CRAZY STRONG AND LOVING IT FOR JUNE 15, 2010

Morning,

I just came back from a 42 min run:eek: I burned 487 cal. Getting ready to do SC HiiT 40/20:p Better get moving before my energy is running out!

Have a fantastic workout and day, everyone! BBL!

It's me again:p

I am done with SC HiiT 40/20! That was a tough one after my run:confused: My HR went up big times! I still didn't burn a lot of cal, I burned only 198 cal:mad: I do have to say, I enjoyed it more the 2nd time around! These workouts are short and sweet!

That's it for me today. I will shower than take my dogs for a walk. I will be back later.

Work it, girls!;)

Today was cardio and a week ago today since I twisted my ankle. It's doing very well. Still hurts a bit when I bend it outward towards the floor but other then that it's ok. I got on my treadmill and just did a fast pace walk on a 4% incline. Got my HR up into my in zone for most of it and worked up a good sweat.

Then I did the Oxygen Ab Triset that I love tod o. Really felt it today. I'm sure my abs will be sore tomorrow. Love that triset routine!

CARDIO HR STATS:
52 minutes total
6 minutes below zone
33 minutes in zone
14 minutes above zone
382 calories burned
2.75 miles travelled

Not a bad calorie for just walking fast. I'm happy with it!

Belinda - A run and HiiT 40/20?!?! Holy mackeral!

Debbie - glad to hear your ankle is on the mend and you were able to get in a good sweat today.

I had an awesome workout last night. I stuck with CCV1. Just switched it around a little. Instead of hills on C1, I sprinted and instead of sprinting on C2, I did hills. Then finished up with CTX tris and I'm definetly feeling it today...:D. I have Athletic Step and CTX chest on tap for tonight, but I'm really itching to do HiiT 30/30 again. I'm definetly not ready for 40/20 yet, unless I modify it to 40/40...:p

BBL when I've had enough of this working-thing....

We finally have a SUNNY day here, but I do hear that rain is back in the forecast for tomorrow. :(

Today is cardio for me, so I think I will try a run. For some reason, since I came home from DC, I have this pain in my right thigh/hip flexor area. I hope running will be ok. This week is the last week where it will be "easy" to get a run in. Next week, the kids are home for the summer! Last day is Monday (1/2 day).

I baked a big platter of brownies for the DC chaperones and am writing a thank you and bringing it to the school today. They really were very nice to me, I just felt like I wanted to do something. I think they would have appreciated a case of beer better, but not so appropriate to give teachers in school. LOL!.

Belinda: WHAT? you did 40/20 AFTER a run? You crazy nut, you!!! There is NO way you burned JUST 198 calories! NO WAY!. And you are walking your dogs too? I need your energy!!!

Debbie: I missed that you twisted your ankle last week (was in DC). sorry to hear it. How did it happen? Glad you're better though, that must have been a good fast paced walk in the treadmill. It's awesome that we can adapt our workouts to injuries and not just make it an excuse not to work out. Like most people would do. We're definitely not "most people"!!

Melissa: Nice workout last night! The CTX rotation sounds pretty cool. Do you do a body part every day? Hope work goes better for you today!

Nora: Sorry you are feeling crappy. You sure are amazing to push yourself into ANY workout when you feel so bad. Are you getting excited for Turbo Fire like me??

*waves* to Heather, Jo, Jessica, Roxie

Good Morning,

Today is suppose to be a rest day but if I have a day like yesterday at work it will be some kind of KB. I don't know if I will be able to walk it is raining again today they have posted flood warnings all around us.

Belinda-good job on all your workouts.

Debbie-glad to hear the ankle is better.

Melissa-hope you have a better day at work.

Chris-sounds like a nice thing you are doing, and ya the beer probably isn't appropriate.

Chris - I think you should have gone with brownies and beer...;) Yes, I am doing one body part per day with the exception of back. Last week I started working my back on leg day. I like the combo of the two so I'm going to continue that. Good luck with your run and enjoy the weather!!

Roxie - I hope you have a better day at work today. And if not, some KB will make you feel a whole lot better. My day is starting off okay so far. But it is only 9 am...

Morning ladies! You guys are so active already on the forums, I feel behind! LOL. Well - my husband returned from the bachelor party he had this weekend in Tahoe so I enjoyed the extra sleep with him by my side last night so I didn't get up this morning. Was SO WORTH IT though, slept like a rock. We're planning a nice run after work - the weather is GORGEOUS for it and the way work has been going, I need to burn off steam by the time the day ends. PLUS - I have MAJOR DOMS after Sunday's STS, Core Fusion and Monday's STS that a little rest before I run tonight will probably do me some good. God I love DOMS though, not gonna lie ;)

Belinda - NICE job on the run AND HiiT, that is intense! Good work!
Debbie - tell me about this oxygen triset abs routine - I'm curious!!
Melissa - how are you liking HiiT? I like it for when I don't have much time or after a weight workout when I want to get some quick cardio in. It's my favorite of the Shock Cardios, to be honest.
Chris - YAY for sunshine, it makes SUCH a difference doesn't it??
Roxie - good luck with your rest day...and I know JUST what you mean about having a rough day at work and needing to KB it out of your system, go with your guy tonight. If it it says its KB time, by all means, I say do it up :)

Hi ladies - I'm kind of in a funk today. Guess it's being back at work. I need to get biceps and back done and probably a premix from KPC with abs. Really I just want to sit and cry though - you know how those days go.

