Good morning,

Today I will start STS again. I will do M1 D1 after my coffee:) Loved the results I got from it!

Cris - I am back in Germany since Thursday afternoon, I have jet lag. Can't sleep at night, during the day I am tired. My ears are fine, it's my sinus that's still causing problems. How are you doing? I was in DC to drop off DD for her internship a week ago too.

This is what I did today:

STS Meso 1, Disc 1, Chest, Shoulders and Biceps.

I compared notes from my first round of STS in Jan 2010 when I had back problems. I went up on most exercises. I am sure I will go up or down with some exercises in the next few weeks, lol! Had a great workout as always! Love STS and the results I got the first time around.

Push Ups - Standard - 8 reps – did all of them on my toes!!
Push Up Wide - 8 reps – did all of them on my toes!
Alternating Seated Overhead Shoulder Press - 15's/15 reps – went up 5lb
Barbell Curl - 40#/21's – went up 8 lb
Incline Chest Flyes - 16's/15 reps – up 4 lb
Seated Rear Delts - 13's/15 reps – up 3 lb
Bonus Band Pulls - Green band/15 reps
Alternating Incline Curl w/Twist on SB - 14's/15 reps – up 2 lb
Decline Pushups - 20 reps , went down on my knees!
Incline Front Raise on Stability Ball - 10's/15 reps each arm – up 2 lb
Standing Quarter Stop Curls Both Arms - 13's/12 sets – up 5 lb
Prone Pushups on Stability Ball -
Seated Lateral Raise Both Arms High Ends - 15's/15 reps – should dropped the weight, I was burning!
Seated Concentration Curls 1.5's - 15#/15 reps – up 3lb
Straddle Pushups - 10 reps, was suppose to be 20
Side Leaning Lateral Raise - 10#/15 reps – up 2 lb
Seated Curls Alternating + Both Arms - 15's/16 reps, what was I thinking?
Chest Flyes - 16's/15 reps – up 1 lb
Seated Overhead Press - 15's/15 reps – up 3lb
One-Arm Preacher Curl on Stability Ball 1.5 - 16#/12 reps – up 4 lb
Core Pushups - Boot Camp Ttyle – mine didn’t look like Cathe’s, did them on my knees
Seated Front Press Double Arms 1.5\'s - 35#/12 reps – up 14 lb
Reverse Dumbbell Curl - 15's/8 reps – up 3 lb
Staggered Pushups – love those! Did them on my knees.
Incline Rear Raise on Stability Ball - 10#/15 reps – up 2 lb
Barbell Curl Wide Grip - 35#/21's – I dropped very quickly from 40 lb to 35 lb, lol! – up 10 lb.

Oh, btw! I will do Cathe's STS 3 1/2 month with the Shock Cardio, I will sub on or 2 cardio wo with a run! Can't miss my run! LOL!

Morning ladies. Well - Core Fusion coupled with STS M2 D13 is a great combo but whooooa nelly do I have DOMS today, especially upper body DOMS! My legs were LESS sore than my upper body so I figured I'd do STS M2 D14 today versus anything upper-body related like Kick or something. I was too tired to attempt a run - I'll give tomorrow as my running day. :)

Belinda - NICE job on STS today!! Don't you love it?? I'm so glad I'm doing STS again too - albeit an abbreviated rotation. It's awesome!!

Well, Welcome Back, Belinda! I can only imagine the jet lag. I have "Bus lag". LOL. DC was unbelievably cool. Even though I had some issues with my son and his diabetes management, we survived, and for the most part, enjoyed it a LOT!!! Did you get to tour there at all when you were there?

Nice job getting back to STS!! I'm tempted to start again, but I'm ordering Turbo Fire and want to see what that entails.

SO today I'm going to do a GS and cardio rotation. I'm going to do the shortened premixes of GS and then add in a shorter cardio to go with it. Kind of like the 4DS, but with GS!

Starting out with Chest and Triceps today and I'll see what cardio jumps out at me when I get there!

Today was STS Meso 1, Disc 7, Chest, Shoulders and Biceps. This was a real taxing workout. I was really burning on most of the exercises. Did well with the pushups, only went on my toes a few times.

Crossover Pushups - 16 reps on toes
Standing Overhead Press - 20's/10 reps
Standing Overhead Press - 15's/10 reps
Standing Overhead Press - 12's/10 reps
***This was drop sets with 10 seconds rest between each set. Got a huge burn with this one!
Barbell Curl - 25#/10 reps - 1 cnt up, 3 cnts down
***Thought I had 35# on this. Couldn't figure out why it felt so light.
Elmo Pushups on Stability Ball - 7/8 on floor
***I cannot stand this exercise. Too unstable on that ball. I did 7 on the ball and 8 on the floor.
Standing Barbell Front Raise - 25#/15 reps
Seated Incline Hammer Curls - 15's/15 reps
Flat Bench Chest Flyes - 25's/15 reps
Seated Overhead Press - 17's/15 reps
***These killed. Last two were a struggle.
One Arm Preacher Curl On SB - 20#/15 reps
***Used my preacher bench, not the ball.
Pushups - Standard - 8
Pushups - Wide - 8
Pushups - Standard - 10 Toes/10 Knees
***Drop sets again, 10 second rest between each set of pushups. Last set was suppose to be 30 reps. Yea right!
Alternating Seated Overhead Press - 15's/12 reps
***Should have been 15 reps. These burned like a mofo.
Seated Barbell Isolation Curls - 25#/15 reps
***Should have gone up a little.
Chest Flyes on Stability Ball - 20's/15 reps
***Wow did these burn. Really felt them.
Lateral Side to Front Combo - 8's-5's/2-6
***8's were way too heavy for this, did 2 sets wtih 8's and then the rest with 5's.
Incline Band Hammer Curls - Green band/32 reps
***This is a cool exercise!
Straddle Pushups - 18 Reps
Side Leaning Lateral Raise - 6#/15 reps
***6# was way too heavy for my right side where my shoulder hurts. Should have dropped it to 5#.
Seated Alternating Curls & Both Arms - 17's/16 reps and then 8 reps with both arms
Staggered Pushups - 16 reps
***I like these, they are easy for me.
Bow & Arrow w/Band - Green band/19 reps
Wide Grip Barbell Curl - 25#/21's
***Need to go up, here is where I realized I had only 25# on the bar.
Pushups Drop Sets - 14 reps
Pushups Drop Sets - 12 reps
Pushups Drop Sets - 10 reps
Pushups Drop Sets - 8 reps
Pushups Drop Sets - 6 reps
***10 second rest between each set. At this point I was fried. Had to go down on my knees for two reps with the 3rd set. Did on my toes for the rest.
Standing Upright Barbell Rows - 30#/15 reps
Alternating Standing Curls then both arms - 15's/16 reps; 8 reps with both arms
Pushups - 21's
***Was fried here. Did the low end on knees, high end on toes, full on knees.
Standing Barbell Front Press - 30#/21's
Narrow Grip Barbell Curl - 35#/21's

