Today I am starting week 2 w/P90X3 Synergistics and Week 4 w/STS D10 (CBS).

Wow, we are having some really cold weather. It's supposed to get down to 35 below tonight. It's funny, on the news they said that if you aren't at least 30 years old, you have never seen temps this low here in Ohio. Well, I'm way older than 30 and I remember these types of temps, but they still suck. I have to go into work and I'm afraid to drive. The roads are all covered with snow and ice. All our schools are closed. Fun...

Today I did Cardio Coach #3 and had a fairly decent workout althought my knees are feeling it. I'm going to try to do something all week and try to avoid hurting my knees. I'm trying to decide if I should make an appointment to see the doctor. My first line of attack is cutting out sugar. I want to follow the Whole 30 plan but I seriously don't see how I can and be as strict as they want you to be. Kudos to you, Chris, for doing it! But I will try to cut out as much as I can (sugar, gluten dairy) and see how it goes.

Today's workout was 37 minutes long and I ran 2.25 miles. I burned roughly 330 calories.

This is my rest/recovery week but I still will workout just not as long so just dialing it back a few notches. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their Monday thus far. I just finished today's recovery workout and will now check in

Here's today's recovery workout:

Daily HiiT- Any Time Fitness- Day 1 of 5 Day Challenge 5X = 35 Min
MV= 6.50
CB= 311


Cardio Coach Vol.2 revised- My Short Mix = 20 Min
Distance= 1.39 Miles
MV= 9.0
CB= 246

Total calories burned= 557

I haven't did a cardio coach on the TM in a while so this felt good and was running at a 3% incline to make it tougher and did a little faster faced jog at 4.7 miles per hour pace. Not bad since its been ages for me. Still it does need lots of improvement getting faster and covering more ground, still something to work on in the future. I felt like this was a good workout and I had to restrain myself from wanting to add more on and get that calories count up. I had to remind myself this is a recovery week so I don't need to go hard core, so I resisted the urge to add on.


Belinda- Awesome job with STS D10 glad your still loving that one. So one down and one to go later with your DH with P90X3. Keep up the great job on your workouts and its great your got your DH involved too! Thumbs up on that! Take care and have a blessed day!;):)

Debbie- Nice workout today with Cardio Coach #3. Excellent time and miles on that one too! I need to work on that. I'll try to work in gradually more CC workouts as I can. Its probably a good idea to not mess around with the knee thing and call the doctor make an appointment. I hope you didn't have any knee pain from today's workout. Please take it easy on the knees, even still that was a great job on today's workout. You are awesome girlfriend! Take care and be well!;)

DH and I did P90X3 Total Synergistics after he come home from work.

Melissa - good job on your DOMS. My kids are close, if the need something. I may go to DC on Wednesday and hang out with them My plan is to do a full 3.5 month rotation of STS plus the full 90 day Classic P90X3 rotation That is so cool, that your brother bought the original P90X for you

Nora - nice job on CC today. Your speed is very good considering you haven't done a CC workout in ages, WTG! My husband was the one ordering and wanting P90X3:eek: He likes the idea off shorter workouts. I think they are a good edition to my/our workout collection:p Do you have P90X2?

No workout for me today I have had stomach issues that I don't know if its related to my antibiotics or not. Still feeling crappy but a little better then yesterday.

Morning everyone! Staying warm? OMG, it's like 25 below here with the wind chills. Luckily my work told us we could stay home today, I'm so happy about that.

I had a great upper body workout this a.m. This is what I did:

3 sets of everything. Reps ranged from 8 to 12 depending on how I felt.

Flat Bench Press - 45#
Flat Dumbbell Flyes - 15's

Incline Bench Press - 45#
Incline Dumbbells Flyes - 15's

Overhand Barbell Row - 45#
Overhead Press - 8's - (I remember doing these with 30# dumbbells at one point in my training. OMG!)

Underhand Barbell Row - 45#
Hammer Curls - 15's
Lateral Raise - 8's

Upright Row - 25#
Dumbell Curls - 12's
Overhead Tricep Extension - 15#

Lying Tricep Extension - 10's
Ab Crunches - 30 reps
Elbow Planks - Tried to hold for 30 seconds - notice I said "tried" LOL!

That is all. I had fun with this and I feel pretty good today! :)

hi Girls!

I didnt' work out this weekend, and yesterday my husband got sick, so time was very tight. I had to taxi the kids around, etc and had little time for a workout. So I did TF HiiT 20 and a 5 minute ab work from Ab Hits.

this week I'm doing P90X in place of Meso 1. So today I did Chest & Back. WOW! that's ALOT of pushupS!!!

Roxie, sorry to hear you're feeling sick. hope you're better soon!

Nora, excellent workouts as usual! I'm always impressed!!

Debbie, nice weight work today!! Glad you had fun with it! ... I know Whole30 LOOKS hard, but truly, it's GOOD food. I don't have trouble sticking to it. Pistachios, cashews and almonds have saved my life when I'm hungry! But with the higher healthy fats in this way of eating, I find myself not as hungry as often.The hardest thing was giving up creamer and stevia in my coffee and tea. Now, I LOVE black coffee (never ever thought I would!). .... My headaches have been essentially non-existant with this diet. And I feel SO much better! When I ate "off" during the holiday, I noticed I was way more fatigued and started waking up with headaches too. It's so motivatin to eat this way!

