 396
Upper body work always gives me DOMS. It took me until today to recover from GS Chest and Triceps, ugh! Legs I usually don't get DOMS, oh well that just means that my upper body needs more work. That and I know I can kick as hard as a mule with my legs!LOL!!! My legs are strong like bull:eek::D:p

Wow, some great workouts for you girls I see today. Belinda CCV7:eek:!! I bow to you, that's awesome. I've never made it up past volume 5. I was going strong then I hurt my knees so had to back off from running at all. I'm just now slowly getting back to it gradually. I don't want to injure myself. My doctor told me I have Runner's Knee its called Patello Pain Syndrome
is the medical term for it. Basically its a tracking issue with the tendons around the knees. So, now I wear knee braces when I do any impact, which is every workout whether it be step, kickbox, or weights. That seems to helps and not running more than two or three times a week and not on consecutive days.
