Hi and good morning,

I had a good night sleep:eek: I have more engery today! My plan for today is, LIC UP premix.

Have a great Monday, everyone!

Happy Monday!

Today was STS Plyo Legs #35. I thought I would really struggle with this one since I haven't done the plyo workouts for a while, but I did better than I thought I would. I felt great - especially doing those air jacks at the end. :) I burned 337 calories. Now its off to work...yay!

Morning! I did L&G today and then did the Sporty Step segment from Mindy Mylrea's Cardio Toolbox. Good stuff.

Karen: I found that doing those Plyo leg workouts every week in that June rotation really helped me get better at them. I loved it- kind of miss them now but figure I should take a STS break for a while.

Belinda: Put that energy to good use! LOL.

Have a good day everyone!

Morning all! Today was cardio and I chose Amy's Kickbox Extreme. Not a great workout, but it was fun none-the-less. Her combos were easy to catch on, along with her intervals. The intervals were easy, though. My HR didn't get above 148 bpm with this workout. But I liked it and will do it again.

There are 5 combo's and intervals. All very fun. Of course the last combo had spinning back-kicks in it. I didn't get it at all. I will get these, though. I am determined.

HR STATS:
1 hr. 1 min. total
4 minutes below zone
45 minutes in zone
11 minutes above zone
465 calories burned

BBL!!!

Good morning Debbie and all who follow,

I am done with 4DS Cardio Power, I missed a cardio day last week :( I will do LIC Total Body premix as soon as my stomach is settled (I just ate lunch). I have a lot of engery today:eek:

Debbie, nice job with your KB workout. I gave DH (he is in the states) a list of DVD’s I want. LOL! My HR monitor isn’t working anymore, he is taking it back to Wal Mart. It worked for a few days than it stopped, worked again a.s.o? Not sure what happened! It was easy to use! I hope he gets the same one! How is your mom doing.

BBL! Have a great day!

Debbie: I can't really get those spinning back kicks either. Every now and I again I'll hit one and think YES but then NO, I still don't have it. :)

Good Morning,

This is a week of all new workouts for me tonite is Leaner Legs and abs. DH was sick yesterday so I never really ate a meal I spent my day grazing and it pissed me off why do I do that to myself I should have just sat down and ate something.

Hi!

I just finished LIC Total Body Sculpt! it was only 35 min.

Patti, now my energy is running out:p I did alot of cleaning today!

I need to cook dinner! BBL!

Just curious what the "requirements" are for chiming in on this thread?

Debbie - I tried the Kickbox Xtreme last week and was not terribly impressed either. My HR dropped on some of the intervals rather than increased. Kind of the opposite of what I expect from intervals. Time did fly by though. That has to count for something.

LOL Patti! Me too!

No requirements, really. If you'd like to join us, just post your workouts every day. We'd be happy to have you!

Same here, I found my HR would go way down during some of the intervals. And with some of the combos I was in my resting zone. Weird. It is fun, though.

Well I suppose I should start by introducing myself first. My name is Heather. I have always been very active. I danced (mostly ballet) for over 20 years so I am very used to exercising nearly every day. I started doing cardio and weight DVDs when finding advanced adult classes became nearly impossible. I am 34 now so taking classes with 16 and 17 year old girls is rather lonely.

Anyway, my sister turned me onto Cathe about 2 years ago, and I've been hooked ever since. I finished up STS 2 weeks ago and feel a little lost right now. I have spent an excessive (and obsessive) amount of time searching through posted rotations trying to find something that is flexible and will help me to continue with my current strength gains. I have a tendency to work harder rather than smarter and it's starting to wear on me.

Anyway, today I plan on doing Imax 3 and abs. Tomorrow I was going to do PU and PL (not ideal I know, but b/c I have the time to knock 'em both out). However, my DH may be working late so I may just do 30 mins of Imax 3 and PU today then PL lower tomorrow. See...over thinking.

Looking forward to meeting everyone,
Heather

Heather - I can so relate. I do the same thing. In fact, I am currently doing a rotation that has really taken me out of my comfort zone but I'm enjoying it so much. My body had taken a beating in the last couple years so this rotation, even though it is still intense, isn't taxing my body like my usual workouts would. I have shoulder and knee pains that just won't go away so I need to look into different types of training I think. I'm 43 and my age is catching up with me. :(

Hi Heather and welcome! I tend to overanalyze things that way too. I'm 35, two kids, mostly stay at home mom, former lawyer and sometimes a stress eater. :) I love new rotations and I highly recommend Debbie's December 08 rotation if you are looking for a great challenge that will maximize your new strength. :D I can post it if you like.

Debbie: Do you have a recipe for the garlic chicken? Looks good and I see you've posted about it a few times.

Patti - Thank you for the suggestion. I may try that one. I have the 4DS but have only used it for cardio thus far. How does it compare in intensity to PU and PL?

Thanks!
Heather

Heather: You'll love 4DS weight work, especially if you want to continue to lift on the heavier side. I will say the leg work is a little bit shorter than I prefer but it is still a good workout, just not one I use alone. If I do it I do another leg workout in the week somewhere. But for upper body it is probably my favorite of Cathe's- counts are a bit slower and reps not in the 1,000 range so you can go a little heavier.

Patti - thanks for the info. I believe I may start that rotation next week.

Today I did Imax 3 then PU. It's been sooooo long since I've done that one. I was thinking it was more strength, but I think it falls on the endurance side. I think I'll still be feeling it tomorrow though. I was able to lift a lot heavier than I did the last time I tackled it. STS really has helped me a great deal.
