Hi girls!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful saturday and those that worked out today awesome job~
If this was your rest day definitely relax and enjoy!
Here's today's workout:
P90X Legs and Back= 59 Minutes
Calories burned= 483
This was fun there was nothing other than standing legs and back work though. I added Butts and
Guts premix of floor work and core to round it out.
iTread 20 Minute Set6= 13 Minutes only as warmup for leg and weight work.
Calories burned=162
Distance= 1.0
Bpm's= 88,114,138
Butts & Guts-Premix- Floor work and Abs= 49 Minuts
Calories burned= 268
I'm substituting this workout for the Butts & Gutts Premix#3 Leg Blast. The reason why is that I'm doing P90X Leg and Back DVD and will do that in its entirety= 59 minutes. That dvd has no inner or outer thigh, hamstrings, or abs so I'm fitting that bill with Butts and Gutts Floor work and Abs to round out the Legwork properly.
Now for the fun part, my total calories burned from working out today= 913
I love that part!!
Belinda- Great job on your total body workout today! Your a rock star!!!
Roxie- Thanks, I'm glad you liked my post last night. Great job on your workout. I have a few of Ellen Barretts workouts that are the older ones, very good pilates and fun.
Chris- Nice low key workout today, those are nice. I have Turbo Jam and it was a lot of fun to do. So, I know you had fun doing that and stretch max is very nice and relaxing. Great job on the low key fun workout. To answer your question I have worked out since I was about 19 no amazing cathe worthy transformations or anything just trying to get in shape and loose weight. Now that I was diagnosed with MS going on 4 years now that I realized mobility is not a given nor is strength. If I wanted to regain strength, balance, and mobility I'd have to fight for it everyday by workingout so that's what I do. I've read that people with MS Neuro function can decrease and loose the ability to retain it. So, if you work out it keeps all those neurons firing and continuing to retrace those paths making them less likely to lose them. I got that info from a neurologist. I've researched a lot on MS and found out that its exercise is extremely beneficial even more so for those with MS it can improve strength, improve balance, and improve or maintain mobility, not to mention stronger bones because with MS you are more likely than not to have falls, I know I have. So, I figure exercise is essential for me to keep my ability to do things and function as opposed to giving up and being a couch potato and wind up in a wheel chair and having to pay for physical therapy I can't afford. This for me is preventative medicine and my own way of fighting my own disability in a proactive way. I know there is no cure for MS as yet, but there is some very exciting research going on striding to come up with better disease modifying therapies for MS, and eventually a cure. So in the meantime I figure I can help myself by doing what I can to be as active as I'm able to while I'm able to do it. I doubt you'll find anyone in wheel chair from MS saying wow, I'm so glad I gave up and surrendered to this disease and didn't workout to help myself. I'm stubborn by nature so I'm fighting the best way I can. My neurologist told me at my last visit that he's super impressed with me working out like I do. He told me most people with MS don't try to improve their physical exercise or try it at all. He was elated that I workout, most of the patients he has are in wheel chairs or have to use walkers to walk. So, I guess I sort of blow his mind. I should tell him next time, nah I'm just a Cathelete. LOL!!!
Wendy- Hi!! Great workout!
Heather- Imax 3!! Good for you my knees are not liking that lately so I opt for Imax 2 when a rotation calls for Imax 3. Have good day and give your sister a hug for me, she's going through a tough time. Nice of your hubby to help your sis with stuff, he's a good guy!
That's it for me today, tomorrow is P90X Kenpo X, I can't wait I love kickboxing workouts
Hugs~
