Cathlete
Hi and good morning,

I will do cardio today. DD wants to go to Regensburg today, I also have a PT appt.

I will be back later!

Good Morning!!

OMG, I just tracked my Shock Cardio and as of 1:15a this morning, it's ONE TOWN OVER OUT FOR DELIVERY!

I'm so excited!

I think I will got do 4DS: LIS + Abs and then do a Shock Cardio when it comes later!

Yesterday I did DISC 31, starting Week #3 of MESO 3. Tough stuff. I had to go lower in weights on chest presses, I was so afraid of hurting myself. My triceps were STILL sore from Friday's workout!!

Belinda: have a good cardio today! Did you order Shock Cardio? Do you have snow there? When does your daughter come?

Sorry I missed yesterday, Mondays are so hectic here, it's hard for me to think most of the time because of my lack of sleep from the weekends....

BBL!

Good Morning,

Tonite is Supersets Premix #17 Lower Body. We are suppose to get rain turn to snow this week do christmas might not happen. TTOM started yesterday and I feel horrible today.

Belinda-have fun with your DD today and how is the back?

Chris-I am excited for you I cancelled my preorder.

Heather-from all the clips I've seen I think Shock Cardio is just what you need.

Hi ladies. Last night I did biceps, triceps and back using the SH exercises and methods at the gym. I had a pretty good weight workout. I also added in some assisted pullups. Oddly, I am now feeling the DOMS in shoulders from Sunday, but nothing from yesterday yet. Weird.

I also did spin class with DH (kind of hard to back out when you have someone meeting you to do a workout). It was a new instructor and he apparently likes to work quads. He had us doing "loops." It was basically a grouping of moves that we did starting with each one being 1.5 minutes and at one point you got off the bike and held a static squat for 3 mins. The next loop was 1 min (squat still 1 min) the 3rd loop was 45 sec (squat still 1 min) then everything 30 sec (squat still 1 brutal min).

I have to say, I was really not wanting to do anything yesterday. Once I got going, I was fine of course. Not sure what's going on with me. I mean seriously, one I get started at all, I feel great. I really pushed myself with weights and enjoyed listening to my own music and focusing on form. Spin was fun. Maybe it's just that time of year - winter blues.

Anyhoo...hope everyone is having a great day!!!

You guys all have your shopping done? I finished mine up yesterday. I only have 2 more gifts to wrap and I am a DONE.

Today was Plyo X again. Starting to get sick of this workout and it really doesn't get my HR up that much anymore. I hardly broke a sweat. Don't get me wrong, I still like the workout, but feel like I should be doing something different. Not sure.

HR STATS:
60 minutes
7 minutes below zone
17 minutes in zone
36 minutes above zone
461 calories burned

I really hate the "hot foot" move. I did jump rope instead.

Wendy - Don't feel bad about forwarding through some of those rests. I sure didn't! There were some places where I knew I needed the rest and took it. But for other exercises, I didn't. I think if you just listen to your body you'll be fine.

As for taking workouts to the gym, it's been different for sure. I don't have a barbell at home (just now got the spare room so I can even have one) so I'm getting to work with that and use the assisted pullup machine. I have more options I suppose. Of course, I haven't remembered to take my weighted gloves, so no micro loading. I will say that being able to focus on myself and my form rather than watching the TV is making a huge difference - oh, and my own music! LOL It's the little things.

Wendy - Since my dad passed away this year due to a heart condition (which is genetic) my doctor wants to cover all bases with me. so the blood test is for chloresteral and all that. I need to get an echo done as well because I have aeortic bicuspid problem. I'll get that done within the next few months.

Nora - Nice workout. Are you already getting tired of the P90X cardio workouts?

Chris - How exciting about STS! I didn't preorder. I'd like the MMA workouts so I'll probably get those soon. Hope you enjoy them!

Roxie - Hope you have a great workout later!