Belinda,, COOL you have and are doing P90X3!!! I'm glad you are liking it. Another friend started doing it, but she hated that the camera angles were always changing and not showing the exercises. ... I am not the biggest fan of balance and core. In fact, I have P90X2 and have never done it, I know there's a lot of balance/core in that one too.

I did the Standing Portion of Great Glutes wasn't up to the whole thing and I didn't get home as soon as I wanted, I really need to start getting up in the mornings. I am feeling alot better today.

I think instead of doing a leg workout tomorrow I'm going to do a nice stretch workout from Karen Voight. I don't want to chance hurting my knees more right now. Anyways, workout was 37 minutes, I ran 2.25 miles and burned approximately 321 calories.

Chris - I know, I really should do it. I do eat along those lines but not as strict as they want you to eat. I can't seem to get rid of a dash of skim milk in my coffee to save my life - seriously, I have tried drinking black coffee. I can do it, but I don't like it too much. I will keep trying to wean myself off dairy. I've cut back on the cheese and am very conscience of the gluten I eat (or don't eat anymore). I'm glad to hear you are still eating Whole 30! I give you a lot of credit! I guess it's a lifestyle change when you just do it, you know?

This was a tough workout from Daily HiiT it was all upper body and was definitely challenging, loved it! This one definitely got all th upper body involved. Good stuff!:)

CB= 232

Total calories burned= 676:)


Debbie- Another great workout for you with Cardio Coach #1 well done and nice mileage and calorie burn;) I agree with you I'd skip legs workout with weights and opt for a nice Karen Voight Stretch instead for tomorrow. I'm sorry your knees are still bothering you. Maybe a nice warm bath with epsom salt would help later. Take it easy the rest of the day and relax and think out that bath suggestion. Great workout today WTG!!!;)

Roxie- Glad to hear your feeling better:) Good job for doing the standing portion from Great Glutes that is great! I know someday's I'm just not as into it as others workout wise so I can relate. Take care and keep feeling better!;)

Chris- it sounds like your weekend was busy. I hope your DH is feeling better! You mentioned you were doing P90X this week in place of Meso 1, that's a neat idea, I like it. Great job on Chest & Back from P90X, yes Tony does have you do lots of push ups those are always hard for me, but I'm getting better at it with practice. Have fun with P90X! Today I did Yoga Stretch by Karen Voight. Man, my muscles are so tight again. I can't help but wonder if that is the problem with my knees. They actually feel pretty good right now. I need to start stretching more again, I just never seem to make the time to do it.

Never got a workout in yesterday, I had no excuse either. Had the time, just never got around. So today I need to double up if DH feels up to it?

If my plans fall in place….we will do YogaX and The Challenge today.

Chris - I never noticed that about the camera?? My husband really likes this series, he did the original but the workouts are so long. He also had trouble with his hip w/the original series. Not with P90X3?? He does all the moves with no problem. I was thinking about getting P90X2 it's on Groupon half the price?

Hey Girls!

Busy day. First of all , I did wake up with a migraine, or what seemed what would BE a migraine (I ate chips last night). Luckily Excedrin Migraine made it go away. Luckily because I had to pick up my mom and bring her to a doctor's appt. She saw a GI doctor for the issues she's been having. They say it's due to lack of blood flow to her stomach (from built up plaque) and because she's 89 they wouldn't do surgery. Kind of sad I guess. My mom totally has her mind and , though uses a cane to walk and is weak at times, is pretty strong for her age! .. Anyhow, they said the could use meds for the pains she gets . and to control the pain by eating smaller meals more frequently. .... While I was at the doctors, my husband, who is home sick with the flu, called to say my 14 yr old came home sick too. I have a house of sickies! My oldest also has a cold. ugh ugh ugh.

I managed to do P90X Shoulders & Arms and TF Stretch 10, though.

Now to play nurse to the family! :confused:

stretching is great to do, Debbie. I also hate to schedule it or make time for it usually, but I ALWAYS feel great afterwards.

Nora, you are doing awesome with the HiiTs daily. LOVE KCM TLC! in fact I gave that one to my SIL for Christmas.

Belinda, That's weird my friend complained of the camera angles. Just goes to show, everyone is different. I have P90X2, but never took it out of the shrink wrap, I'm embarrassed to say. I did heat that P90X3 has ALOT of core work and plank work. I really do not like plank work. Is that true too?

Roxie, Glad you are feeling better too! What workout did you dotoday?

I did FT TS#2 this morning I couldn't do the butterfly situps at the end and those ab exercises are killer.

Debbie-I need to do more stretching to might help my shoulder blade.

No workout for me today. No reason really, my alarm clock went off and I automatically rolled over and changed the time to give me one more hour of sleep. Lazy anyone? LOL!

Nice workouts yesterday everyone! Chris, I hope everyone at your house feels better soon and I hope you don't get it. I'm not surprised to hear you had the beginnings of a migraine from eating potato chips. I ate a few dark chocolate chocolate chips yesterday and had a headache last night. I haven't had any candy or sweets in over a week and it's made a huge difference already in how I feel. So I know what you mean.