Belinda - I love the HIIT workouts, but they aren't huge calorie burners b/c they're so short. I mean they're great for the length though.

Debbie - glad your ankle is better!

Chris - I hope you enjoy the run. Maybe your hip flexor is tight from sitting?

Melissa - hope you enjoy your workout tonight. I love Athletic Step. It's a good one.

Roxie - KB always helps get out frustration doesn't it!?

Nora - hope you're feeling better today.

Hi Jessica and Jolene...I feel like I'm forgetting someone...

Hi Jessica and Jolene...I feel like I'm forgetting someone...

((HUGS))) Heather! I hear you on the funk - mine is definitely work related (have I mentioned lately how much I hate my job??) but I'm sure yours is partly due to having to come back to work after a fantastic vacation, huh?? Hang in there!!

Nora - You are aloud to have a day when you don't go balls to the wall. It's good to have some lighter days so don't be too hard on yourself.

Belinda - Wow, two cardio workouts today. You go girl!!! Nice!!! Glad you are feeling somewhat better but I just cannot believe the problems you have with your sinuses. That is just not good. I hope they can find something to help relieve your issues soon.

Melissa - Hi girl! You cracked me up with your coffee post. LOL! Sounds like you had a great workout last night! Nice going! ;)

Chris - Be careful with the running. My hip flexor has been giving me problems for almost 8 months now and I think it's because I was using my treadmill so much. Hopefully running on ground will be different but just be careful. I twisted my ankle doing LIC step premix and I made the mistake in using two risers. I know better then that. Slipped off the step and came right down on my ankle. Went to the emergency room for x-rays and they said it was just a sprain. It really hurt last week so I didn't do a leg workout or cardio since last Tuesday. This week no pain so I'm back at it. :D

Roxie - You guys are getting alot of rain too, so are we. I'm sick of it actually. This is how last summer was only this summer it's at least warm. Yeesh.

Jessica - The ab workout I got from Oxygen Magazine consists of three exercises back to back. First set of all three exercises you do 15 reps, rest 1 minute then do it all over again with 12 reps, rest 1 minute then do it all over again and do it for 10 reps. It's a burner. These are the three exercises: Hanging knee raise, Bench V-Ups, Reverse Bench Crunch. They really work the lower abs very well.

Heather - Sorry you are so down today. :( Is it just because you had to go back to work? I know how that can ruin a day.

Ok to keep me from quitting my job it is going to have to be KB with a picture of the bosses face on the screen. Why do 65 year olds act like 2 year olds when they are mad. I have been they're only employee for a year doing all the deliveries of hospital beds, oxygen, lift chairs and doing oxygen rounds and they are not giving me a raise and now that the old employee has returned they are treating me like s**t. Sorry to rant.

UGH!! That sounds awful, I'm so sorry Roxie! I feel your pain - my job has been uber painful to go to every single day. It's so sad to feel like I'm stuck in jail everyday, you know? Hang in there...KB it out tonite!!

Jessica-thank you I didn't even want to get up this morning knowing that I was going to have to come here I almost walked out earlier.

Me too! Count me in on one who hates her job. I've been looking for a new job for a year now and nothing. VERY frustrating. I sympathize with all of you!

Seriously - I thought when we started the year, that I'd be LONG gone by now and here we are halfway through June and I'm still here, hating every single second. Blah. SO frustrating. part of me wants to change careers entirely and do something I'm passionate about (um hello, fitness!) but am scared sh*tless to take such a leap, especially while my husband is out of a job. Definitely on my mind more and more lately - life is too short to spend 8-10 hrs a day at a job that makes you miserable, don't you think??

Sorry - back to originally scheduled program...fitness. Who can't wait to go for a run tonight, meeeeeee. Even though I'm hitting a 2pm sleepy wall.

I know, I'm with ya! I never imagined I'd still be in this crap hole this year. I started looking seriously in July of last year. I've sent out SEVERAL resumes, I'm talking at least 35 if not 40. Have had 4 - count them - 4 interviews. WTF? I just don't get it. I'm so desperate right now that I'm cold calling companies and sending out letters to places I really want to work at. We'll see how that goes.