Brutal workout. I am still feeling it!

Belinda - Nice workout. Is this your 2nd time that you are doing STS?? How have you been feeling?

Jessica - Nice job on your workout! Cardio Fusion and STS, sounds like a pretty tough mix. You go!! :eek:

Chris - Have fun with Chest & Triceps. LOVE that workout! Always makes me brutally sore.

Roxie - Hope it doesn't rain for you. Seems like that's all its doing this summer. I'm sick of rain. At least we had a pretty decent weekend even though they called for storms for all of it.

I haven't had time to go back and read posts since Thursday. I hope you all had a great weekend. My mom is coming along excellently. I cannot believe how good she is doing this time. Makes me very happy! She is in the rehab place right now and should be there for about three to four weeks. We're hoping three. :)
 
Hi ladies! Sorry for disappearing while on vacation. I managed to work out every day. I even tried the Travel Fit.

Yesterday I did an upper body with push muscles sort of following the slow & heavy pattern. I did 3 sets of 8 reps:
Chest press
Chest flye
Incline chest press
Shoulder press
Lateral raise
Rear delt flye
Overhead triceps extension
Double arm kickbacks
Lying DB extensions

I followed it up with 30 mins of SB

Today I did legs, 3 sets of 8 reps and followed it with MMA Boxing:
Squats
Calf raises
Step ups
Plie squats
Static lunges
Deadlifts
Donkey kicks

Melissa - if people gawked at us on the beach boot camp, I didn't notice LOL. I'm sure some were questioning our sanity though!

Jessica - woohoo on the DOMS!

Debbie - good workout - holy pushups!

Hi to everyone else. Sorry for my short personals today, just can't focus. I'm having a self-inflicted bad day! I have a really bad attitude about my job today and I'm not going to get out of this funk until I go home and get a good sweat on.

Tonight was going to be CCV1 and CTX triceps but I think I need something a little more aggresive than V1...:eek:

Heather - where did you go? I came back from the states on Thursday. How did you like Travel Fit? Still haven't done that one, same on me:eek: Nice job as always on your workout. What rotation are you doing?

Debbie - I am doing ok! Still have a sinus infection. Unfortunately I forgot to get a copy of my CT scan (the doctor is sending it to me) which was done while I was in the hospital in Ga. My German ENT wants to see the CT scan (I had a lot of sinus infection going on in that one!); he is considering a second sinus surgery. My ears are fine for now, but both ENT doctors (American and German) are worried that I will get another ear infection since I had to take so many antibiotics the last 2 + weeks. My German ENT doctor said the American doctor in Ga had NO choice but to put me on so many antibiotics with all the infections I had going on at once. It’s my second round of STS! I am so happy your mom is doing better! Those pushups got me good today too!:eek: Awesone job, on your workout as always!

Roxie: thanks for the info on CLX yesterday!!! Hope you get a good workout in today, and your rain clears up. When we were in DC, the weather there was BEAUTIFUL, couldn't ask for better. But apparently, the weather here back in MA was cloudy/cold/rainy all week. And it's been cloudy and muggy today too. Ick.

Debbie: NICE job on STS today!!!! Those push up sets are tough. I love the bow and arrow with the band the best of those exercises!

Heather: Good for you for keeping up on your workouts. But really, for me, it's a TREAT To be able to get my workouts in on vacation! Your hard work definitely has payed off, you looked TREMENDOUS in your bikini on the beach!!! (read the blog) So jealous!!!! Are you back at work now? Doing a rotation?

Melissa: Sorry too for the crappy day at work. Hope the day goes by quickly. And you get a good workout in to make you feel better!!

Belinda - I was in Perdido Key, FL. We had a terrific time. So I bet you're happy to be home!

Chris - I actually took today off. Trying to ease back into reality. I don't really have any rotation in mind. I think for a couple of weeks I'm going to do a push/pull split and 2 leg days. One day push muscle group, next day legs, next pull muscle group then maybe add in floor work for legs a couple of days later. Winging it!

Bpm's= in 80 to 85% of my Max Heart rate range for approx. 18 Min

Core Cuts Cut#1 Standing Med Ball Abs= 12 Min w/8# med ball
Calories burned= 74

total calories burned= 389:( Not great for me but I just didn't have it in me today.
