CRAZY STRONG AND LOVING IT FOR JUNE 22, 2010

I also walked my dogs plus did Ab Circuits Pilates based Abs today. That's it for me today. I still need to fold laundry:confused: BBL!
 
What's crazy is that I think all of us have great ideas. So what is truly holding us back? Fear? Uncertainty? Money? Which of those can be overcome? Maybe find someone to go into business with as well.

I'm going to go with MONEY, Heather. Or more specifically...lack of it if the business fails!!!:eek:

Debbie - love your idea of a crochet/yarn store with a coffee shop. Very original...:)
 
I'm going with money too. My dh and I owned a dollar store a few years back. Lasted 3 years and put us in debt to around $15,000. I am now finally coming to the last few months of paying this off. So unless I win the lottery, I won't be doing that again.

Sorry to hear that Debbie! Yeah, I would have to win the lottery to pursue my fantasy business. Because I really wouldn't want to care about making a huge profit, I'd just want to have fun!!!

So here is another random thought: most days I sit here thinking or posting about working out, after my work is all done of course!! And I just realized that I could fit my stationary bike in my office. That would be so totally awesome to be able to shut my door and hop on it for like 30 minutes. Maybe then work wouldn't seem so bad...

So I was wondering if I should ask HR if it's acceptable or if I should just wheel it in one day and see if anyone says anything?!?! The visual is making me giggle because I would have to wheel it through the entire floor to get to my office.
 
Just one more thing: it really drives me bonkers when people say or write "muscle weighs more than fat". Seriously, my stomach tenses up when I read that.

I want to pop onto the thread and say "No, it really doesn't. A pound of fat is much larger than a pound of muscle, but a pound is a pound, people!!!"...:mad:

I caved I know, I did workout. I started out wanting to try a round or two of Aero Barre dvd I received in the mail yesterday. Little did I realize and I finished the entire dvd all 50 minutes plus bonus abs and stretch total of 57 minutes all together. This was so much fun and the time flew by. It was a very fun and challenging shadow boxing and ballet moves as well. I definitely worked up a sweat and had a funtime doing it and it was a low impact workout which made my knees happy campers. This is a fun workout I recommend and any of Michael Olajide workouts. This one his partner former Harlem ballet company dancer is featured but has michaels voice over.

Here's today's workout:

Aero Barre w/bonus abs section= 57 min
Calories burned= 584

Used 1lb dumbells in each hand for the shadow boxing sections. In the sculpt section I used my 8lb Firm sculpting bar. The abs section was intense but not super long, very effective. Excellent low impact but definitely a sweatfest and calorie burner type workout.

Belinda- Whoa! That's some serious run and calories burned! Do you really think you need to do a HiiT workout as well? I wouldn't maybe just a nice yoga stretching section or ab work. Take it easy girl, the olympic tryouts aren't for a while yet.:p:) Seriously, your amazing WTG!!:)

Heather- Nice job on the 3 mile run this morning, ^5's! I love MMA Boxing its a lot of fun. You'll have fun with that one and the abs on it are good too!

Debbie- Awesome that your hip flexor behaved and let you do some cardio coach again. I know that ankle sprains tend to take their own sweet time healing. I have had more than I can count of ankle sprains and fractures. Hang in there and take it easy. Thanks for the well wishes, and I hope your mom is doing well.

Roxie- OMG! on the temps where you are. I'd definitely make fixing or getting a new AC a priority. No way can you workout when its that hot inside or outside. Please take care.;)

Jessica- Another kick butt workout from you today WTG!! Trisets are lots of fun and tough its one of the many gems in STS. Glad your enjoying STS;)

Melissa- No worries on not getting a workout in yesterday, somedays are just like that. So today your doing CC and CTX tris & chest which sounds like a great kick butt workout to me lots of fun. Have a great day, and thanks for the kind thoughts and well wishes.;)

Quick all about me post today. Having a bad day with my 14 yr old again, and I'm in a crappy mood.

But I had a great workout , did Pyramid HiiT this morning (loved it!) followed by 4DS Chest & Back. Went kind of heavy.

Oh, and oddly enough, I can't join in the sentiments of hating my job. I do hate the fact that i have to stay up insane hours and get little sleep, but I really LIKE nursing as a profession. I love my oncology patients and my co workers are my best friends!

On the other hand, my job as mother is really getting hard and I'm not enjoying it so much :(