Heahter - Nice job on your workouts. I know how you feel, I get that way sometimes. Usually with my cardio workouts.

Hey again...

I ended up ditching the LIS and going out shopping this morning. Did stocking stuffer shopping (costs an arm and a leg in the end) and teacher gifts (Dunkin Donuts Gift Cards + chocolate). And did groceries, and then brought some donuts to Jake's school office.

I came home, and my brown box from UPS was here !!!! I did Athletic Step!!!! It was fun, a good Cathe step workout, I think. I got a little concerned in the warm up. This is where her cueing wasn't so great. But it was just the warm up, and you catch on after a few times anyway. The rest of the workout, she cued pretty good. there were 2 or 3 complicated moves at the most. Not too bad! All I pretty much got by the end of the workout. Just one I wasn't comfortable with. It's an on -the-step shuffle (off the side) that leads into a SKIP across the top of the step, and into another side step shuffle. During the skip I feel like my legs twist and I might fall. Don't like it. Though maybe next time I will. My HR got UP there though, I checked it a few times and it was almost 180! I didn't realize i was working that hard either.

The music was fun, techno stuff, one recognizable song (instrumental). I liked it though. It motivated me. The stretch music was familiar, she has in another workout, don't know which though! It was making me crazy trying to think which one!

Belinda; Sounds like a busy day there!

Roxie: Oh, that sounds like a good premix, hope TTOM doesn't drag you down, I know it usually makes you feel horrible.

Debbie
: I'm not so sure I could do only those cardios for 3 months either. Do you think you could switch with something else?

Heather
: Maybe it is the winter blues? That spin class sounds brutal!! Do your legs feel like jelly when you're done? So, you're feeling ok about doing weights in front of other people in a gym too?

*waves* to Nora and Wendy!!!

Chris - I am sooooo freaking jealous. My box of cardio isn't due to arrive until Thursday and it's being shipped to DH's office. Um, no one will be there. I'm just so upset. Darn it. Glad you enjoyed the workout but no bragging! LOL

Yes, legs are usually a bit wobbly right after spin. I have figured out that I absolutely cannot do legs the day before a spin class. Well, I can, but it's gonna suck! Poor DH never does weights and was in serious pain last night doing the static squats. He's sore today. That'll teach him!

I'm actually over the issue of doing weights in front of others. I sort of tune everything else out around me. After so many years of dancing in front of mirrors and focusing on myself, this is really right up my alley and easier done than I had expected. Sounds a little vain I suppose. I love watching my muscles work though. It's fun too when a man next to me is using lighter weights teehee!

Chris-I had the whole shock cardio ordered and then cancelled it but that is one of them that I want to order on its own. There is only 3 of them that interest me so let me know how you like the other low impact step one and MMA kickboxing I don't want the fusion or boxing one.

For those of you who recieved shock cardio on videofitness they are saying that Step Moves is a waste of money and had very poor cuing like 4ds did please let me know what you think of it and Travel Fit these are 2 I was thinking of purchasing.

Oh I sure hope they aren't bad. I'll be sooo disappointed. Of course, I am still a little shocked at how terrible the warmups were for STS. Everything else is awesome, but that was really bad. Not like Cathe (or compared to everything else I own).

There are three bonus ones but I wasn't up to that. Experiencing nausea so I didn't do the bonus ones today.

Hellos and hugs to : Belinda, Roxie, Debbie, Chris, and Heather. Oh and if you want to see clips of all the Shock Cardio DVDs collage video.com has them up to view. If you find the warm up is not long enough for you maybe do a light jog outside or on treadmill for ten minutes, or run in place or jumprope for a little bit or try jumping jacks and jumping rope alternately. Just warm up enough to where you feel good to go. Sorry, just a suggestion, I like what I saw of the clips and can't wait until my preorder arrives.

Good night ladies, and sleep well. Seeya at tomorrows check in.;):)

Hugs!:D

Nora
